Measures my head circumference and went with the sizing information on the site but didn't fit well for me. Would have given 3 stars due to the fit - it doesn't really contour to the head it has its own shape and is odd when on - but it could be my head! Quality cap and great turnaround from order to delivery by Arc'teryx but will have to try another one.

I have owned a Calvus hat for over a year because it does a great job at blocking the sun, breathing when it to hot, retaining heat when it is on the chillier side, and cleaning very quickly. I went ahead and bought one for my wife; however, it wasn't as comfortable, and the size didn't work for her, so I picked up another Arc'teryx that did work for her. It also matches well with my other Arc'teryx products.

Just received my third one of these. First one bought around two years ago, the forehead part was all wrong, way too much material, as others have commented. Noticed Arcteryx had commented back about passing in to design team. Bought one two weeks ago and whilst there has been an effort to reduce the excess material at the front, it still has too much and doesn't sit right. Needs some of the padding removed I'd say. Someone bought me a black one last week, same issue again. Maybe it's just the materials not suited to getting the shoe right at the front.

I would have given this cap a 5 stars If it would have the possibility of washing it in the washing machine. Great fit and very light , holds well when windy. Great adjusting in the back for different head sizes.

Bought this for trail running and sometime hiking. Can't fault it during runs, comfortable, vents well and looks good. Only minor critique is it's surface clean only.

I bought this hat for hot weather hiking, it fits so well and is so functional I might wear this all year. Great materials and design. Favorite hiking hat, not my most fashionable.

I love how light weight, breathable and comfortable this cap is. Only con is the shape is a bit weird and not the most flattering for my head. But when I'm going for function over form, it's my go to choice.

The front panel on this cap really does inhibit it's use on warm day, it feels insulated in use.. I have far more airy caps than this one. Definitely a cooler weather option.. other than that, it does well resisting rain and the peak is long enough to keep face and neck dry, and therefor the vulnerable neck of my waterproof shell, on a rainy run

I bought this hat about a year ago and I love it! I use it predominantly for running but it's great in the sun. Great vibrant color! My biggest concern is the clip which broke and I can't seem to replace :( hat's in great shape the hardware is questionable.

I bought this hat 6 months ago and it has been great. I mostly wear it while running or lifting weights. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because during a full day of wearing it I usually have to tighten the hat once or twice as it can loosen over time.

Bought this hat to replace some running hats I own from other brands that weren't weathering too well. I've had this hat for about 8 months, and I've been really pleased with its durability. It washes well, is lightweight and comfy and doesn't lose its shape. I purchased the S-M and I do find I have to pull the adjustable sizing cord to the smallest setting to keep it on my head when running, particularly on a breezy day. I don't have an overly small head, so petite people wanting a snug fit might be challenged.

Overall an excellent cap, very lightweight and breathable...can feel the breeze through the back of it. Only downside is it seems a bit deep, it touches on the top of my ears which is annoying when wearing sunglasses. Also the front panel seems a bit 'baggy' and needs a bit of adjustment to sit right when putting it on. Overall fairly small complaints, definitely my favourite cap at the moment.

Great all round cap. Keeps your head nice and cool in the heat and sweat dries quickly. It did blow off of my head in high winds a couple of times.

Overall I like the improvements on revised version of this hat. Only issue I have is the adjustment strap in the back does not stay tight and loosens too easily.

I just bought this hat because I love my two previous Calvus caps and wanted one in blue. However, I am disappointed with the revised Calvus Cap. It fits completely different and isn't as comfortable. It comes down too low and hits my ears, it also doesn't fit my head as nicely. I miss the original Calvus Cap and wish it was still available to order as an alternative to the revised version.

I love that Arc'teryx makes hats in more than one size (I already have a couple of their wool large size hat) in some of their hats which is one of the main reasons I bought this one. What I didn't realize until after I bought it is that the care instructions say not to clean it. Seriously?? Are we not supposed to sweat when we're running and hiking?

I Like the old version of Calvus much better. Bring my Calvus Back!!!

Just wear the cap for fast hiking on sunny weather with 25-30 degrees C and my head sweated a lot. I was obliged to remove the cap from time to time. Maybe other products from the range would have been better adapded but it is the only cap with 2 sizes

I have owned two other Calvus hats that I wore almost every day. Unfortunately, I forgot one of them at a restaurant in Tahoe and the other was stolen out of my car in a smash-and-grab. I was looking to replace my favorite hat, but unfortunately, the new sizing does not fit nearly as well as my previous two hats. I tried the Sm/M and the L/XL. Apparently, my head is right in the middle and neither option fits as well as my old hats. The new fit is floppy and sloppy compared to the old fit; no good.

The backstrap loop dangles, which is annoying, and the headband elastic isn't breathable. Looks used after just a few days

It's quite disappointing that threads start to loosen up within a week of very light use, especially considering its premium price.

In the pics it looks like the hat has a normal smooth rounded cap shape. it especially appears this way from the quarter view that the product is shown at. But the front panel has waaaay too much fabric in it. It makes the whole top of the hat into a misshapen military flat top looking thing. I have a 24 inch head (large) and bought the L/XL. It's literally baggy around the front panel. Ugh. I almost bought another one right away in S/M cause the material and overall hat seem awesome. But I don't wanna risk that the S/M is going to have that same shape issue. Or could I literally get this hat tailored? I am thinking about it. Could have been SUCH a good hat. Huge miss with the fit / cut though. I might throw this on under a hood in an emergency but this looks too off to wear otherwise.

I bought this hat in Antenna color a couple of months ago. It fits comfortably under my helmet but its material is very prone to becoming stained from sweat, which is a shame given that my main intention for it was wearing whilst out running or hiking. I also washed it several times but wasn't able to remove the stain :(

This is a fantastic hat. However, the big downside is that is smells like a dirty sock if you do not wash it continuously after a workout or a multi-day trips. Over time the issue seems to get worse - similar to the old capilene.
