Really liked the fit. Good support and the shoe was true to the (medium) width. I wear a 10 1/2 normally and these felt a half size larger which is how they were listed (as an 11). This turned out to be OK with me because there wasn't any heel slip. The toe box was generous and the shoe felt broken in from the get go. My only comment was that they sound clanky when you walk...This will probably diminish with breaking in. All and all, I recommend the shoe.

My son goes to an all boys school, and black loafers are mandated by he school. Dr. Marten’s are the way to go, A+ quality, fit, and they are Doc Marten’s they are stylish and the black leather is quality. You can’t go wrong with Doc Marten’s.

This shoe was a little long and was sloppy in the heel. They will be going back.

i can spend up to 8 hours a day on my feet in a lab setting. so far i haven’t had significant foot fatigue or soreness in these shoes, only minor towards the end of the day if any at all. i have had them about a month.

Well I went on what everyone else was saying with the shoe sizing being too big. This is NOT the case. I wear a 9.5 US, so I got the UK 8. I couldn’t even get it on my foot. But the wonderful people at Zappos are sending me a new pair and hopefully they fit better. The look of the shoe was nice, and the tread was decent. Made of a hard composite material. I’ll rewrite a review in a few months to see how they hold up. I’m a chef and it’ll get some good wear and tear.

This is a great looking shoe. Unfortunately we were disappointed that the sizing is off. Normally my husband wears an average size 10 with a slightly wide toe box for his wide feet. He also thought that this would be a great shoe for walking. This shoe has a large toe box which fit his first criteria, but it's length is half a size too large in 10 for it to work for his foot which is really pretty unusual. So we tried a 9 and it is way too small. Since this shoe is not made in half sizes we were disappointed. Zappos has a great return policy no complaints, but, buyer beware in regard to trying this shoe. We have never had this issue with Doc Marten before. My husband has had at least 5 pair over the years. The sizing is off and appears to be a half size too large. If you are a half size it's perfect for your foot. Just size down a half size to the smallest whole size! Otherwise this shoe may not work for you. It's too bad as it looks like a well made, comfortable solid leather shoe like most Doc Marten's.

I would love to give these shoes a minimum of four stars. If only they didn't absorb water, THROUGH the soles, on my FIRST day of wearing them. I tend bar 40+hours per week in a place where the floors are almost always wet. So, this is entirely unacceptable. Shoes for crews and Emeril have been slightly better in this regard (at about half the price). I suppose I'll be working in chef's clogs from now.
