I had to exchange these for a bigger size. I originally ordered a size 39 and had to size up to a 40 because my toes were touching the top. I’m still breaking these shoes in. They are still stiff but not uncomfortable. I have really flat feet so the arch in these shoes are quite noticeable when I first put them on then after awhile I don’t notice it. Trying to break these shoes on before the summer here in Wisconsin so I’ve only worn them around the house. I love how light they are on my feet.

This is my favorite style of Birkenstocks, they are so comfy and adorable!

I don't usually post comments, but I think this would be helpful to people: I normally wear a size 10 in shoes (I am female). This translates into a 41 in Birkenstocks, but that size is always way too big for me. I have worn the Mayari style for years, and Size 39 is the right fit in that style. I bought a Size 40 in the Salina, and they fit perfectly.

Classic Birkenstock fit. Happy with the narrow width so there's no need to adjust the buckles. Zappos never disappoints in service and selection!

This is my third pair of Birkenstock sandals (each a different colorer style) and as usual, they are VERY comfortable and stylish. I have worn these for days of walking through many areas of Europe and me feet feel great with little to no soreness, even though I've struggled with Plantar Fasciitis. I wear them everyday and even to work or to walk the dogs.

These are my first pair of Birks! Great for my wide foot. The crossstrap makes my foot look more narrow.

I love the Salina! I am a size 8, regular width. I first bought the size 39s. As soon as I slid them on it was heavenly but they were HUGE. I returned them and sized down to a 38. I love love love love them.

Birkenstocks are the best shoes for my feet. The support is fantastic and I feel that they even relax my legs. This style shoe can be worn with a skirt or sundress. They are very flattering and the size is perfect.

First, thank you Zappos! I normally wear a size 8 and thanks to Zappos I tried both 38 and 39 in regular and narrow. I ended up keeping the 38 regular. The 39 regular was too big and the length in the narrow was okay, but the 38 regular fit perfectly. I really like the style of these and they keep my foot in place. I have a couple of different pairs of birks and these are my favorite only the soft footbed of the Arizona are the most comfortable. I think these will take longer for me to break in. If these had the soft footbed and they would be perfect.

Very comfortable and more stylish than the Arizona.

I've been wearing Birks for 30 years and have had dozens of pairs. Love them all. I will say that the ones I've purchased in the last several years have all had the soft footbed until these, and I didn't realize how much that mattered until I started wearing these and there was more of a break in period that I expected. No break in needed with the upper, just a stiffer soul than I had gotten used to. I don't regret these at all--I wear them all the time and love them. But in the future if I have the choice between the soft footbed and not, I'll be choosing the soft footbed.

I have never had Birk's before, but I am always a 39 and these are too big for me. Love them, just getting a smaller size. I am normally an 8.5 women's
