Absolutely THE best! I just got these for our trip to Kauai - we hiked extremely difficult trails that were rocky, muddy, wet and steep.We crossed a few creeks, too. These shoes did not slip. they are lightweight, and not masculine looking. They were awesome.

Picked these up for hiking and goruck (military style) challenges. I was looking for something that would be supportive under weight (carrying heavy loads and packs) but would also drain out and dry quickly to avoid destroying my feet with blisters. So far I've only hiked in them and they performed incredibly well on very rocky terrain and steep climbs in the White Mountains. The sole is strong and didn't give away on sharp rocks and uneven ground. Felt like a hiking boot sole. The upper is breathable and very comfortable. Would not recommend using on a wet and muddy trail as they let the water right in (by design and why I bought them, but if you want water resistance look elsewhere) but my socks dried out fairly quickly after getting wet (good breathability). This is my first foray into Salomon's but I am very happy with them. Light, supportive, comfy, and look good on my feet.

Good looking shoe with excellent fit & arch support. Feels light but my only caveat is the tongue is not contoured so that it cuts and presses into the top of my foot.So I decided to return it.

I have a different pair of Salomon hiking shoes that I love, so I ordered this pair thinking that there would be a similar fit and comfort level. This version of the Salomon hiker is no where near what I was expecting. From not being able to really tighten the shoe to having my heel slip up and my socks slip off, this version of the hiker was all around uncomfortable. Therefore I am returning them.

I started wearing this shoe in 2007 and it is a staple in my closet. When one pair gets run down at the heels, I order another pair. The are stable for hiking trails and for every day. I highly recommend them to others.

Great shoes. I hiked in Arches National Park and the soles stuck to the rocks so could get around easier without falling or sliding. They fit well, breathe well and I will probably buy another pair, just in case.

Cute shoe but I had to send it back. It came up too high and rubbed on the front of my ankle.

Bought these for walking the dog once it gets warmer out. They're lightweight and true to size. I have the Ellipse GTX which are comfortable but get very hot in spring and summer. Hoping that these stay cooler.
