First: Buy this shoe 1 size smaller than you usually would. Second: I got the shoe finally in my right size but when I walked in it my foot would slip backwards over the back of the heel. It was absolutely the right size, any smaller and my foot wouldnt slip, it'd just be too big for the shoe. I feel that the strap that goes behind your heel isnt short enough to keep your foot actually in the sole, at least not mine. I read that you are supposed to cross your straps in the front so that this doesnt happen, but for me it did anyway and didnt make a difference. Its really a shame because otherwise this shoe is super comfortable & flattering and I desperately wish I could keep it.

I got the red ones! So cute! These shoes run big. I am usually a size 8 but a size 7 fit much better than the size 8. Unfortunately the shoe is heavy and the only thing that really keeps these shoes glued to your feet is the ankle straps. The back strap is not sturdy one bit, it's poor quality and doesn't hold my foot in place. I will be returning them.

These are great shoes! My daughter is a Doc Marten fan and loves them! True to size, very soft and comfortable and they look great on her!! She loves them!!!

I'm grateful for the previous reviews, especially regarding sizing. I own two other pairs of Dr. Martens, one boot and one closed shoe. I wear size 7 in those and needed a 6 in this sandal. I'm generally size 7.5. I wear European size 38, and this is marked 37, so yes, a full size down from your normal Dr. Martens size. The leather is soft, the foot bed is comfortably padded and the soles are not as heavy as what is typical for Doc Martens. I like that the laces make the sandals fully adjustable. They just look cool!

I love these shoes, along with all doc martens. The quality is good and they look very cool on. In my Doc Martens boots, I order size 8's but I find that for doc martens sandals I need to order 2 full sizes down. I got a size 6 in women's for this sandal and they fit perfectly! Takes some effort learning how to tie them just right but I get endless compliments on them!

They're great, they look awesome and go with everything. Great fit and so so comfortable. Much lighter than any other dr martens sandals I've ever had or tried on. we'll see how well the laces hold up, either way they'll be easy to replace. The sizing was way off for me, I usually wear a US 7.5, 7 in dr martens 1460, and I wound up with a 6 in these.

Love them! Make sure you do a cross before wrapping your ankle and it should feel tighter in the heel. So comfortable right out of the box. I wear a 9 in most shoes, but like all my other Docs, an 8 fit me great.

Please note that the sizes are UK not US. They run a little large when you do the conversion as well. I normally wear a 10 in US women's but because these run a little large I wear a UK 7 instead of a UK 8. Having said all that, these are incredibly comfortable! I find if I make a single knot at the top of the lacing then wrap loosely around my ankles and tie again, I get a secure fit in the heel without strangling my ankles. Really comfortable and cute!

These shoes are adorable but run 1.5 to 2 sizes big. Super comfortable, just size down tot get the right fit.

Everyone MUST order a whole size down! I did not listen to the previous comments and I had to go through the exchange process. The shoes are very comfortable, however I feel that the leather that hits my pinky toe will take a while to break in. My toe rubs the wrong way against the leather and I am anticipating blisters, BUT they are very comfortable despite this. They stay well on my foot and I love how they look.

Really cute on but not real supportive. The lace tightness determine the support.

I had great hopes for this unique, cool pair of Doc's. I even ignored the review where the reviewer said they wouldn't "stay on" her feet, thinking it was user error. Well, she's absolutely right. Don't buy these! I laced them up, I even tightened them quite a bit, I manipulated the back leather on the heel...to no avail. The back does not stay up no matter what you do. It might seem fine since there's so much sandal in the front, but oddly it doesn't work. You will hobble around trying desperately to keep the sandal on your foot, and it makes it impossible to walk. These will be returned. It's like nobody tested this design and they just started producing it. what a shame. A sturdier leather and some kind of framework on the back and it would be an awesome sandal. Plus, I am a huge size 10, and had to return the 10 and get a 9. Totally sized wrong. Sad.
