If you have foot pain near the ball of your foot, this is the shoe for you. I normally wear a 7.5 to 8 dress shoe and usually size up to an 8.5 in exercise shoes. I found that the size 8 is a perfect fit, as your toes are not squished into a tapered toed box. My walking feet are happy!

I found the shoe very uncomfortable in my arch and toes.I felt there was no "cushion" whatsoever.

It's a very lightweight shoe and looks better than in picture. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try it on because it was a size 7 shoe in a size 10 box! Just from examining it, however, it appeared to have good support. I did notice a seam near the toe that was aesthetically poorly done, but don't think it would have compromised the structure of the shoe.

Although these shoes are not exactly "cute" - they provide the best support of any zero drop shoe that I've tried. Lightweight, yet stable, they are fabulous for wherever you choose to work out. I was even surprised at the traction during trail runs. I am usually a size 8 1/2 in running shoes, but ordered my regular shoe size 8.

I have worn these almost every day since I got them about two weeks ago. I wore them a bit more each day as instructed to get used to the Zero Drop. It is a very good idea to go slowly because I could definitely feel my tendons changing in my feet. I have worn custom orthotics for 20 years and no longer need them or miss them. I have purchased Correct Toes and can wear them inside the Altra shoe which isn't possible with any other shoe. I did have to cut off the pinkie toe separator on the CT but that isn't uncommon. I have worn New Balance for most the past 20 years. I got a 10.5 in the Altra and have always gotten an 11 in NB. I find the 10.5 is plenty long enough. I have bunions and hammertoes as well as metatarsalgia ....ugh. None of these problems are nearly as noticeable or problematic as they were in all my other shoes. I am very well pleased. I have run since 1978 and done a lot of Ultra marathons as well. I cycle and hike. All of these are compatible with the Altra shoe. ( I will write a separate review on the trail Altra I bought ).

I normally buy a size larger (9) in athletic shoe than I do in street shoe (8), but after trying a size 9 and then an 8-1/2 in this shoe, I settled on my regular size 8. It fits perfect!!! Now, if Altra would make street shoes using the same w-i-d-e toe box with narrow heel, they would have ALL my shoe business!!! Many thanks to Zappos for the great service, which is quick, fast and in a hurry with free shipping! Zappos is the bomb!!!

My "street shoe" size is 8 and the athletic shoe size 9. I have the Provision 2.0 in a size 9 which is too long, however, comfortable. I ordered the Provision 2.5 in an 8 1/2 but it is the same length as the Provision 2.0 size 9. I am going to order an 8 and compare the two before I send the 8 1/2 back. I have to change shoes every 3-4 hours because of numerous problems on one foot. This is the only shoe I have been able to wear all day without pain. I just wish Altra made street shoes!

I LOVE these running shoes! I have owned these for three months and before that I had been searching for the shoes that keep my narrow heel in place, support my pronation and let my toes spread out. Lightweight with enough cushion for running comfortably. Happy camper here!

I have a wide toe box and narrow heel, slight pronation and low arches. Love these shoes. Did not even have to break them in...comfort from the first. Am in my late seventies and getting back to walking and these make it easier.

These are the most comfortable shoes! I bought these on my nephew's recommendation. After wearing them for a day I knew they were the best shoes for me. I have toe problems and these have plenty of room without looking clunky. Oh, what comfort!

These are great shoes for someone who deals with a foot that spreads out at the toes when standing. Love them!

I have been wearing Altra shoes for more than four years and this type of shoes have literally saved my feet. It takes some getting to so do allow for an adjustment period including knowing what the best size is. But once the transition is made, you will not want to go back to a more traditional type of athletic or everyday shoe. For me, Altra Shoes are an everyday event with no other brand currently in the closet. Thank you, Zappos, for offering the brand and selection of styles! The Provision style definitely helps with arch support and the foot splay is excellent.

This is the lightest stability shoe I've ever worn. I over-pronate and I hate the feeling of having to strap bricks to my feet. Most stability shoes are so heavy! Altra does stability completely different than most brands. Most brands have a dense post on the inside of the shoe (which adds to the weight of the shoe). Altra puts what they call "varus stability" and make the inside of the shoe slightly higher than the outside of the shoe to prevent your foot from collapsing inward. Genius!

I love the wide toe box of Altra shoes because I have a Tailors Bunion. But the toe box on these shoes is really wide.

I've had surgery for Morton's Neuroma in one foot and had read online that this was a good option for walking and cross training going forward. The sizing is true to what I've worn in other brands, and the shoe provides better than average arch support. I love the wide toe box, as wearing shoes with more narrow toe boxes is what leads to issues like Morton's Neuroma for many women. Quick delivery made finding the right size and model a cinch.

Very comfortable, supportive shoe. I like how it supported my lousy arch. The only problem I had was that I walk outside, I live in cold country, and this would only work here in the summer. It is well-ventilated.

I have narrow heels and wide balls of the foot/toes so finding sneakers that don't slip in the heel is always a challenge. These were the only sneakers I could find that didn't slip on my heel and create a blister. A few months after starting to run in these sneakers, I did develop a stress fracture in my shin (and didn't make any other changes to my running). I can't say for sure that these sneakers caused it by any means, but I would urge others to adhere to the adjustment phase that Altra recommends. I didn't and wonder if I would have faired better if I had. But at least I didn't get blisters on my heels...

While I love the style, nice generous toe bed, and the pretty orchid and black color, I found these are not as comfortable for me as they were rated by most people. I did get a half size larger, which I always do in an athletic shoe. I have five pairs of athletic shoes, different brands, and I think these are least comfortable. Could have more cushioning and support for over pronation. That being said, I wear them with the same color top and black pants, and it looks sharp. I mostly wear them occasionally, when I want to feel more dressed up.

These shoes did not dissapoint. I had the original Provisions and these have a thicker sole but still not too much. I tried the pink in a size 10 first but it was tooo pink, and a little big. The 9.5 size is just right although I have bought size 10 in the past. I wear these for walking and just knocking around. There is plenty of room for my toes to separate, and my bunions, and planters facitisis have been going away since I started wearing Altra shoes. I have had a few other pairs of Altra shoes, and I wear the Olympus for work at a hospital. My feet feel great after 12 hour shifts
