Best laptop/commute bag owned. Has just enough room for a laptop, charger cables and a book to read on the way to work.

Good for cycle commuting and flashy orange stands out in night cycle! A but smaller to put a waterbottle and lunchbox. But overall i like this bag so much!

Low profile, feels vary good on my back. Fits my 13 inch laptop perfectly. Have enough room for documents (a4 size) pc charger and other stuff. The back panel pocket fits my Glock 26, i asume it could also fit a larger pistol. Comperd to my blade 24, the 6 has less pedded shoulder straps but still very comfortable. The only thing i didn't like is the small key pocket, if it was a bit bigger it could fit my phon and wallet, but unfortunately it fits my keys only.

Nice backpack for daily commute, maybe not the best option when traveling. Bag is small: fits slim 14 inch laptop and some accessories. For airline travel it counts as personal item so you might want to bring something bigger than can store more stuff.

The main compartment is very small, as other comments have said. It makes this backpack briefcase almost totally ineffective unless your only carry flat things. The main compartment will only hold a couple file folders or a folio, a phone, a tablet, two pens, your keys, a chapstick, and other tiny sundries. Basically, the laptop padding is far too large and inflexible. It's like having a hard-sided box sew inside your cool little briefcase that takes up half the space. SOLUTION - I cut out the laptop padding. I did the same to my Blade 28 too. In the Blade 6 I can still fit the flat stuff listed above but also have wider space to fit non-flat things - eg, on Friday I took to work a slim water bottle, a mini-umbrella, and my sunglasses case along with a two file folders.

I know this backpack is small and meant for urban travel, but it simply doesn't have enough room. I was in the market for a small backpack to go on day outings throughout the city, especially while I'm traveling. I was hopeful for this backpack because it seemed like the right volume. However, because of the thin depth and the side opening, I cannot fit my Hydro Flask 18L into the backpack when it is full with other EDC essentials.

I've tried several of the Blade backpacks. The Arc'Teryx typical level of quality is there, but I'm confused about several of the design choices. First and foremost, why every single bag this size or larger doesn't have a water bottle attachment or pocket is beyond me. I don't go anywhere without one, so that's the first turnoff for me. Second, even with a small bag, sometimes you can put some weight into it. So the straps are the other reason I no longer have these. They're thin, not very padded, and often cut into your shoulders if anything larger than a MacBook Air is put into the bag. That said, I wish they'd bring back the Kitlisano. That's still my favorite run around backpack. For the price though, I steer clear of the Blade series.

The blade series looks good, but the product design leads to serious limitations. First, slim design means compartment access is tight. Use as a travel product means bringing a power adapter with doesn't fit with the design. Second, compartment design means you really need to take papers out to find anything - say travel confirmations, airline tickets etc. (International flights don't always take an email ticket scan. Third, access means you need to find a place to balance (gravity means the contents shift to the bottom when upright) the bag to access from the one side. As for product quality a strap item popped off rather quickly and there is a hole in between the compartments at the bottom (when accessing, top when wearing).

Before I start, I just want to say I am a HUGE Arcteryx fan. I still have a Arcteryx rain coat I bought in 2002! And it is in fabulous condition. I bought my one and only Arcteryx Blade 21 in 2006 (yes 10 years) and I used it virually every day and on weekly business trips between east coast and west coast for 7 years!! I still use it, the zipper is now shot and I got a hole patched up (due to a hard cornered laptop). I finally relented and ordered this backpack. I almost cried when I saw it. This bag felt so cheap, the material used so flimsy. The straps were not padded and thin. For anyone who never had an old Blade 21, this may feel adequate, But I am so exteremely disappointed with Arcteryx. I am willing to pay anything to have the Blade 21 back. Or can you fix my old 21? So sad.....
