Wore on a cold sunny day in about 1 degeee weather and my feed stayed warm!

Keeps my feet warm and dry during long hours at work! So love my work socks that I have also ordered casual and dress socks to keep my feet happy campers, especially during the winter months. Have convinced my husband and parents to try Smartwool too. All rave reviews!

I have used these socks for fishing off the coast of Valdez to everyday wear in negative 40 degree weather in Alaska. I am never without a pair of these socks just in case I have an emergency

To try minimize my heel pain i buy the extra heavy socks . It really helps minimize my pain at the end of the day. i have been wearing Smartwool for over 10 years! I am a very satisfied repeat customer. I even got my folks hooked on these great socks.

These socks are AMAZING! I have poor circulation due to Raynaud's disease and my feet especially are always terribly cold which causes a decent amount of pain. These socks are the only pair that truly combat the cold during Maine winters. I was so impressed with them last season I ordered myself another pair. They are VERY thick, which is great, but I can't fit them inside all of my shoes so that's a bummer. I mean it is expected they would be thick and I have no problem with it, in a dream world I would wear them everyday in the winter in all my shoes!

Just purchased a pair for my mother. She likes to wear them around the house on chilly mornings as well as outdoors in the winter. Breathable & super warm, highly recommend this product!

Great for cold, wet weather

Today I was outside temp. is 25, was outside for about 40 minutes and had a total of 3 pairs of socks on. All smartwool products first was a lighter pair followed by a heavier pair and finally the extra heavy mountaineering pair. My feet were still very cold. Guess there is no hope for me to keep my feet warm. I also wore snowmobile boots. Have to say they are a lot better than another kind I have tried.

I purchased these to wear when we are out 4 wheeling or ice fishing in the winter. They keep my feet very warm. Also wear when my feet are cold then can be sort of used as slipper socks to keep feet warm and toasty. I have also purchased for my Mom.

Very thick socks but super comfy. Mainly just wear them around the house

Great warmth and thickness/padding. Only knock is they tend to scrunch down and don't stay up your calf if wearing on their own.

Just took these out to the snowy peak wilderness in Northern California. Temps got to 20 degrees and my boots were falling apart. My feet were still cold at night but much warmer than they normally would be. I like wearing them at home too because they're so comfortable. I wear them like slippers almost.

These socks met my expectations and are proving useful. Of course, warmth is paramount in the winter and these are warm.

I recently ordered these socks to wear with hiking boots that were a bit too large, hoping that the thicker sock would make the boot fit better......unfortunately they didn’t help! Actually the boot slipped worse with these socks on! These socks are HUGE! I ordered the ladies Large because according to the size chart that was what size I needed, I wear anywhere from a 10 to an 11 depending on the style of shoes! These are so large I think my husband who wears a 13 could have worn these socks! They are super thick and I think if they fit correctly they would be warm and toasty, but just didn’t work for me. Also when I opened the package one of the socks had a large pull in the material! If they had fit and worked for my situation I probably would have kept them anyway, but for the price of these socks I really don’t want them arriving brand new with a large pull that may eventually rip! Sadly I have to return these. Thank you ZAppos for having an awesome return policy!

I bought these in the same order as similar heavy and medium weight socks to replace old pairs that have lasted since 2002. I was so excited about the pink and purple soles; finally some girly hiking socks for my collection. To me, these didn't feel appreciably thicker than the heavy weight socks, which was fine. However, the sock was rather loose around my leg which made it feel less warm than the heavy weight socks. These might be very comfortable for someone with circulation issues or wider calves; the cuff isn't as constricting as the other Smart Wool socks I've tried.

Purchased as a Christmas gift. Product came very quickly.

So disappointing to find out after only two washings that these already have a hole. Totally not what I expected or have experienced with any of my other Smartwool socks.
