I bought these for my 3 yr old. He wears a size 11 and I bought him the 12 so he could grow into them. They do have some padding cushion under the strap that goes over the toes which helps keep his foot in them. He's just not used to sandals so he loses one occasionally. Lol They work perfect for his swimming lessons.
