I really wanted to like these sneakers. They are very cute on. But they destroyed my toe! I made the mistake of taking them on vacation and my right little toe became bloody after just one long day. Since then I've tried wearing them again for shorter periods, but the right shoe hits my little toe in such a was as to irritate it every time! I wish I could return these, but now they are "worn". The problem lies where the inner flap lays on the foot. I don't know why it's only the right side, but there's no getting around it. I've tried cosigning wit bandaids. They keeps the skin from breaking and bleeding, but it still irritates. Bummer.

I can't wear converse because they run so narrow, so I thought these would be a good alternative. I normally wear a wide shoe, but can sometimes wear regular width, depending on the brand. I bought this shoe in a wide and it was too narrow, pinching the ball of my foot enough that I just can't keep them. They also aren't great for people with high arches. The laces aren't long enough. I had to leave the last eyelet unthreaded to have enough laces to tie these, which made it feel like the shoe was going to come off. I love the styling, but these aren't true wides, and if you have high arches I'd go with something else. I'm returning them.

They were attractive and the fit/width was comfortable. However, the front half of the sole/foot had little to no cushioning compared to the softness and comfort of the heel. Returned.

Very cute but returned since they had no arch support whatsoever. The toe box was pretty narrow even in a wide size.

I'm super confused but my always-size-8.5 feet could not even fit inside the shoes at all. I kept checking the size to see if I was delirious and accidentally ordered a 5 (lol) but nope! SO BUMMED because these shoes are cute and check every box in terms of what I was looking for. Too bad they had to be sent back!

First - this is a really cute shoe. I really like the styling, and in spite of the fact I ordered a 9 Wide, they look small and cute on my feet. However. They fit strange. The width is fine and the arch support is in the right place, but the top of the heel area in the back seems to dip in, cutting into my skin. Further, the toe box is odd. It tapers in too much and it's too shallow, which puts painful pressure on the top of my big toes and noticeable pressure on the rest of my poor digits. I'm used to wearing shoes with good support that are comfortable. I've had an issue in the past with plantar fasciitis that took over a YEAR to fix and I have no desire to go back down that road. The insert in the Taos is just not good enough, and I'm not willing to pay this price for a shoe that quite honestly, feels a bit like sticking a drugstore orthotic in a pair of shoes I bought at the Mega-Lo-Mart around the corner. The quality is just not there and these shoes do not deliver on the comfort that they promise. I'm super grateful to Zappos for their amazing customer service and wonderful return policy. If I had purchased this shoe direct from Taos I'd be out over $20 for return fees. Hooray for Zappos!

I'm usually a 10W but ordered and 11W after reading other reviews and the 11W fit good, so the shoe does indeed run small so size up. The insole has a lot of support and they were initially very comfortable but after wearing them for an entire day I had blisters on my pinky toes. After a few more wears they seemed perfect and well worn in. After about 3 weeks of wear the canvas started to stretch and the insole no longer fit correctly and there was a small gap between it and the shoe and they began to feel way too wide. After about a month of wear the sole had worn down and lost any grip that it had. I do a ton of walking at work and these shoes did get lots of wear but were only great for about a month until the quality started to wain. So for $80 I'd skip buying them again.

Was so excited to get these, but sadly they didn't live up to expectations. I have plantar fascitis and read tons of reviews. They are cute but there is no lining, so it's just the canvas which is not really smooth on the feet- especially the top where the tongue area is. I had hoped to not wear socks with these. My biggest issue is there is a little arch support but not a lot. There is however metatarsal support which actually hurts the ball of my foot (base of toes) and I can only wear these for an hour or two before it's too uncomfortable. It must not hit my foot in the correct place. Might just try to remove the foot bed and put a different orthotic foot bed in them.

I have one foot with an old injury so I'm pretty picky about how shoes feel. These were cute so I thought I'd give them a try. I usually fall somewhere between an 8.5 and 9. I ordered an 8.5. I'm sure the 9 would've been perfect, but I decided to just return them as I'm looking for a softer foot bed for all day use. If you don't care about the foot bed (ankle support, etc) and you're on the fence about size, order half size up.

I was told I have high arches and I found the arch support is this shoe excessive. It was so high I was barely able to lace up the shoes and they left a weird bulge on the inside of the shoe. Beautifully made shoe but super uncomfortable.

I was looking for a new pair of sneakers and thought these were cute. I loved that they came in a ton of colors. I have been a true 7.5 all my life and after reading reviews ordered up. Even the 8 felt too small and just not comfortable. Bummer- I returned them, but ended up falling in love with the Freewheel sneakers from Teva and kept those. Thanks Zappos for easy purchasing and returns!

These shoes are very stiff in the toes and quite heavy. Also, The ones that appear and are named grey are actually a golden color. I am returning them.

I really like the look of these shoes. Unfortunately they are very tight. The right shoe seems smaller than the left shoe and it cuts into toes giving me blisters. I did not learn this until I had worn them. Now I will have to give them away. I am disappointed because they are cute!

I bought these in preparation for a week at Disney World. I wanted something neutrally cute, durable, and very comfortable. These are very cute and I really wanted to like them but they were too narrow, abrasive, & extremely stiff, especially around the ankle. Maybe they'd be more comfortable after breaking them in but I don't have the time.

Runs small, not true to size

This shoe is very stiff and runs a good 2 sizes small.

Love the color, but the shoe squeaked and was a bit snug. The Retro Star fit much better.

Have worn Taos before and thought this style was super cute, but found this shoe to run short and a bit narrow. Cushioning wasn't quite as good as I expected, so I probably won't reorder in the next size up.

I really wanted these, but they fit weird. The support would be terrific, if it hit my feet right. Instead, it hits awkwardly and uncomfortably. For just a little more, I'll stick with Allbirds.

I bought this shoe for a trip to France. I ordered a half-size larger, based on the reviews, and the shoe fit well. I wore it around the house and neighborhood to test and break in, then packed it and away we went. The first day I wore it, with socks, all day in Paris, I got a mammoth blister on my heel that caused me problems for the next two weeks. I tried all sorts of band aids, but the shoe wore them off. The heel at the top is very stiff and perhaps a bit higher than my other shoes. I could never wear the shoe again on the trip without heel pain. I am home now, and wearing it around the house and it seems fine for casual wear. But no major walking. Other than being crippled by the blister, it is comfortable with good arch support. Too bad, it is very cute and SHOULD be a great travel shoe. Alas, not for me.

I was looking for something more stylish but COMFORTABLE to wear instead of my usual running shoes. Thought with all the positive reviews these would be it -- aside from the excellent arch support, these are the most uncomfortable shoes ever! If you have a high instep or slightly wide feet -- don't bother. Even after getting them on they did not feel good!

Way too much arch support for me. Had to send them back.
