I really wanted these Taos Star shoes to work but I had two issues. I'm between an 8 & an 8-1/2. Other reviews said to order a 1/2 sie larger and I went with an 8-1/2. They fit but didn't allow enough room if you wanted to wear socks. I don't want to go all the way up to a Size 9. the second issue was the toe box seems a bit narrow. My big toe was right up against the shoe top, and there wasn't the extra room I normally find in Taos dress shoes. Wish these had worked but they have to go back. Thanks, Zappos, for allowing me to try these out.

Did not run small on me...had to return bc I read reviews and ordered a half size up of course my size and color was now not available... :(

These are super cute and I really want to like them but I am not super happy about them. I have a high I step which makes putting them on very difficult unless you want to unlace them. Also, they seem to rub my foot near the pinkie toe more than I would like. They are ok for a short wear but not anything for to long. I think that if the material had a little more give to them they would be great but they are very stiff and I think this is causing many of the problems for me. Also, I normally wear a 6 1/2 but got the 7 and think maybe a 7 1/2 would have been better.

These shoes are getting rave reviews, so I had high expectations. in my first order, one of the shoes had a slight defect around the ankle where the pieces did not smoothly join each other. This caused a bit of scratching. The Zappos team did a great job in getting me a replacement pair pronto. The second pair was an entire size larger. Perhaps Taos has changed the make since many people have complained about the sizing being smaller than expected. As well, the white rubber part of the soles looked very distressed. Again, the Zaopps team did a great job in assisting me. In the end, I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of a third pair. Maybe I will try a pair of Taos in the future, but for now, I am kind of done with them. The best thing going here is what wonderful people there are at Zappos...can never say enough nice things about their associates!

Cute shoe. Not super comfortable though. With thicker sock they seemed tight. Not sure how they will fair if worn without socks since it's winter now. But color was accurate and stylish.

They felt a bit too narrow and the back of the shoe dug into my achilles. The arch wasn't right for my foot, felt too far forward for me.

While I love the style, and the medium width fits my C width feet, it makes my wide foot look even wider.

They did not fit as anticipated.

Canvas is flimsy and digs into my heal. One of the reasons I bought the show was based on all of the positive reviews. Cute style but not even close to as comfortable as the other reviewers mentioned.

Pretty comfortable, but felt after walking around that the heel didn't come up far enough and slipped up and down. Toe box was quite narrow.

These shoes are perfect for comfort while walking around on a trip. Unfortunately they run very narrow. I never buy wide width shoes but these were super narrow. Unfortunately I had to return them.

So cute...so tiny. I usually wear 7 1/2, and ordered size 8 since reviews said shoes ran small. Size 8 is still too small.

Nice shoe. Looks like it has very good arch support. However, it is much too narrow! Please start making wide widths!

Such a cute shoe with a wonderfully supportive and comfy footbed, but the overall fit is just so tight and cramped. It's as if there's not enough volume in the shoe to fit a foot in, and it didn't seem to matter how I laced it. My toes were right at the end as well, and I actually ordered a half size larger than normal. Sad these didn't work out.

Shoe was very stiff. Tight across the width but loose in the heel.

I love Taos sandals, so I expected a similar foot bed with arch support, but unfortunately these arches are too high and stiff, and they hurt my feet. I thought I had high arches, but perhaps they have flattened over the years. I also thought these shoes could be a little wider in the toe area. I have not given up on Taos, but these shoes didn't work for me. Thank goodness for Zappos return policy, because Taos is discontinuing this style, they are on sale, and returns are not allowed, e.g., they are "final sale". So glad I could try them on first!!

The footbed cushion under the toe area was none existent. I should have believed the review I read that stated this. They might be good as a house shoe, but forget about wearing them outside.

My feet hurt all the time and I needed a good shoe. The second I put these shoes on, I could tell they would nor help me. They are cute shoes, but not for me. Arch support is huge- and these shoes lacked that.

They fit like a medium width. I have another pair in this same shoe, same size, and the the other pair even look wider. I like the looks of this shoe, but it’s just too narrow so I’m returning it.

Reviewers advised ordering a 1/2 size larger, which I did. But they were much too large so I'm returning them. I don't think my usual size would fit well because the toe box of this style isn't wide enough for me.

Too stiff and uncomfortable. I have low arches but they rubbed the top of my feet. I couldn’t wear them very long at all before I had to take them off again.

Website indicated they run big, size down. But they are too small, should have ordered size 9, not 8.5. Also, shoes not very comfortable, nice arch support but not much padding

The shoes were a little wide (my feet are narrow) but I've compensated before by ordering a 1/2 size smalller. But didn't want to do that this time because it was beginning to hurt my toes. I'm just not going to wear a Taos shoe any longer since they are not available in Narrows.

I ordered a half size larger than what I normally wear, and it was still too narrow. Am returning.
