First, I must applaud Arc'teryx for the design of this bag. It has an extremely sleek design and overall very appealing to the eye. However, there are some design features that I do not agree with and the primary reason why I returned it. The straps on this bag are not intended for someone who has broad shoulders. The straps are set very narrow on the back of the bag thus making it uncomfortable to wear if it has any load in it. This was a huge disappointment to me because I have wide shoulders I had to set the straps very loose in order for it to be somewhat comfortable on my back/shoulders but that also made it sit very low on my back, which is also uncomfortable. If you have a slimmer profile this bag will work for you. With a high price tag I wish the straps were designed a it better. It's a huge disappointment to me because the pack has some really elegant features but what is the point if wearing if I cannot wear it on my back properly.

I've been using Arc'teryx Blade packs for years. This would've been my third. But I'm returning it. The quality is awful. I don't know what Arc'teryx has done with their manufacturing but this thing is a piece of junk.

Great looking bag. Larger than expected but lightweight and sleek looking. Fits everything needed and a MacBook.

I bought this pack perhaps 10 years ago and it is still going strong as a carry-on and a daily cycling pack...very very satisfied

Nearly perfect in every way. Shoulder straps adjust on their own occasionally but otherwise this bag is perfect. Love the compartmentalized approach with electronics in the back and food or misc up front. Clean simple look and professional most importantly.

Love this. Great for picking gym clothes and everything else. Very slick look and sits on side great for a backpack. Can walk into a meeting/office or the gym and feel at home.

I bought this bag before covid, when I was doing a lot of day trips between Scotland and Ireland. Now I use it for family trips to Europe. I love the separate clothes compartment and clam-shell opening. The elastic straps to tidy the shoulder straps and smuggler's pouch are also very handy. It is a great design for getting a change of clothes out quickly, and for storing my suit in. The laptop compartment holds my laptop securely, even when I forget to close it. And the side handle is very convenient for carrying it through the airport or lifting it when weighed down with gear. My only negative comment is that it's not a technical bag. It does have some zippered document, laptop, and tablet sections, but changing one of the larger zippered section for a couple of smaller zippered sections would have made this bag perfect. Instead, I often carried a small pouch for little items. Also a sternum strap would have been nice.
I would gladly recommend this bag to anyone.

This pack is great I use it for everything. School, work, climbing (both in the gym and outside). It has compartments and options to suit all of the things I'd need a backpack for. For me the only real issue is the size, it's a little small for me but that's what the Blade 28 is for!
It would also be nice if there was a water bottle holder as there isn't really a great place for a nalgene, also a different color inside of the bag so it wasn't just all black which can make it hard to see inside.

I've had this bag for three years now and I love it to death. It's my daily bag for carrying my laptop, but it's also my carry-on bag and if I'm out for only a night or two it easily accommodates a change of clothes and even a pair of shoes. The pockets and compartments are simple, minimal, and well thought out. The grab straps on the top and side make it easy to pick up and carry like a briefcase, or pull out of an overhead bin or to stash under the seat in front of you. I leave my passport and emergency cash in the secret compartment. My only complaints are that previous versions had a lighter material inside, so that you could more easily find contents, my version is black (with a faint line pattern) and it makes it very hard to find things at the bottom. Also, the little key pocket on the side is designed to be accessed while keeping the shoulder strap on, but it's designed for someone who is left handed, not sure why they don't default to the right hand majority.

I'm a male and I use the Blade 20 as a female would use a "purse"; I carry that which I expect to use on a normal day,...and nothing more! The interior is filled with stretchy/elastic pouches (not zippered); this allows quick and easy access to contents. I live in Denver and do not have a car; I carry my Blade 20 everyday whether it's Winter or Summer. I travel LITE; the fully packed Blade 24 was a burden when rushing through an airport. THE BLADE 20 IS MY ONLY CARRY ON!

I've been using this pack for several months now on a daily basis and it has not disappointed. It looks great, feels great, and has the perfect amount of compartments and space for day to day worries. Extra kudos on the padded slot for a surface pro/laptop, ipad. It really is a cushioned slot to prevent damage, regardless of how much weight or pressure is on the pack.

This backpack has exceeded my expectations. I used it everyday, all day for school related purposes, used it as a carry-on bag on all of my recent flights, used it as an impromptu camera bag, have used it as a day hike bag, used it at work... my only issue is that there is no specific rain fly available and had to purchase a generic one for cycling in the rain.
In that, due to the design of the zippers being on the side, I have never had an issue with water permeation irrespective of the rate of rainfall. The size is absolutely ideal for a day pack. Just enough room, but not enough to over pack. All my zippers still work as new. Though I periodically give the teeth a wipe with paraffin wax to keep them lubed and from corroding.
All in all I would highly recommend this pack to anyone.

perfect pack, just need the arcteryx and blade 20 logo to be removed. Put the dead bird logo on the top right or left of the pack and it'll be the ultimate stealthy sleek looking pack ever made.

Amazing backpack for work or school. Stand-out from the others with this backpack. I'v had so many compliments. It has a simple classy yet futuristic look to it. This is the only backpack acceptable in a business attire if you don't like leather messenger bags. Perfectly tucks away under an airplane seat!!!

I have this pack for some time. it replaced a north face pack which was nice.
The Blade 20 is just perfect. It is functional (I carry a MacBook pro 15") and theres a dedicated charger pocket.
Also theside pockets are great since you don't need to take out the home bag to take out your keys only one strap.
