Even the wide isn't wide enough. I needed to loosen the laces to maximum and still be able to tie. These shoes are comfortable initially with good arch support and cushioning. However, after a few hours I was aware of rubbing on my right pinky toe. After prolonged wear the rubbing was quite painful. When I removed the shoes I saw reddening on my pinky toe, bunion top, and even a small blister on my third toe. Normally I would wear thick socks to minimize rubbing but, as I said, the wide isn't all that wide and so doesn't accommodate this. I guess these will not be my goto shoe for vacation walking!

I read reviews before purchasing and was so glad I did. I ordered a half size larger and it was exactly what I needed. I was expecting these to be so comfortable after reading the reviews but they weren’t. I have been having issues with my feet lately and having a difficult time finding shoes that are truly comfortable and was hoping these would be the ones. They aren’t but they were cute so I bought new inserts that have helped.

I wanted to like these shoes -- but have to return them. There is simply no room in the toe box.

These are so cute and I had such high hopes! The wide worked beautifully for my bunions, but this is serious arch supports. Like orthotics. I compared them to my New Balance walking sneakers and my Dansko clogs, and the rise starts much closer to the ball of the foot and runs all the way down the inside with a support hump. So they're not for me unfortunately.

at Least a half size shorter and more narrow in the tow box than expected. I think a wide width would have been too wide in the heel. Good arch support though.

These shoes run very, very small, at least in the larger sizes. I usually wear an 11 so I ordered a 12 after reading the reviews. They are still a little short and they don’t have enough room in the toes. These are more than a full size too small! The arch support seems to be quite good but they would never work as a travel shoe given that they are so short. Very disappointing! You should consider going up a whole size.

I tried the Taos Star and the Taos Plim Soul, both in size 8. My big toe hit the front of the Taos Star. It is also a more narrow shoe at the front, whereas the Plim is more foot shaped. I don't wear heels or tight shoes ever so my feet are spread out in the front with my toes pointing forward - and I am a shoe comfort snowflake. I suppose if your toes point towards your big toe you may not notice the narrow front. I love the tan color so much I am considering ordering up a half and a whole size, but for now sending this one back and keeping the Plim Soul. Both of these shoes are superior to the Superga 2750s I have; for me extra cost is worth it.

I really liked this shoe but it runs small and the medium width was a narrow medium width. If you wear a narrow foot you might want to give this a try. Great looking casual day shoe.

Sadly these didn't work for me. I need to be able to wear them with orthotic inserts and they just didn't work. If you have a height arch and don't need orthodics these might be for you since there's a hefty arch support.

Stylish and very attractive looking shoes. I got these at the same time as a pair of similarly priced shoes from a different brand. The Taos shoes were clearly the better made and more comfortable. The insoles are surprisingly good. However, I have to return these. I need to use my custom orthotics and that changes the fit of these shoes too much for me. Rubbed my Achilles tendon and the shoes are so low profile that I could barely get my foot into them - and I ordered a full size up over what I normally wear.

I normally wear an 8 wide, but I could barely get my foot in these. Very cute shoes, but they will have to go back.

Much too small. I usually wear a 9 and could not even get it on my foot.

Loved the shoe. Very cute on BUT if you have any kind of bunion the grommits of the shoe laces dig right in. Even through I ordered the wide. Not wide enough or shaped for bunions. :(

I am bitterly disappointed to not be able to wear this shoe. The arch support is fabulous, the appearance is great, I love the materials. So what's the problem? As most reviewers indicated, the shoe feels a half-size too small... my bad luck that I normally wear an 11, and though Taos DOES make that rare breed, the 10.5, they do not make an 11.5, which is exactly what I would have needed. The 12 is just too long in the toe to wear with any but very thick socks, and I wanted a summer sneaker I could wear with thin socks. I tried the 11 in regular and wide, but both squeeze my toes too much to be comfortable. Sending them all back with a tear in my eye.

These sneakers are cute and would look great with shorts or casual skirts but the fit is off. I ordered a half size up based on other reviews and I also ordered a wide width which I normally do not need. I still could hardly get my foot into either shoe. I am very disappointed as these are so much more supportive than other sneakers that are not running shoes. I would order the next bigger size if you try these. I am giving them 3 stars because they look great and do have good arch support even though they don't fit my feet.

Wanted to like them, but the supportive footbed is so stiff I feel like I'm walking on rocks.

Wanted to love these shoes! But they rubbed my heel and there was no way for me to fix that. They have to go back :( Crazy cute though

This shoe is cute and has good support, but is SO stiff and uncomfortable! runs half to a full size small - after getting the larger size I hoped it would work, but after wearing it inside my house for half an hour, my foot was sore. Definitely not a comfy shoe.

These shoes are cute, casual shoes. They are as shown on the photo. My main issue that the shoes are stiff both in the upper area (even though they are canvas) and the bottom (sole has no flexibility). I returned them.

The toe box on this shoe is very tight and the canvas is very stiff. I even ordered a half size up and still had problems with the tightness (even though I have a thin foot with medium width). The insoles do provide good comfort and support, however.

I found the insole to have way too much arch support for me. The shape of the arch was so high and hit my foot funny, and felt too far forward. The shoe felt stiff and as I walked the heel felt too low on my foot and slipped a bit. Ran about 1/2 size too short for sure. I also tried the Retro Star which is the suede or leather version, and it was much more comfortable overall but still the insole was uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, these were so so small. I even ordered half size up like others suggested but they still didn't fit. They looked cute but just not good for my feet.

Very clunky when walking. They don't have much bend in them.

They really do run small. I wear a size 9 and the 9.5 fit perfectly. Arch support was good but the sole under the balls of my feet felt very thin so the shoes are going back.
