So thanks to Zappos wonderful service I quickly received a second pair of this style. The silver first took me aback (I had originally tried this in black in my usual size 38) but it looked much better on than in the box. Over the years Ecco shoes have either worked or not depending upon the style. I have owned several over the years and even 2 pairs of the same style (buckled hightops from 2 years ago). Sandals seem to be more problematic than shoes. I was looking for this more encased style because I pronate and have had plantar issues. I always wear a 38 in Ecco's though except for this one! Go figure. So the 38 was too big all over and this as a 37 was fine so I think you need to order 1 size down. It was still too generous around the top of my foot although the footbed was correct now in the smaller size and was very comfy as usual for Ecco but would not hold my pronating feet stable. I could not get the adjustable strap narrow enough for that part of my feet to hold the sandal well so this goes back unfortunately.

These sandals are so comfortable. I thought I was taking a risk because of the straps and I thought they would be stiff but that was not the case? Comfortable right out of the box. Every wear they are even more comfortable.

Love it. Great fitting sandal for a wider foot. I have problem feet, and these sandals are perfect, providing support, cushion and room for the bunion. My husband thinks they are attractive, an awesome bonus since most shoes I can wear are decidedly unattractive.

My feet are on the wider side with moderate to high arches. These sandals are gorgeous and extremely comfortable, and will work well for both weekends/evenings and as business casual office wear. They do run a full size large. I am usually a true size 37 but had to exchange for the 36, which fits perfectly.

Having wide feet, I cannot always wear Ecco shoes, but when they fit they are fantastic. These are in the fantastic category, with a footbed that accommodate my wide (you know, foot shaped) toes and a squishy comfortable sole. The Velcro strap is not the height of fashion, but sometimes it is a pain to have to attach a belt strap, so these will be great for travel. The white color is not my usual at all, but the black insole looked cool enough for me to try something different. I do not think that the top piece will cause a blister (it has no after a day of wear), but if so, attaching some adhesive moleskin will fix that.

I'll be wearing these everyday this summer. The perfect fit, style, and feel. VERY comfortable and pretty much goes with everything. ECCO is a great brand, definitely worth the money.

After reading the reviews I ordered a full size smaller than usual. I was hesitant but the sandals fit perfectly. The only improvement would be a leather insole.

Overall I would have given this sandal high ratings--obviously I like the "gladiator" look for its support of my pronating feet but I think it will be quite comfortable overall once I size down. Surprising but Ecco styles really are inconsistent but once they work, they are great shoes! I have ordered a size down but in silver instead of black (which in the "real" looked quite "heavy"). I think the footbed promises the usual Ecco moderate arch support. Stay tuned. Thank goodness for Zappos!

Too long and also made for a wide foot. I almost run out of Velcro when I fasten the straps as I want to pull it tighter than was intended.

Cute. I was looking for this style, but too big for my feet. I'm a hard fit so worth trying.

This shoe runs about 2 sizes larger and normal. Would have kept once I finally got the right size, but the piece right above my toes was obviously going to raise a blister in short order.

While these are great looking, there are a few issues. 1) They squeak. The footbed is synthetic so your feet will sweat and the top of the middle piece hits the ankle and might dig in depending on your feet. Also there is no arch support.
