Let me start by saying that I only gave these sandals 3 stars because they are Teva. I have worn Teva sandals for many years, and have seen firsthand how durable and rugged they are - I tend to be pretty hard on my outdoor shoes/sandals. I have literally walked several pairs of Tevas apart after several years and countless muddy and rocky hikes. These slides look and feel to be well-made, and the soles have better-than-average traction for similar sandals I've seen. The color is also nice, so that helps me justify the 3 star rating. Unfortunately that is the end of the positives for these sandals. Personally I do not wear active sandals that do not have an ankle strap, as I need more support. These sandals only have two straps - quite thick straps - that don't quite make me feel secure enough to do any walking in these. If I tighten the toe strap to fit my foot, it hits the outer part of my foot (by the pinkie toe) in an awkward way and actually hurts. The other strap needs to be tight enough so my foot doesn't slide out, and that is not very comfortable either. Also the metal ring connecting the straps by the pinkie toe is quite large, and digs into my foot/toe and hurts a bit. I do like that both straps are adjustable (Velcro), but again the strap over the toes is just too wide and stiff and painful. Perhaps it will soften with wear, but I cannot attest to that. Also, I prefer walking/active sandals to have better arch support as I have high arches. These sandals while not completely flat, don't have enough arch support for my feet. They might work great for somebody with flatter feet. All-in-all I would not purchase these sandals as they are not supportive enough in both the arch and lacking an ankle strap. Both straps are too wide and stiff for my liking, and the metal details cut into my foot in a painful place. The fact that these are leather may be appealing to some buyers, but not to me. I try to not wear leather for personal reasons...but also because leather is a bit more high maintenance than I prefer. I live in Hawaii where it can start pouring rain in an instant, and need shoes that can stand up to that and also dry quickly. I should also add that I normally wear a size 7 in Teva (these are also size 7), and the length of the sandal feels true to size. The width can be adjusted somewhat with the Velcro straps which is nice.

The Teva Universal Slide in leather its true to size, and the arch support is fairly good. I have had Teva sandals with similar styling-- two hook and loop straps and a heel strap in black nubuck; they fit great and felt great. I do not like the styling of the slide because with the very smooth footbed, my foot slips out. The straps have 'sharp edges' which seem to dig into my skin. I do not like the tan color.

I received these as a gift. I normally wear a 6-1/2 or 7 M and received a 7 W. It's understandable that the shoes would be a little wide for me, but they also were quite a bit longer than I would have expected. Either that, or it's part of the design that the front extends 3/4" beyond my toes. Other than that, I liked that the top and bottom straps were adjustable. The shoes look to be of good quality and well-constructed.

Great cushioning but the footbed needs to be textured instead of smooth and slick. It was hard to keep the sandal on my foot with or without a sock. The strap rubbed on my little toe so back they went.

I love these sandals! They are stylish in that dorky Teva kinda way which is so popular right now. The style look great with dresses, blue Jean shorts, and even your athleisure wear. The color is a perfect blonde tan. The footbed is soft like butter. Not quite as comfortable as my Ecco Sandals, but you don't purchase a slide to go on long walks anyway. Width is adjustable. Straps may feel scratchy at first but they don't dig and they soften up with time. In other words, I didn't need to break them in by wearing socks.

I love these shoes! They look great with jeans, shorts or even a skirt or casual dress. They have a good arch support. I typically wear a 6 1/2, and ordered a 6 in these. They also work great for wider feet, because of the ability to adjust both straps.

This is a review for the Teva Universal Slide In a leather, color tan, size 6w. Sandal seems very comfortable but doesn't look like a "comfort" sandal. The tan color is perfect, and the sandal will look great with summer clothes, jeans, etc. I am hoping to get a lot of use out of them throughout the summer while not looking like I'm wearing flip flops. Because of the Velcro, the size is forgiving. I am normally a 5 1/2M, but when the shoe came in a 6W instead, I tried it and it fits fine. The footbed had a good arch, and the cork bottoms are cute.

I received these last week. I was not sure about the look, but I have worn them every day since I took them out of the box! Great arch support (which I need), extremely comfortable. I do not slide in them at all. A little casual looking, but great for shorts/pool/lake, etc.

I just got this pair of Teva's - W Original Universal Ombre's! Great walking shoe, fits a little roomier in size. If you are looking for comfort, YES! If you are looking for colorful, YES! Great summer style and design.

Light and comfortable sandals with cushion sole. Very comfortable - no "breaking" in period needed. Very casual look but can go with jeans, shorts and casual skirts or sun dress. So light weight - great for packing.

A summer classic from Teva, the W Universal Slide Leather is a casual, comfortable, well made sandal. The first thing I noticed as I opened the box was the scent of genuine leather from the straps and insoles. Cork provides a nice cushiony feel for walking, and these sandals have some arch support as well. The two adjustable straps provide plenty of adjustment to get the fit just right. These sandals are well constructed and built to last. Because the Teva W Universal Slide is a leather sandal, there was a short break in period of a few days to work out some of the natural stiffness of the leather straps. I am glad I stuck with them! Even though the insole is leather, I have not had any issues with my feet sliding around but this could be something to think about if you plan to wear these sandals with socks. These Tevas are a great choice for casual sandals, and I have been wearing them more than anticipated due to their comfort and quality.

I just received the Teva W Universal Slide. I like a lot of arch support and these have them. Very comfortable. Not dressy at all, but would be great for pool, lake, running after the kids. The leather is a little stiff, so I will see if they soften a little with time. I wasn't sure about the look when I opened the box, but once I put them on I did not take them off.

These are cute, but they made my toe bleed. The stitching under the front band is sharp! I've purchased some mole skin and hope to remedy the situation, but beware.

I typically wear a 6.5 in Tevas, but received a size 7 in these. They re about an inch too long in the front so I do feel like I m wearing mini flippers. They also feel wider than my other Tevas. The tan color is a nice neutral. The footbed is very smooth. It s actually too smooth and my feet end up sliding toward the front when I walk; not sure if a smaller size would prevent that. I like that the Velcro allows you to adjust the width/snugness, but unfortunately it s also a bit stiff. I m hoping it ll soften over time. As for the style, I wouldn't say they re the ugliest shoes I have, but they re far from cute.
