I can’t wear Vans or Converse because of the lack of arch and heel support. I read reviews for this Taos shoe and decided to try them out. It took a few tries but I finally settled on the Size 8.5 Wide width because the regular width was too narrow and tight but the Size 9 was too long. I can wear these shoes for several hours and not have any heel pain.

These are great shoes but I'm exchanging for my true size. I followed the advice given on many of the reviews to order a 1/2 size or more up as they run small. I received my order and they were too big. I will wear these without sock or with a very thin "footie" type of sock and the 7.5 slipped at the heel. Otherwise, love the style and comfort.

they're short... i wear a 8.5 or 9 so i ordered a 9 and my toe hits the front.... too bad cuz they're very cute!

Recommended to size up but that advice didn't work for me. Need my actual size, 8.5, not a half size longer.

I am in love! I have tried many cute sneakers and they all fell short for some reason. Lately, I realized I have high arches and these Taos sneakers support me all day long. I can walk all day in them! They are cute and completely comfortable. I want more!

Finally, a cute AND comfortable shoe! I have high arches, pronating ankles, plantar fasciitis, a heel spur and a bunion on my right big toe... at 34. Life has not been fair to my feet. Rarely do I actually find shoes that are both cute AND comfortable. If I do, they are usually insanely expensive or don't last a full day on my feet. These, while just barely broken in, lasted an entire 3 day weekend at Comic Con! I will be buying more!

These are my favorite shoes right now. The high arch support and soft heel cup perfectly mimic the orthotics my podiatrist made - so comfortable! I can walk for ages in them, without the athletic shoe look. They ran a full size small for me - usually wear a 9, had to settle on a 10 in these, but they were worth the hassle of returns and exchanges.

I love these shoes so much I am ordering another color. I wear an 8 AA to AAA shoe and had doubts about these since another similar brand is so wide. I was pleasantly surprised that these feel very narrow and fit me perfectly. The arch support is perfect for my foot and I wore them all day the first day with no discomfort. A bonus is the laces stayed tied 8 hours! Win win!! The gray color looks great with jeans and will be perfect with my summer shorts.

Very cute and comfortable. They do run a tiny bit small so you may want to size up a 1/2 size. They look great with jeans and leggings.

Really nice shoes. I wear custom orthotics for planters fasciitis but the insoles in these shoes are so great, I may not need them.

I love the color of these shoes. They have a high arch support, but they are just the tiniest bit on the narrow side and can be a little tight after I've worn them all day. I still love them and continue to wear them, but if your foot is borderline M/W (mine is not), you should definitely consider getting in wide.

Seriously LOVE the style, fit and compliments I get with this shoe! Not a day goes by that I have foot pain (this happens with me all too often: bunyons and Mortons' Neuroma). And to top it off, people of all ages, ask me where they can get some! I got charcoal ~ looks good with EVERY color pant & shorts!

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. Unfortunately, I had to return them due to the fact that a 9 1/2 was too small and a 10 was too large. Great arch support. They look perfect with shorts, capris, leggings, etc.. Wished they had fit! :(

This is my second pair of Taos Star shoes. They run 1/2 size small, but I knew this from my previous pair. I purchased my first pair in August before a trip to France, and they were pretty much the only shoes I wore. I walked a lot on many surfaces, including a lot of cobblestones. Great arch support, and very comfortable. My blue ones are getting a little boring, so I have upgraded to red!

These are super comfortable sneakers with great arch support! I don't need to put an orthotic in them, the insole they come with is supportive enough to allow me to wear them all day without foot or back pain. They are holding up well, too.

These are very comfortable. I have a hammertoe that usually gives me lots of problems but not in this shoe! I like the arch support, which can be non-existent in other brands of this style. Wearing them all day long is a treat for me! I will buy these shoes again.

I was hoping these would be comfortable and they are super-comfortable. When I first tried them on I was worried but I can wear them on long walks or to work on long days and I don't feel like taking them off even at the end of the day. Very comfortable!

This is my second pair. I have grey color and now got red. These shoes are very comfortable. I wear them without socks and haven’t had any issues with blisters. Super cute with jeans or even a skirt.

Bought these in both the black and the chocolate. They're classy sneakers and very cute without socks with narrow jeans or leggings. The insoles are more padded than less expensive sneakers and comfortable for a day on my feet and I like the extra room that the slightly rounded toe provides. I accidentally spilled meat drippings on one of the chocolate shoes while almost brand new. I soaked it overnight in OxiClean and tossed it in the washer on gentle (figured they were ruined and I had nothing to lose). I stuffed it and let it air dry and was thrilled with the results. It faded a little but not enough for anyone to notice the difference in the other shoe. After that, I'm not at all worried about wearing them in the rain!!

Reading the reviews I went with my usual 8.5 but tried a Wide and it fits well. I'm impressed (A Lot!) with the arch support in this shoe. I have a lot of feet problems and it is nice to find something that I can wear instead of athletic shoes with custom orthotics.

I have this in two colors and for a simple sneaker, I get loads of compliments. They are very comfortable with or without socks. I like the wide shoelace. I think it’s what makes this shoe unique. I didn’t want white laces on the black sneaker so I bought wide black laces on Amazon. I think Zappos sells shoelaces but I couldn’t find them. It may seem like a high price, but the quality is there. If you don’t slog through muck, these will last forever.

This shoe is wide enough for my bunions but only AFTER I wear them in. I'll just keep working on softening the stitching at the point of bunion contact. The arch support has sold me on this shoe.

Love the style, love that they come in a wide width with really good arch support! For me I ordered my regular size 7 and they fit perfectly. Can't thank Zappos enough for their generous return and exchange policy and excellent customer service! Mil gracias!
