Back pockets are too small for me and the zip pocket could do with more depth. Other than that I am happy.

These shorts are half decent at best. I've worn them a few times climbing in the gym and outdoors. Practically speaking, they work well in many settings from such as climbing, to hiking, wearing casual to and from work (depending on the attire for your workplace) and just overall general wear.
The biggest problem is the material choice itself. After multiple washes, the shorts began to fray and develop holes where there are either folds (hem, pocket seams, etc.) or where stitching is necessary to construct the shorts itself. As a result, I had a pair have the whole seat blow out entirely where the back pocket is suppose to stitch into the main body of the shorts.
This is also a personal gripe, but the shorts are also hella noisy. Just walking around, the rubbing of the material is more akin to a pair of softshell pants.
Overall, as great as the pants are to climb in, the choice of material and construction is poor at best. It leaves a lot to be desired.

The pockets are poorly designed. The rear ones are an impractical shape to hold anything useful and the hand ones too shallow. I have returned them.

Within a few months of purchasing these shorts, the belt loops became torn so I stopped wearing them. I sent it in for repair, and they replaced the belt loops with a different color belt loop which looks very strange. Based on this experience, I don't recommend Arcteryx products.
