Finally invested in a good running shoe when a family member wanted to start running. They were having knee pain with cheap shoes and these completely fixed the knee pain issue. Very comfortable and stylish. Its a light shoe but doesn't have the minimalist shoe feel. Happy with the purchase.

Love the wider width and the lightness of the shoe. Trendy color combo is cute, too.

This is an excellent pair of shoes! I ordered it based on the 5 star reviews and all the details the previous reviewers put in. I have small (women size 5), wide feet, my husband call them "rice paddy feet". So New Balance 5W works really well for me. But finding shoes in stores has become more and more difficult, if not totally impossible. Most stores don't carry size 5. If they do, the selection is limited. A sales woman in a shoe store told me last year that a women's size 5 is the same as kid's size 3. So I bought a pair of New Balance kid's size 3W, and wore it all year long. But I started to have pain issues with my feet this year. The kid's shoes don't seem to hold as long as women's shoes I had in the past. Anyway, long story short, after ordering 4 pairs of New Balance kids size 3 from Zappos and none of them seemed to fit well, I read the reviews of this shoe and ordered 5W and 5.5W. I received them yesterday. Once I put them on, they felt right. Light weight, well built, great cushion and support, very comfortable. As many people suggested, this shoe runs slightly small. So I am keeping 5.5W. Very happy. Thanks to Zappos for making shoe hunting so much easier and guilt free with free return. A good lesson for me is that women's shoes are built differently from kid's shoes. They are better constructed for adults with more cushion and support. I got the purple color. I usually don't wear flashy colors, but I am liking the purple. It is vibrant and pretty.

I was looking for a soft insole for my arthritic feet. These shoes are super cushioned and felt great the first time I put them on. I use them for brisk walking 3+ miles a day. Ordered wide because of mu bunion. No problem with the heel slipping off.

I haven't opened a new box of shoes, put them on, and exclaimed how comfortable they are in a room by myself... Ever! They have so much cushioning and are firm in all the right places with great support for the moderate over pronator. I've never run (or walked) over brick and not felt it! I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant and was in serious need of a newer, cushier, sturdier, and larger pair of sneakers. I'm glad I found these!

These shoes provide sturdy support and stability for my very flat feet with zero arches. My custom orthotics easily fit these shoes. In the beginning my no-show socks would be pulled under my heel, but that has stopped after I have worn them for a week and broken them in a bit. It is nice to have stylish shoes to wear for errands instead of clunky medical-looking Drews which I only wear inside my own home.

These shoes felt so comfortable on the first day I wore them that I didn't even think about it or remember I was wearing new sneakers. They are nicely wide so don't hurt or squeeze my bunion and the arch support is good, plus good padding under the heel. I use these only for casual walking so can't say how they would be for workouts, Zumba, etc. I did buy them for a vacation where I expect to be walking and standing a lot every day and I think they'll be great!

I have duck feet, hard to find a shoe with a deep enough toe box. A pair of the Vazee Prism is comfortable and flexible for fast walks. Wish New Balance made these in Navy, but the black goes with a lot as well.

I have been a long time Zappos customer and only found myself running to write a review (no pun intended!) a few times and this is one of those times. I have one sneaker on and the other one is still in the box. This sneaker is for you if you have a wide foot and want stability which is what I am constantly searching for in a sneaker along with good looking colors and this fits the bill--black with the silver N and a few dots of pink. Great sneaker all around and currently I am in Brooks Glycerin if that helps readers and i scored their hot pink ones they had last year

I think I'm going to like this shoe a lot. It seems like there is a lot of cushioning under the foot and it is supposed to be designed for overpronation. The pink color is beautiful. It is a tad brighter than I would like but since I've been asking for New Balance to give us some colors other than white, brown, black, and the occasional gray--I can't complain. It is bright and it is pretty. The purple and green is nice too. I do wish there was a pretty combination with blue in it (and not white or grey please!). I would buy another color scheme in a minute if it was offered. I did try both my usual 8 and an 8 1/2. The 8 1/2 was needed this time. I would say it is a little bit narrower in the toe box than usual. In order to get the width, I had to go longer because my heel is definitely too narrow for a wide. I can't really comment on the arch support because I use a custom orthotic. I assume it's average.

I really like this you but it was a little bit narrow. And seemed a little bit on the short side. Otherwise I would've been happy to keep them seemed very well-made. I do have a difficult time finding the correct shoe. So it was more than likely my foot not the shoe.

Cute shoe, but they seemed small for a 9 1/2, the wide didn't feel wide either.

Not the best fit, compared to Brooks. Right off the bat, the insole was loose and didn't fit right. No problem, since I run with my PowerStep insoles anyway, so in the trash it went. The insoles fit nicely, and I have ample space in the toe box. The heel however is a different story. Compared to Brooks this shoe does not hug my heel and I have to tie the laces extra tight to feel a secure fit for the many miles I run. There is also a bit of bunching in the front of the shoe because of the way I have to tighten the laces. I read some negative reviews about the shoe coming apart too soon, but after about 50 miles I've not seen any wear & tear. Just too bad they don't fit like a glove.

Everything is perfect for my mild to moderate overpronated feet except that the curvy topline cuts my ankle on the out side. I wish these shoes work for me because they are impressively light and flexible. However, for the topline I have to return them.

This is a good looking shoe, is comfortable and has good support. I marked it 4 stars because the sizing if off. I normally wear a size 10 shoe and always order my sports sneakers in a 10-1/2. So that's what I ordered. They weren't long enough so sent them back and got an 11. The 11 wasn't much bigger.

I am pleased with these shoes. I actually bought two pair. I wear a 5.5 which is almost impossible to find in stores so ordering is really my only option. I have narrow heels but narrow width shoes won't fit the rest of my foot. So they're a little loose in the heel but that's really not the fault of the shoe. The option of a shoelace loop to tighten around heel has also been helpful for that problem. The arch support is not quite enough for me but I have special inserts which I use and they fit well in the shoe. I walk around a large hospital for my job every day and work out in the gym doing cardio, strengthening and endurance training and they have worked well for all of these activities. I have always been pleased w/ New Balance products.

Good things about these shoes: I do step aerobics and find that they have a lot of room at the toe and ball of foot, which is great for toes not getting numb. They look good and the heel has great padding. Not so great things: I'm concerned that there is not quite enough padding/support under the ball of the foot, which means that they were wear out faster based on the high use of that area in step, and I will need new shoes faster.

Good running shoe for me. I have used New Balance for many years and this one is among the better. I like the heel strike and construction. They have the flat/stretch shoe strings which stay tied. I average five miles a day, and alternate my shoes each day, these seem adequate for that type of schedule. Comfortable and offers average support.

This is a pretty good shoe. The cupped heel back is great for keeping your foot from slipping!! The toe box was nice a roomy for my wide feet. Unfortunately the arch and heel base were super narrow. I had to return them and continue my search for good running shoes.

This shoe seemed too big and too wide. My foot felt like it slid forward and there wasn't much padding in the toe area.
