It's difficult to find shoes for underpronators (supinators). I first tried the Brooks Ghost 8, but felt the insoles and soles were way too hard to be comfortable. Also, their color choices are less than ideal. The Kinsei 6 was the other option I was considering, so I purchased these later. They are noticeably more comfortable. I could use even more arch support, but my arches are very high. They feel good while running - no need to break them in. I don't have any issues with rubbing or discomfort around the ankles, but I wear fairly thick running socks (Thorlos). Overall, I'm pretty satisfied. I just wish they were not so expensive. I've owned pricey Asics in the past and it's not apparent to me what I'm getting for the additional cost in expense.

I've tried many Asics tennis shoes and most feel half size smaller. Also they rub on my ankles like no other shoes do, as if they are way too high in that area. Needless to say I had to return these shoes.

They are so narrow, toes go numb. They are ok if I wear them to workout for one hr and immediately take them off.

It is made for narrower feet than mine. I went back to Cumulus which I had to size 1 size up for the style this year.

I previously had the less expensive Nimbus and bought this pair of Kayanos for an upcoming race. The Kayanos are much less comfortable and give me less arch support than the Nimbus. I'm going to save some money and go back to my more comfortable Nimbus-18's!

I loved these when I first tried them on. Literally felt like walking on a thick cushion. I took them out on the treadmill though, and it was a fail. Too much padding! My feet felt like they were sinking in and going numb almost. Returning! These would probably be great if you were using them to be on your feet at work or something like that, just not for running.

Bought these to replace my Kayanos since I read terrible reviews of the latest Kayanos. These are not much better, especially for the price. They got holes in them after wearing them for a month. Also, not good for wide feet. I got blisters on top of my blisters.

Bought these in July, and by October 1, the inside heel is torn and is giving me blisters. Also worn on the edges. I walk/run every day, but this is more wear than should be expected. The arch support and shoe itself are great ( including cushion- very comfortable and protect my feet) but they just are not holding up like I would want them to at this price.

These are bigger than the other Asics I had been wearing. I wore keyano for 15-20 years, but they grew, so I switched to elevate.

I have worn Asics shoes since 2005. I ordered the Gel-Kinsei because I needed more cushioning than the Gel-Cumulus was giving me. Asics what have you done to your shoes?! I have a pretty narrow foot and I couldn't wear these longer than an hour due to the extremely narrow toe box. I put my old Asics next to these new ones and the narrowness is clear as day. I always order running shoes a 1/2 size up and even with the extra space my toes were cramped. My husband is a Brooks fan and convinced me to try the Brooks Glycerin 14. I found the fit was far better than Asics. I'm sorry to say I'll be leaving Asics and buying Brooks going forward. Hopefully Asics reads reviews and starts fixing their design flaws..

I have a pair of "5"'s and best shoe ever even with outrageous price. This shoe is changed. Narrow toe bed and rather flimsy material over toe bed -. What happened Aspics? You had a great shoe and ruined it. Returning.

Be advised these running shoes run very very short! I am a natural size 10 and I tried the 10.5 It felt like I needed a full size larger, which would push me into purchasing a size 11.5. Insane. This year almost every style of Asics I have tried have run too short. I have tried at least 6 different styles. All the same issue. I will have to move to a new brand.

Disappointing! I completely wore out my Gel Nimbus 7s and needed a replacement. I thought if I went up in price I was also buying more comfort/technology. Furthermore, the shoes are very attractive. Initially, the shoes werent soft and cloudy like the old Nimbuses were. I thought the answer was to break them in as other reviewer's recommended. However, within days of walking in them, I had excruciating pain in my heels. Unfortunately I was on vacation and had to keep wearing the shoes...still hoping that my heel pain was a natural result of breaking them in or some new heel technology I wasnt used to. When I went back to my old Gel Nimbus, I didnt have the heel pain. I would caution people to read reviews on these shoes and listen to your body. Once you try to wear them in you can no longer return the shoes. This was a very expensive mistake!

I rarely write these reviews but this is just SO disappointing and I am hoping Asics will listen! I have been buying running shoes since 1979. I started wearing Asics ~ 10 years ago and have been thrilled with every one of their models which improved with each new design, making them lighter, more cushioned or whatever. This model, however, is awful. I wanted it to work because it is such a pain to have to find a new running shoe but, this shoe is just too narrow in the toe box. I tried loosening the laces, putting vaseline on my toes, wearing thinner or thicker socks and wearing them around the house to break them in-nothing worked. I looked at the reveiws before I bought but I was hoping my foot was not as wide as theirs (others reported about the toe box being too narrow)- I was wrong. Every other Asics running shoe I have looked for in the past 3 months has the same review-too narrow in the toe box.

I have been wearing ASICS to run in for 5 years. This is my 3rd pair of Kinsei and these are nothing like the other two pairs. The toe box is narrow and they aren't as cushy. I can't even wear them to walk my dogs my feet hurt so bad. I'm so disappointed because they cost over $180.00. The only activity I can do in these shoes is weight lifting and I do it so that my money is completely wasted. My 1 Star is because I love the color.

Way too narrow. Ran in them for a mile and couldn't feel my toes because they were so tight. Immediately got a blister. Going back to Kayano and going to order half a size up based on reviews
