These are very comfortable out of the box. I wore them walking all day with no issues. They work well with Orthotics.

I am so happy! I have terrible pf and have to wear an orthotic all of the time. I had given up on sandals, and then I saw this shoe and thought I would take a chance. I was right! The footbed came out (after some tugging) and my orthotic fit right in. The lip of the shoe is just deep enough that it doesn't show at all. Yea! I have worn it for about a week now and am so happy. Its a very supportive shoe and allows me to be stylish and sockless without agony! Thanks Bionica - please make more like this!

These just didn't work for me, a little too snug in the toe box and a seam that rubbed on my little toe. And they made a squishy sound with each step, so back they go.

After wearing these shows a dozen times the velcro strap fell apart. They were not stitched properly, nothing I tried will hold the velcro onto the shoe. They aren't inexpensive & should last longer than a month. I'm very disappointed in this purchase.

Sadly, as much as I wanted these to work out, they did not. In walking around the house, I found the left shoe fit fine, but the right kept rubbing, which does not normally happen for me. I will keep searching, but love Zappos for the customer service and selection!

I don't know why these aren't wildly popular this season! I looked at these for a few months before I decided to try them. They went on sale and I knew it was my moment. Out of the box these were very comfortable. But with a little wriggling I managed to get the footbed out, intact, so I could try a pair of Birkenstock insoles I have from a pair of shoes I love but can't get them to stay on my feet. It's not the wide toe box regular Birkenstock insole, it's more narrow. It is a perfect match! So, yes, if you have a custom orthotic you want to use with them, chances are good that it will work. My Naot footbeds from my Rongos (Koru footbed) work great in them too. But the footbed they come with is pretty darn good. There was a tiny spot where a bunion would rub if I had one, and my little toe rubbed on the top of the toe box for one day. After that, no problems. These might become my summer walking shoes. I'm normally a 9. I ordered the 9. The Birkenstock footbed is a size 40. Fit is perfect.

These shoes met my two rather odd requirements. (1) They fit my wide feet. And I don't mean "my feet are a little on the wide side." I have truly wide feet and difficulty finding shoes that fit. (2) In the warm weather I walk or bike to work. These are comfortable and stay on nicely, so I don't have to pack/carry an additional pair of shoes to get me through the workday. About sizing: sometimes I am a 7W, or 7WW. I bought these in an 8, which is the same size I wear in Keens, and they fit nicely.

These red suede covered toe sandals are so comfy and attractive. I purchase several covered toe sandals when my pedicure is not attractive. Sandals need to be comfortable for the Central California Valley heat, and these shoes certainly are. This pair will go out to lunch, shopping, and any place. When my feel are not happy, I am not happy. The vivid red is perfect with clothing for summer. After wearing navy and black sandals for so long, I want more color and comfort. These are great.

I did not realize that these were nubuck. They also run a big big. I feel like a clown in these, but I am sure that most people will love them. They are a nice color.

These are absolutely cute shoes! I love the blue color and style. The shoes are very comfortable but comfort is highly subjective depending on what you need. In my case, I need a better arch and firmer support. And I have a limited pocket book. So I could not indulge for a pair of shoes that I could only wear occasionally. I normally wear a wide but these only came in B width. I did fine with the B width. I am not sure how they would be after a long day on my feet.

The foot bed and inner leather was incredibly comfortable and the blue color was just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, these run quite wide - far to wide for my rather narrow foot. I am usually fine with a "B"/medium width, but not this time. I wish they came in different widths!

Very cute, and very comnfortable, but much too big, very wide. A wide toe box usually wowrks well for me, but this was all over too big. The outer sole is fairly firm which is what I wanted, and the inner sole is very cushioned and comfy.

I love the style and they seemed nicely padded/comfy. But the heel was so wide I could take my foot out without undoing the velcro. I do have narrow heels. I need the toe box to be wide, and these did have a nice wide toe box. The volume of the shoe was also too high for my slender feet-- did not touch my skin on top.

I wear 8.5 M and have no real problems with my feet. Still, COMFORT is #1 for me! These are wonderful; very comfy from the moment I put them on. Walked around for hours on the first day with no complaints whatsoever. It took me awhile to get used to the style; something about all those thick criss-crossing straps struck me as a little odd when I looked down at my feet, and the base is chunky -- but after wearing them for awhile I'm getting used to the unusual look, and they FEEL SO GOOD! Furthermore, I love the closed toe -- no pedicure concerns. They're a keeper.

I was so excited to get the shoes because I thought that they would definitely work for me. I will custom insoles and I come to conclusion that I need to have shoes that I can always put my insoles. I was easily able to put my insoles in and they were heaven for the bottom of my foot. However the Stitching inside the straps so course and dug into the feet that I returned them. I really wish that companies would find a way to make their shoes better for those wet food sensitivities. These are so expensive and yes I could've worn them With socks, but that defeats the purpose of the summer shoe. If you don't have food sensitivities, these are for you! So disappointed to return them!

These are really cute, but I need the 8 for the width...you were all out by the time I decided on the blue...now I have to send them back and you are out of all 8's, all colors. Too bad for me.

The shoes came beautifully wrapped and arrived the next day after I ordered them. I loved the color and style, however, I found that they could only be adjusted with one strap and it was not tight enough for me. The toe box also was a bit too rigid but the overall comfort was great. I really wanted to keep these shoes but they were not 100% was I wanted. I would recommend them anyway!

I absolutely lovethe Bionica MacLean! I had been looking for sandals with a sling back adjustable strap and when I saw the MacLean I knew that it would be perfect, especially since the ruby red would work perfectly with a ruby red vest and several dresses I had that are that color print. Since I measure a 9½W, but have some foot issues including severe arthritis, I usually wind up in a 10½W or 11M, so when I saw that it was sold out in 10M and 11M everywhere I looked (searching first at Zappos, of course!), I was so disappointed but had decided that I would try to 9½M, but when I returned to your website yesterday to order it there had been one 10M come back in. It came this afternoon, and it is perfect! Thank you, Zappos! Now if the 10M comes back in in denim let me know - it is mine!

Too big for a thin foot. Unless one has a high arch or is a true B or Medium size. It's decent looking.

These are really nice shoes. Unfortunately, I do not have really nice feet. They were too narrow in the front for my bunions and my little toes. They are well made, a great color and a very cushy insole. I desperately wanted them to work. (Keen has let me down.) If you can usually wear a medium, these shoes should work well for you.

I ordered the ruby red and really like the color. I also like the width of the shoe - which feels wider and roomier than most medium widths. These are quite comfortable on my foot. I like that they are both sandal and closed toe.

These are fantastic, well made comfortable supportive shoes. Fit like a glove! Just a bit too casual for my needs this time. But oh so great!

I found these true to size. They have a comfortable foot bed. I have to wear closed toe shoes to work and am on my feet most of the day. They really work for me. No rubbing or sore spots. I have a medium arch and need medium to strong support. A nice addition for my Spring/Summer shoes.
