I have been using an Eagle Creek bag for well over a decade, traveling in Europe, and it was getting tired. This one looked good, but I was well-accustomed to the old one and was dubious. The bag has to he able to hide my foreign SIM cards & currency, have room for the book I always travel with, have places for pens and a flashlight. Two weeks traveling in the UK, and I am persuaded: great compartments to hide stuff, robust construction, clever design ... and I am still finding features and uses for them. The old bag is now officially retired.

Lots of compartments. Good size for a phone and a tablet, keys, etc. VERY stiff strap. Seems cheap because of the strap but my husband kept it because he uses it only to cart his stuff around when he plays golf.

Looking for a cross body bag for vacation. I ordered 6 from Zappos and this is one of,the two winners. Lots of top zip areas, adjustable strap (I am 6' so always need to lengthen strap). Big enough to hold camera, phone, wallet, eve small sweater. No seperate water bottle area??, but other features ,are up for that. No unhandy flap on top, just zippers. Handy smaller front zipper to items used frequently. Reasonable priced when I compared others. Not RFID, but purchased separate folder for that.
I'd also recommend:
Pacsafe

This bag is perfect for my needs. It holds quite a bit without being at all bulky. The various compartments make it easy to find items and stay organized. I agree with others that swivels on the straps would be nice, but I have had no trouble with the straps. This bag is now my go to pick when traveling.

Verwende die Tasche als stndigen Reisebegleiter zur Arbeit aber auch auf Reisen. Meine wichtigsten Utensilien sind damit immer dabei, griffbereit und gut aufzufinden.

I bought this to compliment by Blade 20 - it is perfect as I don't carry a Laptop everywhere but use my I Pad with a portable keyboard all the time. - Absolutely ideal. Holds my daily office essentials as I move around to different meeting rooms and buildings all day long. Was very functional on a week long business trip to Scotland that required a lot of walking.

I no longer envy my wife for her purse. I now have a bag of my own to carry those things that would otherwise be stuffed into pockets.

Brought this along for work trip recently after purchase. Used it to carry Surface Go, iPad, a water bottle and small note pad. Worked perfectly and was easy to carry. I have the black so it fitted in the conference/business setting well and packed nearly flat in my carry on when I did not need it. Can be used as a very compact personal item on flights as it will easily carry my headphones as well.

I bought this bag initially to be used as my day pack while exploring cities, as I found my 24lt back pack was unnecessarily large for this. My first trip with was to London, I carried it inside my 35lt travel pack easily and then carried it around instead of the larger bag or the 24lt one I used to use. On it's first outing it I took: Main compartment - * An average sized novel * A bottled drink (550ml) * Some snacks (chocolate bars and pork pies) * A phone charger (5" x 2.5" x 1") plus cable * An umbrella (bag sized) * My wallet. Front compartment- * A small notebook * A pen * A cr123 torch * A small Swiss army knife * A sorted loose small medical things (painkillers plasters etc) External- * A light gortex jacket I used the elastic strap on the back of the bag to hold my jacket while it wasn't raining, which worked well. It was exactly full with these items in which is perfect for me. I usually wouldn't carry a book while exploring a city I'm staying in however I had minced my travel book on the train in and bought one as a replacement for the return journey, so I knew I'don't got extra space in the bag for a camera etc next time. Since the first test I've been using the slingblade for commuting as well, again as my 24lt pack is essentially overkill for what I carry ( headphones, book, backup pens, umbrella, sandwich, phone charger), and again it it has excelled. I mentioned in the context section the strap adjuster. While the slingblade is comfortable over all, I find that if I try to sit with the strap still slung over my body the rear adjuster sticks in to my back. I find this an odd omission of thought by arcteryx's very competent design team. If the adjuster buckle were moved to the pack corner, and the tail of unused strap material were routed through into the 'padding' section at the back of the pack, it would make the slingblade a 10/10 day pack in my opinion. As it stands though it's a solid 9/10 and I genuinely enjoy using this piece of kit.

I've been looking for a shoulder bag to use when travelling so that I can store my iPad, phone, glasses, passport & keys in one place without having to stuff your pockets. It is very well made with lots of thought put into the design. I can't recommend it highly enough

I being using a simple vaude mans bag, around 6 litres, and before that an early TNF 4litre bag.... I'm always interested in good quality manly bags, which safely allow you to carry basic organisational items...phone, iPad, torch, keys, small jacket, hat, salad in the summer.... This size is about ideal for me...it can be popped in a bigger bag...then removed for a walk. I'm super pleased with this bag, the materials, zips, interior, position of pockets and usable strap...make it perfect for my needs..it safely caries my iPad mini, iPhone in the drop pocket at the bag, zips keep cards and money safe... It looks great...detail is superb on such a small bag... Workmanship on Arcteryx products is almost faultless..just chose the right product and you will be happy...

Good bag for travel, around-town, etc. The tripod shoulder option is great. The padded shoulder strap is very comfortable.

I travel a lot during the year and after using a pacsafe waist pack for quite some time, I've noticed I carrying more than it can hold. I needed something with a bit more space but still lightweight! I came across this pac when I was browsing the Arcteryx store in Vancouver. I liked how lightweight, stitching quality and materials used. It just feels well made. I threw a fair bit of items inside and without a doubt is able accommodate them (passport, 2 pairs of sunglasses, phone, charger, wallet, journal, iPad Air). Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and can't wait for my next adventure with more space! One thing they can improve on is adding quality paddin to the strap and backing of pack. I find the original padding to be a bit stiff and thin.

I bought this bag as a light commuter when needed great shape/zippers/compartments and light weight, much of which is essential to a nice bag. The key holder is a nice touch as well. What I didn't like was the strap that kept getting twisted too easily, which takes time to uncoil and reset. The coil strap to hold the The strap length kept changing when moving around, so hard to maintain position on body. I would sacrifice a bit more weight for at tad bit more padding as well. Suggestion: Interior lining could be brightened up, a gold or bright color lining would help in locating items within the bag. Waterfield SFBags do this very well with interior bags, but you pay a premium. I own a few of these and they are amazing for my gear. Guess you get what you pay for.

I love the size of the bag, it has plenty of room for everything I need, but the strap is terrible. It does not ever stay in place. The little cuff that wraps around it does not keep the strap where I want it, and so the strap always has to be fixed to be the right size. The strap should be a little thicker so it can catch on the buckle. I thought an arc'teryx bag would be out of this world fabulous, not so much.

I bought this bag because of the brand name and positive experience with the jackets. I have used it for a few months as a day bag and as a travel bag for a tablet. It is a disappointment and poor value for money. The design is pedestrian and the material flimsy. The shoulder strap is beyond irritating - it always twists and the very thin strap pad is not fit for purpose. Poor attention to design details shows in the absence of swivels on the strap, lack of reflective material on the bag or shoulder strap, and the insubstantial construction. The nifty little stowage space on the side of the bag is not deep enough and a Boarding Pass falls out. I would not buy this again. There are much better bags available at significantly less cost.
