Bought these for a Spartan race even though they aren't made for it. Definitely don't keep the water out but the width and support are amazing and the wide toe box and narrow heal keep you from ramming your toes but stabilizing on insecure trails. I've gone through 6 races in them and I wear them running regularly and I have had them for 3 years and they're barely wearing down. Now I'm stuck trying to decide between buying a running shoes designed for ocr but that has a narrower toe box or just get another one of these because they're THAT awesome. Not to mention, I've sprained my ankles several times and these guys are great on support for weak ankles. Salomon, amazing shoe, great job! All I ask is that maybe you make a racw-worthy (ie a bit more tread and maybe gtx) version of these for the ultimate shoe!

I would buy these shoes again in a heartbeat! I've taken them hiking multiple times on different types of trails and they have yet to disappoint me. They have great grip and a great fit. They're comfortable and easy to put on with the sinch laces. I've worn these around town too and they're just as comfortable on pavement. I would say they fit true to size. The toe is very roomy which deceived me into buying a half size down but realized this would be a bit small for comfort.

Even though I love all shoes, I have a hard time not reaching for these in the morning. Extreme comfort right from the start. And I'm getting used to the unexpected colors!

I've been searching for a pair of shoes that I can wear all day, and these fit the bill!! Most shoes I've tried have caused pain in my right foot but so far, these have been great! I liked them so much I've already bought another pair!

I've worked at a small mom & pop shoe retailer for about 6 years now and this has remained one of my very favorite shoes I've gotten since discovering them. This is my third pair and this might be my favorite color yet!

I bought these for a trail hiker. I now wear them every single day as my everyday shoe, to work and out and about. Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Absolutely love them. Love the lacing system too, so easy and so darn comfy!!

These shoes have a wide toe box compared to the heel cup area. They felt too roomy at first, but the quick lace allows you to tighten them where you need it.

I recently purchased these running shoes for the 2nd time. I still have my 1st pair -2years old - and they have held up nicely. Those will now be by "everyday" sneakers and I'll use the new one for running. These work great for both trail running & for sidewalk jogging/walking. Thank you Salomon for creating a running show that fits my feet - wide toebox and narrow heal. They are perfect! In other brands I previously owned, I had to order 1/2 to 1 size up just to keep my toes from being squished from the sides. Unfortunately that left me with some slippage in the heal. I order my TRUE size in these and am very very pleased. Regarding the lacing. I like it. It took a little getting used to when I got my 1st pair but now I can't imagine having to put up with tying &re-tying my laces. They stay secure and have held up over time. Absolutely no complaints.

I finally ventured outside of my normal running shoe brand in search of a new trail runners, and am glad I did! These Salomon's are durable, the lace design keeps them tight on my feet without worries of needing to stop and retie, and I feel well supported on the trail. Bonus feature - they seem to dry quickly when used in the mud and rain!

I have a very bad ankle and an orthopedic surgeon told me this would be the best shoe for me. I have 8 pairs and every year they get better. Totally supportive and indestructible. I wear them everywhere.

Picked these up as a low-top alternative to my X Ultra Mids for hiking and backpacking. These have the same roomy toe box and great fit, but come in at a lighter weight and offer a little more agility. Plus I love the navy/teal/purple color combo.

I love these shoes, these are my fourth pair! they do not wear out too quickly
