This is my second pair of Asolo boots. I got a pair of Fugitive in Pamplona Spain five years ago on a visit, and used them on a day trip to climb Mt Urgul in San Sebastian. I wore them many hundreds of miles backpacking in the White Mountains of NH and in Maine. It took a lot of effort to wear them out, but I finally did. When my wife asked what I would like for Christmas, I said a new pair of Asolo hiking boots, and she gave me these. A bit of an upgrade from the Fugitive, and equally as amamzing. I will never wear anything besides Asolo on the trail. I do have LaSportiva for winter climbing and hiking with crampons, but for most snowshoe excursions, or hiking with katoohlah microspikes, the TPS is well up to the challenge.
I'd also recommend:
La Sportiva, Zamberlan, Vasque

I've had these boots for about 3 weeks now and they are the best boots I've ever worn. The toe box is roomy and comfy (which I've noticed is hard to come by in boots). The construction seems really good (if these don't last years and years I'll be surprised). And the upper part of the boot fits exactly the way it should. I've only taken them on 1-2 miles walks with my dogs, but I can definitely see where theses boots would be great for longer and harder expeditions. I wish I had these when I hiked the Grand Canyon. Sure they're pretty expensive but they are worth the price, trust me.

Simply the best hiking / backpacking boot that you can buy. On my third pair now after wearing the vibram down to nothing on the first two pairs without any other issues.

Amazing boots. Made with materials and craftsmanship rarely seen these days. Little to no break-in period for me, at least. I expect these will be around for me for years.

I've loved Asolo hiking boots for just about 20 years now. I'm not specifically sure what the anniversary is for, but I can say the boots are awesome! I ordered the black with yellow laces and couldn't be happier. These are my daily driver for work and recreation. Italian foot molds for my feet perfectly! I'm definitely a fan!

Very stiff boot and expect a few miles to break in. Have about 20 and just starting to break-in.

These are my secondary boots meaning I don't use them for hiking anymore because I've found the Zamberlan Vioz to be more comfortable on extended hikes. But it still makes a great boot for working around the house and when I don't necessarily want to abuse my primary hiking boots. They are a bit lighter than other boots but I can still go further more comfortably in my heavier Zamberlans.

After close inspection of the boots I immediately repackaged them and returned them. I could not correlate the price with the product I received. Perhaps some customers with more hiking knowledge than me regard the price appropriate based on their experiences with a variety of brands and/or models. I have limited experience with high-end waterproof hiking boots. I very happily wore a single pair of quite affordable boots by a different manufacturer for years while hiking the damp Redwood forests in Northern California, but unfortunately the model is no longer manufactured to the standards it once was, so I will keep searching for hiking boots that meet my specific expectations and needs.
