I read the reviews to see if I was the only one who noticed the "swooshing" sound. It is quite evident and I must say it got a good bit of attention walking down a tiled hall when I wore them for the first time to church! I love the shoe - very stylish and so very comfortable so I am keeping it. But my question is this: Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I took mine to a reputable shoe shop and the gentleman said in all his years in business he had never heard that in a shoe. Any suggestions?

I have worn Born shoes and they are always very comfortable shoes; I love the fact that they are leather. I found the foot bed quite cushiony, I would say very user-friendly. I work retail and there is nothing worse than wearing shoes that are uncomfortable. The only concern would be the strap because they're leather has stretched so, I wear them at the last hole. Also, you can wear them with a dress or pants a total win-win!!! Thank you, Zappos! Nivia

Gorgeous and would be so comfortable if they weren't so wide. I'm bummed that I have to return them.

I wrote a review in April saying how much I liked these sandals, except for the 'woosh' sound when I walk. I have been wearing these shoes and am still madly in love with them, (and the 'woosh' has gotten quieter) but I was crushed today to find that the underside of the sole split across the ball of my foot on BOTH sandals. I don't know when it happened and I can still walk in them (for now). Zappos customer service was great and is refunding me since they were defective and I've re-ordered them again, because I really do still love them. I'm knocking the overall rating to a 4 star because of this issue. Otherwise they'd still be a 5 star.

Excellent delivery Zappos! I ordered these sandals on 7/30/2017 and they arrived on 8/1/2017. First impression, incredibly comfortable, good heel height, nicely padded footbed. Born is know for quality! However, these sandals runs small. This was a big disappointment for me. I'm sending them back for a larger size. I wear a size 10M in shoes, so I'm guessing a size 11M will fit? I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I purchased these in 2 colors. . . Sorry, Zappos, but you didn't have the the colors I wanted so I had to purchase them elsewhere. I have high arches, so I wish they had a little more arch support. Aside from that, they are quite comfortable and beautiful with very soft leather. After standing in them for several hours, my feet and back were still happy!

I really wanted to like this shoe! It was comfortable to walk in. The leather was a great quality and the height was fine. But it looked clunky and grannie-like on my foot. I am a grannie (62) but it is still not the look I was going for!

Love these shoes! Super comfortable from the first time I put them on. The only reason that they don't get 5 stars is because each time I take a step they make a noise like air swooshing out of a balloon. It's not very loud but still bothers me a bit. However fit and style are great so I'll keep them.

Amazingly comfortable shoes! From the first time you wear them, they feel like slippers. I have a wide foot - C/D, and unfortunately these were too wide for me, so my toes slipped forward over the end of the shoe. I'm so disappointed. I really wish they would have worked! These are a great choice if you have a wide foot.

A good looking shoe, simple, well made. feels a little sloppy due to design of ankle strap your heel really moves around. The shoe feels a little big and makes a swish sound with each step. I'm being really picky tho. If I felt able to spend this kind of money on a sandal, I'd get them in an 8.5. They'll probably wear well.

These are really nice looking, and super comfortable sandals. I wanted something professional-looking for work. However, the sandal, itself, fits rather loosely. I had read the reviews, in advance, and asked if there were narrow sizes available (there were not). I wanted to try them, anyways, since I like the style... Once I received them, I wanted to keep them, since I like how they look and how they feel... So, I solved the problem by having my local shoe repair person put 2 more holes in the strap for the buckle, and now they fit, perfectly! Who knew that could work?

I was excited to order and receive these sandals; however, once on, they are too big in the width. My foot was slipping all around in them, and I had to put the strap on the tightest hole, which doesn't bode well for natural leather stretch. I have a couple of other Born pairs of sandals that I love, although one has a problem with the strap not staying strapped. The comfort is unparalleled but unfortunately the strap and width problems are too big to ignore. These will go back. Too bad.

Good looking shoe. Very comfortable footbed; however, it's too narrow across the toes which made it feel a half size smaller. I had to return them.

Very tight across the arch and made a farting sound when walking (air coming from the cushy insole). I would have returned for a larger size, but the noise was a deal breaker.

Really liked the picture on screen, but when wearing it, the v that is created at the toe area went too far back making my toes look really long; exposed the entire length and a little behind my middle 3 toes (I am a size 10, perhaps it isn't as noticeable in the smaller sizes?) Will be returning. They do seem well made and were comfortable.

The leather is sort of matte, dusty looking and the fake wood grain of the heel didn't appeal to me. I went with a similar Dansko sandal instead.

This is a very comfortable shoe with lots of cushion. I have painful feet so comfort is very important. However, I felt the shoe lacked some style but more important, I dislike what Born has done with the sole of their shoes: They are plastic instead of rubber, so when you walk they make a cheap, loud clacking sound. I just couldn't get past it. The noise is annoying and makes me cringe at every step. I have other Born shows with rubber soles and I love those. These, unfotunately, are going back.

Excellent arch support, but going back. Didn't like the noise the shoe made. Also, didn't like that I slid around on my hard wood floors. Why would anyone make a shoe that's slick on the bottom?

Very large width wise. Very comfortable and lightweight, but very very wide on foot and strap on tightest setting still slides off. Zappos customer service was awesome!

Pretty show and comfortable. Unfortunately, this pair came with scuff marks and a torn strap. Also didn't care of the squishy insole you get with each step.

This shoes are so very cute and I really wanted to keep them. They are just too wide and my toes were sliding off the end. Will be returning.
