I finally wore out my 1460 black leather DM's last winter (15 years of wearing about 1 time a week). I am now diabetic, so I wanted some that would be easier to wear in. I wore these around the house over the weekend, and I feel like I can wear them to work now (I don't walk around too much). Fantastic and they look awesome. I did buy a size down (I m usually a US women's 10, I bought a US Women's 9) and they fit perfectly with sock and the DM insoles.

These are excellent boots. The sizing is fairly standard for boots - go one size smaller than you wear in regular tennis shoes. If you are a size ten, buy a size nine, etc. There are no surprises regarding the fit. The softer leather makes the boots substantially easier to break in than Dr. Marten's typical "smooth" leather. The finish is matte with visible grain, in contrast to the "Smooth" leather which is very shiny with no visible grain. I prefer this leather, because as it breaks in it does not get the weird folds and creases that the smooth leather does. These boots are labeled as having been made in Vietnam, but there are no issues with the construction or fit, and there are no loose ends in the stitching, all of which are problems typical of docs that are made in China. Shipping was 1 day free shipping as provided by the iPhone app. They arrived the day after I ordered them. Packaging was an issue - they arrived in an unmarked box and were not laced. There was a pair of generic black cotton laces that seemed to have been tossed into the box as an afterthought. The laces were not the laces you would receive if you ordered the boots directly from Dr. Marten's website. They were too short by about 30cm/12in, and thus I can't fully lace the boots with the laces they came with. Zappos customer support couldn't provide me with correctly sized laces, but did offer to ship me entirely new boots, but I declined that offer. Having to go out and buy correctly sized laces is for me worth the free 1 day shipping, and there weren't any other problems with my order. Overall I'm still very satisfied and would repeat the experience.

Selection for my size was there, even close to Christmas. Shipping was free and I had my boots in 2 days. Easy I'll be back.

My boyfriend got these and he absolutely loves them. Super soft leather. Great look, and super comfy. He said they did fee a smidge wide, but then again he has very narrow feet.

Fantastic soft leather, definitely my favorite of the Doc options. What can you say about 1460s? They are great boots that last a long time and are comfortable to wear on the same insoles for years. These are a little different than the norm with the more luxurious leather in a proper black. I highly recommend getting these on $50-off sale because they are excellent. Absolutely would buy again.

I bought these for my son for Christmas. He is a size 12 and felt the 12's are true to size. He has basically not taken them off since he put them on and has had no discomfort. The leather is softer than some other Docs. He loves them. I also bought him another pair of waterproof boots from another brand. He loves them, but the Docs are what he has chosen to wear.

These boots are exactly what I wanted. Reintroducing myself to Dr. Marten's boots after more than 15 years is very different. I had a pair of ankle brown boots in probably 8th grade... These boots are comfortable, soft, and look very stylish with dark cuffs jeans. They seem well made and the price was pretty perfect. I wish they were still make in the UK, these are made in Vietnam I believe. Highly recommended if you want the perfect mix of casual and dressed up.

I still love these Doc Martens even after wearing them at work for a few days. I almost have them broken in fully, but I'm thinking about getting insoles for them since I'm constantly on my feet.

Got these Doc Martins for my husband who needs a lug sole for winter snow. They look fantastic and feel so good.

Received the day after ordering! I purchased these as a gift and ordered a 9 as there is no 9.5 and they fit perfectly.

In terms of sizing, I wish, like many, that Docs came in half sizes. However, as someone who wears a true women's US 9.5 (leaning towards a 10), the size 9 (US) fit PERFECTLY. So, I'd safely say these fit like a 9.5 (with room) more than a regular 9. No way could I wear a 9. They are super soft leather and same great signature Doc style.

I bought these in Carpathian and the leather is gorgeous and soft. I've just worn them around the house so far so I can't really say how comfortable they'll be, but for doc's they seem pretty easy to break in. I wore dr martens back in the 90's and am happy to see they're the same as I remember! One thing I noticed that was pretty uncomfortable was on the insole where the leather ends and the "fabric" begins is not smooth at at all and I anticipate it'll rub quite painfully if I decide to keep these. I'm still on the fence as they seem a bit high (I would've preferred a 6-eye style). Zappos service is outstanding, as usual! Overall, I would recommend anyone who's looking at these to give them a try.

I normally wear size 9 for my casual shoes (Adidas Stan Smith) and 8.5 for dress shoes (AE Park Avenue) and the size 9US/8UK for this boot with the Dr. Martens Comfort Insole fits me perfectly. With the insole, this boot is very comfortable and has more heel support and still remain light. The tan color of this boot is also very versatile that you can wear them with jeans and chinos of different colors. The only knock would be the leather used for this boot, which are nice but quite thin when compared to my Red Wing boots.

The leather is nice and soft. I like the matte finish it has. Pretty much zero arch support though and the inside footbed is not removable like some of the other docs. A foam insert that we bought separately helped make it more comfortable. This particular boot style is made in China.

I use to wear these all the time as a bartender. I had a pair about 10 years ago and they where great. I know they take some time to break in and I have worn them on and off a few hours at a time but they still aren’t comfortable. I have tried inserts but still not right. They run big so I ordered a size smaller.
