These were my first Arc'teryx pants and were beyond expectations. They kept me cool, dry, and comfortable hiking in Costa Rica. They worked beautifully both in rain and hot humidity. These pants were easy to move in, easy to keep clean, and looked more flattering than expected. I imagine they will also work well in the desert.

I am new to Arc'teryx, but I won't be a stranger after buying these pants. They are extremely comfortable, while keeping their shape and flattering appearance after multiple days of wear. I wore them on a 3 day hiking, canoeing, and portaging trip. Not once did I find myself adjusting them from riding up, or falling down. By far though, my favourite feature was their breathability, and quick drying. After 1 km of portaging through trails, I can honestly say I was sweating like a beast...but my Arc'teryx pants kept me cool, and didn't stick to my skin - then they dried incredibly fast afterwards. I just took them out for a test climb today, and the Parapet pants were victorious! Breathable with sufficient stretch so that I wasn't limited at all in my movements. Thank you for such a functional & flattering pair of pants Arc'teryx! I look forward to expanding my wardrobe with your gear!

I wore these for the first time during hikes in the great smokey mountains. I am a heavy sweater and was quite surprised that my sweat did not show through the pants. The pants are light, comfortable and not suffocating. I loved them so much I ordered a second pair when I returned home from my hiking trip.

Nice pant but too short. I dont want to order the 35" because I'm already having another pair of Prana shortened & dont have time to get another pair altered.
I'd also recommend:

I was excited when I first tried them on. I tried on a size 6, which was too tight, but I figured I just needed a larger size. So I tried on the 8 - and it was too big. On top of that the length didn't seem right - it pulls right at the top of the legs / bottom of the crotch area. You can even see it slightly on the model. There is a crease right in that area. Needless to say, I was bummed because other than that, the material and style were nice. If you can get the fit right, I would say it's a good purchase. Btw - for comparison, I tried on another style of pant that was the S,M,L sizing and I wore a small, so maybe the sizing is a bit off on this pant? I typically wear a 4 in Prana, and a 6 in MEC and most other brands.

They fit perfectly, and are also a great length - 29" - I'm 5'4" ~130 lbs. I will be testing them out later in the summer, for an overseas trip.

These pants must have been mislabeled. I selected the 34 inch inseam, the tag said 35 inch, but they were actually about 28 inch inseam! WAY too short. I wasn’t crazy about the pants anyway, so I’m not going to bother trying to get the correct length. The material is a little odd - kind of noisy, for lack of a better word.

The older version of this pant was perfection (the version between 2009 and 2014). Every part of the pant was durable (in fact, they withstood a dog's bite, whose teeth punctured my skin underneath... great prophylactic!). The newer fabric is lighter weight (which is OK, but I think I prefer the slightly heavier weight of the older fabric). The problems: (1) mesh pockets are uncomfortable and questionably durable, (2) the one button at the top doesn't allow the fabric to lay flat, it curls out next to the button and looks not-well-made (the 2-button system of the older version was great) (3) the waist is too narrow relative to all the fabric below the hips, (4) the waist level is too high and pulls the fabric at the crotch, (5) the gathering at the knees feels strange when walking, (6) overall, the dimensions aren't quite right and this re-design is NOT better. Please go back to making the older version, which are the best hiking pants I have ever had.

These felt like a quality pant but unfortunately I found they fit very awkward. Fit around my hips but were large at the waist causing them to ride up. Also too big a leg opening so they snagged on branches easily and it always felt like I was going to step on them. Finally the bum pocket design made my bum look huge! Not for me but may fit someone else perfectly.

This pant is perfect for travel, light weight, durable, and does not wrinkle much. However, crotch of the pant never fits me... I still like it...

I ordered a 31" inseam (two in size 10 and one in size 12) and all three of them said inseam 32" on the tag. I didn't get out a tape measure and measure them, but they seemed very long even for 32" inseams. I might have tried exchanging them for a 29" inseam but they only had those in black which I didn't want.

It is true that these dry really fast, have great breathability and it is wonderfull to be able to get them with short inseam when you are 5,3. They also have a great fit on the backside, that is quite flattering. But there are some points that make me regret this buy. As you can see on the model, the pants tend tp make a horisontal fold just below the zipper. They do that on me too, as do many other Arcteryx pants, and it does really not look that great. Furthermore, the two buttons pinch my stomach every time i sit down, as a earlier reviewer also wrote. I think i could live with these two issues for the benefit of getting a pair of pants that is actually my length, but there are two more thing that kind of put me off. One is that they start to smell really fast, they are only good for one day in mid temperature range. The other is that they make quite a lot of noise. Way more than other hiking pants do. Washing them quite a few times does not seem to help. What I really enjoy in nature is the peace and quiet, which is not possible wearing theese pants. I bought them for a walking safari, but had to use another pair since my travelling fellows kept sending med looks....

The two buttons squeeze together and pinch my stomach everytime I sit down. The last time I wore the pants I was left with a really uncomfortable sore. I might have a coupel of pounds I could lose around my middle, but over all am a pretty small person, so I don't know why they pinch me. I have other similar pants with two buttons, that do not pinch. Otherwise the fit is great, and I loved them for climbing.

Well designed lightweight pants for daily wear. 34” inseam is true to size and these are nice enough to informal evening wear. Arcteryx balances design with practicality in women’s clothes.

I expected more from these pants, not only because of the name but because of the price....the material was so thin....the pants had no style whatsoever.....

I didn't like the product at all, but Kuhl pants are more reasonably priced, fit better, material is
