These are very disappointing. Alta has re-designed all its new shoes to a more narrow medium that brings them closer to the median/average foot of standard consumers. I need a wide shoe and the previous versions of the medium Altra fit great. No more. And Altra does not offer wides. So I can no longer wear the Altra brand shoe. Good bye, Altra.

I bought this pair based on a recommendation of superior arch support for my plantar fasciitis. I'm on my feet all day at work, and these Altras are very comfortable and give great support. I'd prefer something a little more plain, style-wise, but the fit and support are excellent.

I'm not a runner, but wear these shoes every day. The wide toe box is so comfortable, I don't feel confined at all. The cushioning is superior, and this particular shoe has a stabilizer to keep me from pronating. Since that is something I've always done, there was a window of adjustment involved. I have very flat feet, but thanks to these shoes, I can be on them for far longer. I will definitely buy again.

Ever since I switched shoe brands to Altra I have been so happy. Their foot shaped toe box and zero drop has made it possible for me to run again. I suffered from all kinds of issues with stability and bunions from narrow shoes and Altra has helped make running comfortable for me again. The Provision 2.5 is a nice upgrade from the previous model and continues to be the best shoe I've ever worn. I love the color of the new Black and Red version, which has previously been the only drawback to Altra's style (not so great colors).

This brand has made their shoes significantly narrower. I have owned several pairs of Altra sneakers and they fit great. I have now tried different sizes of two different models and they are simply too narrow.

Been a big fan since I discovered altras for trail running. I've been happy with these for dreadmill runs and also just wandering around. I'm hoping to get a little more life out of these as my trail shoes only live for about 250-300 miles.

I ordered the Silver / Cyber Yellow in a 12. I took the recommendation to order a half size larger. I normally wear a 11 1/2 and the 12 was just the right size. They recommend the width of the thumb and it was spot on. I also ordered a size 12 in the Black / Racing Red but the 12 was more like a 12 1/2, so on that one the size was too big. These are very comfortable shoes and are what I need for my Correct Toes. These have done wonders for my feet. If you wear Correct Toes or have wide feet, I recommend these shoes. These Provision 2.5 have nice wide bottoms and give the support I need.

My first pair of Altras was the Provision 1.5. I really liked them and appreciated the wide toe box and zero-drop design. They were perfect for someone with wide, flat feet like me. I moved on to the Provision 2.0 and didn't like them as much. Twice as much cushioning as the 1.5, which seemed unnecessary -- they were kind of ugly, too. So far, the 2.5s are much better than the 2.0s. We'll see if they live up to the 1.5s. They've been good so far, though.

I love these shoes. They are very comfortable and fit my feet well. More cushioning than other Altra models which works well for me on long runs. Sizing is true with plenty of comfortable toe box room. My only concern is that the material above the bend in my toes is a little stiff so I have felt it during the first few miles on these shoes. It does not rub or cause any blisters so there is no performance concern. I love Altra shoes. This is my fourth pair and I expect to buy more in the future.

I love these shoes!Incredibly comfortable and light weight with a wide toe box. I bought a half size bigger, they run a little short but overall a perfect shoe.

Arch support is not much, or seems notably less than what I think of as 'moderate'. Room in the box was less than I expected given the idea of some arch support and a wider toe - however my large (15) foot fully filled the shoe and the longest toe pushed the end when I used just the shoe and foot pad out of the box. With arch support such as Superfeet it has become a comfortable shoe for casual walk around use but without a larger size I wouldn't pick them to run in. I LIKE the idea of the wide box , which does let my long toes stretch and spread much better. The arch is something I will continue to experiment with, I my try both more arch in a more supportive model, and less, but with orthotic added. Not certain about the zero drop overall, but I very much like that there is less foreword tilt from the shoe... Just needs more arch somehow so heel doesn't slide forward so much. I am a walker rather than runner and the company has focused on runners so perhaps it will be awhile before their product line expands toward older, ex-lineman/rugby-foreword, ski-foot walkers.

I purchased this shoe as I wanted to try something different. I used to be a New Balance fan, but their quality is not what it used to be. Back to the altra shoes: 1) Their advertising is true, the toe box is amazing and my toes love it. My forefoot splays out so much that it looks like I have duck feet. Altars accommodate this wonderfully. 2) The zero drop design is different and I found that makes your muscles fire differently. So far I noticed my calves are firing more with the increased range of motion they have with a zero drop design. 3) The shoe itself has ZERO arch support. I have pes plans feet that splay out like a duck. I have slowly weaned out of a high profile ucble design to a more minimal design, so I will be exploring this with these shoes to improve support reducing my tibial is tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. 4) last my only issue with these shoes is that the heels slide. I am not sure if it is just too low cut or that the heel counter needs to be more supportive. Tried a half size smaller but same heel sliding but with crunched toes.

The shoe turned out to be of lower overall quality than one would expect for the price paid. The heel cup wore out after a few months of very light usage. Not going to buy this brand again.

This is my second pair of Altra's the first I had the Torin I really like and still have. These were great until 2 months in when they caused a blister on my heels of which I never had before, I guess my heels are not made right for this model, so I had to stop wearing them. Other than that I liked the cushion and feel.

In a word, BLISTERS. There is a something causing friction at the front inside parts of the shoe - right where the sole meets the upper. Love the zero drop, love the cushion - but cannot wear due to poor transitions points of the inside of shoe.
