I've been wearing Wave Prophecy since the first edition was out many years ago. I've always loved everything about the shoe...comfort, fit, support, look...everything. I'm a fitness professional so it's very important what I put on my feet. Wave Prophecy has done me right for so many years! Until the 5 came out. Totally different than the previous editions. The shoe is very stiff and the heel pushes your foot forward so that the shoe feels small (I already go up 1/2 a size from my regular shoe size). I'm in the process of sending them back and had to go to another site to order the 4's (unfortunately, since I LOVE Zappos). Thinking I'm going to have to go back to Asics after I wear through the 4's.

I was a little hesitant to buy these because of the price, but I'm so glad I did. I LOVE them. The color, the fit, the cushion, everything. I have bad knees and need a little extra cushion, I had always worn Asics Nimbus before, but I like these better. I usually go a half size up for running shoes because I like a little extra toe room, but I went a full size up for these, based on reviews, and was glad that I did.

I love this shoe for it's soft, long lasting cushioning. If you walk, run or are on your feet for long days it's one to consider. The colors are a little out there but the comfort makes up for it.

I do very high impact dance aerobics and this shoe was perfect. Unlike the Nike Shox the cushioning is felt in the ball as much as the heel. The last a long time and definitely help prevent shin splints. The run small and are a little tough to break in at the beginning. Definitely order up a size.

Felt good, very nice looking, great support. I returned only because it looked like a mud trap in the sole, visible in the sole. I live in the country so that is an issue. They'd be great for town though.

I agree with the other reviewers in that the Wave Prophecy 5 has been a disappointment compared to earlier iterations (WP 2, in particular). However, this is my third pair ordered in an attempt to find the fit, pronation and arch support I wasn't ready to give up on with the Mizuno brand and. . . SCORE! Maybe there is some inconsistency in manufacturing, but with this particular pair, third time is definitely the charm!

Man, do these run small! My feet fell asleep while I was testing them out, which has never happened before with a sneaker in my size. I think, though that the seismoditis in my toes that I'm trying to take care of felt a bit better from the fancy sole. I'll try again in a different size when they're back in stock...

I have plantar fasciitis and a heel spur in my left foot and I've been various running shoes for months trying to find something cushy that doesn't bother my foot. I wasn't crazy about the price of these shoes but figured if they fit well and were comfortable, it would be worth it. I normally wear a 8.5 - 9 depending on the shoe, a 9 in running shoes. The 9 in this shoe felt very tight and the sole felt very hard. I'm just getting into running so I'm not expert at all, but there was hardly any cushiness I could feel in these shoes. My husband wants me to try the Wave Prophecy 4 since some reviewers liked it better but I'm having a hard time finding my size. I need cushiness in the heel and these are not going to work for me. The blue is pretty though and they seem well made. I would definitely try Mizuno in another style.

I've been so looking forward to get them. I've ordered same size as my Prophecy 2, which I adore, but it feels the whole size smaller and very narrow even for my quite narrow feet. Very uncomfortable, I am very disappointed!
