I wore this backpack on a recent hike. I loved the size of it, I was able to bring all of my day hike items and still swing my arms without the bag getting in the way. I love the fact that it is not bulky. I do live in Las Vegas, so my back did get a little damp, but it wasnt overly sweaty like a typical backpack would make it. The only thing I would change about it is some sort of holder for your water on the outside of the pack.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I absolutely love this pack. I have taken to using this thing everyday instead of my regular purse because it never causes me any back pain despite how stuffed it may be. And it can hold a lot. It seems very well made, and the straps are strongly attached which is essential considering how lightweight this thing is and how heavy the contents can be. I have an older model in an orange and red and it still looks new- I bought another in the green just to have another color option.

I bought this bag about a month ago to use for carrying around my climbing gear, I was a little apprehensive about the straps being uncomfortable because they have no padding. But I was pleasantly surprised at how comfy the bag is! Also it fits a lot more than I expected, which is a nice bonus.

This backpack saved me and my belongings from being wet multiple times on the 4-day Inca Trail hike and heavy downpour in the Amazon. Stayed totally dried, though I did put a poncho over it when there was heavy downpour. There is a pocket inside the big zipper where I put my wallet, and that kept it dry and secure. There is a pouch inside the big zipper that is perfect size for a waterpack. My waterpack ended up leaking inside the backpack, but this backpack is so waterproof, that the leakage was contained in the pouch - no other items in the big zipper area were impacted by the leakage! In the backpack I carried a down jacket, toiletries, waterpack, 20 oz water bottle, sweater, rain jacket, and snacks - I couldn't believe how much I could fit in this medium-sized backpack. It is also super easy to clean - I just through it in the washer on delicate. I was worried the lack of shoulder pads would make it hard to carry when putting a lot of stuff in the pack during a multi-day hike, but the straps were surprisingly very comfortable. It did not even press into my sunburns on my arms. I am so happy to have purchased this relatively cheap backpack - I would have bought this for double the price - it is a steal.

Bought this bag for school and it is perfect! Carry's all my essentials and is very light. Great for lighter loads. Could be great for day hikes as well. Straps have little padding... but great for daily adventures! and great for the price as well.

This review mirrors so many others. AKA GET THIS PACK! I've used this bag for many perfect occasions: an afternoon hike, a day trip with my laptop included, going to the gym, replacing my smaller purse when I need to bring layers. The straps don't have padding, but you don't need it with the minimal amount of weight you should have in the bag (even when I carried my laptop it wasn't uncomfortable). Buy it, you won't regret it.

Didn't think I would like this piece as much as I do! Great bag and excellent quality. Fits all my essentials and is extremely comfortable to wear. Like the compartments, allows to easily organize your things!

I bought this recently for a camping trip and I'm a big fan of form fit function and above all style. (Above all). This backpack exceeds. It's so tasteful and very useful. I'm short and petite and this backpack does not feel like it consumes me but holds a lot.

This bag is lightweight and folds up into a small pocket, making it a perfect backpack to throw in your luggage while traveling and might need one for a day trip! The straps aren't padded, so I wouldn't recommend for a heavy load.

The best feature of this bag is for travelling; It rolls up smaller than a t-shirt, I put it in my main 38L bag then I have a little day pack to use wherever I go. I think the main reason this works so well is the straps are basically non-existent on this bag (very thin, no padding) but they're still somehow comfortable. I had issues with the inner layer peeling but apparently that's uncommon and arcteryx is giving me a new replacement.

I received this pack hoping for a worthy replacement for a travel pack I had outgrown. From the first day I have been amazed by the space inside and usability. I use the pack every day walking around town and on trips near and far. I have camera equipment, drawing & painting supplies and munchies in the pack along with iPad. Glad to have this pack.

I was looking for a small daypack that i could use for biking to school...this one fits the bill perfectly! I can easily fit a pair of dress shoes, lunch and some teaching materials in this little pack! It has a small zippered pocket in the main compartment which is great for small items such as pencils, pens, lip balm etc. The pack itself is very lightweight yet durable enough for biking in all weather conditions. I have yet to find a use for the larger outside zippered pocket but it is nice to have an extra compartment which i am sure i will make use of!! Formerly i was using a 10L daypack which wasn't quite big enough...the extra 5L makes all the difference! Thanks Arcteryx for designing a small, simple, lightweight daypack

I used this backpack extensively during hiking season this year. If you are looking for a backpack with support and comfortability for longer hikes this IS NOT the backpack for you. It does what it was built for well. Very light, it packs down into a small pouch which can easily fit into your suitcase, car door, carry-on, etc. I've taken it kayaking a few times and it is surprisingly waterproof.

I got this free as part of a promotion a few years ago. Initially I had a negative impression as it appeared flimsy and the straps are just nylon webbing but it's actually brilliant. This allows it to fold up to almost nothing and also weighs almost nothing. I use it as a day pack to carry essential items cash, tablet, battery, water, extra jacket that I need to carry or don't want to leave in a hotel room. At 15L the heaviest item I would carry is water, a laptop, and a power bank. The webbing straps are adequate for this and comfortable. Pros: Can use as an ultralight daypack, has not fallen apart after 3 years of hard use, has pockets everywhere I would want them, has loops for strapping extra gear. Can also be worn as a sling. Cons: The interior has some kind of rubber which peeled off after about two years. Probably the bag would be better without it because it's not waterproof even before it started peeling. Things that could improve it: Replace the buckles with side releases. Add two more loops towards the pack on each side so stuff can be strapped to it.

I got this pack as a gift and my first thought was - it has no features, why would I ever want a pack like this? But I was wrong! I use this pack all the time. From my daily activities of going for a walk, carrying a water bottle. I just came back from a pond swim and it carried my mask and goggles and towel and float. It hold a surprising amount. And when I went to Italy I rolled it up in my bigger full featured pack and used it as a day pack. I love this deceptively simple light little pack.
