Am I the only one that just cannot stand how fitted all these hiking pants are? I ordered up from my usual size 4 and still not enough room when bending knees. I don't want to feel my pants binding when I am bent down or taking a big step. Sending these back.

Arc’teryx makes some of the best products out there. Big fan of these pants, super comfortable

Hoping to see some of the 35" inseams in colors other than black. Love these pants but lots of us can't swing the regular length. You make the best gear out there. Please don't make me wear janky Zions again this summer!!

I've had 2 pairs of these pants and will soon be purchasing a third. They are my climbing pants 100% of the time. Surprisingly durable for how thin they are and super light. Also, when new they were great at repelling water. They dry extremely fast. Each pair I have had, has lasted about 4 years-- with over 100 days of climbing and thousands of kms logged hiking.

Perfect fit and they look great. Lightweight, quick drying and large site pockets are a plus. Love them.

I've used these for a week in the Eagle Cap wilderness hiking rocky, dirty terrain in both rain and hot weather. They are lightweight, wick sweat well and dry quickly (like in minutes). They have not snagged once, and a dog even bit me and the pants did not puncture or tear somehow, though my leg didn't fare so well;) This was surprising! I can't think of a better investment for backpacking. Wish more colors were available in the short sizes though.

I've been on the search for the perfect hiking/backpacking pants for a long time. What drew me to these pants were the big, partially pleated thigh pockets and zippered hand pockets. I sized up for extra comfort and room for a base layer. I have 3233-inch inseams so I tried the 31-inch pants first, but they were too short. I then got the 34-inch pants and they were too long, but I'd rather have my pants too long than really too short. The pants are very comfortable with a lined waistband, built in belt and just enough stretch. I like the fit in that they are "trim" but not too tight like leggings/tights would be. (I'm not opposed to tights for some things but not for backpacking for me) I like that they left off the back pockets you typically find in hiking pants. In my opinion, I would never carry anything back there while carrying a pack (even a day pack) and the small of my back gets so sweaty under a pack anyway so, perfect, no pockets back there! The thigh pockets are perfect! I can fit my large smart phone completely into the pocket with room for more. I can carry a BeFree water filter, snack bars, beanie, headlamp or many other things there too if I want. Finally, pockets on women's pants that actually hold stuff! My only suggestion re: pockets would be a knife/multi-tool pocket. While I can carry a pocketknife on the un-zipped thigh pocket, a pocket with an edge to clip my knife to would be great. Because quick-dry is important on long haul treks, I wore them, rinsed them in the sink and then put them outside to dry. I put them in the shade to mimic the cooler temps of the high Sierra and they still dried pretty quickly except for the waistband. I was very pleased with how quickly the legs dried but the waistband takes a while. There will be trips where I will want a convertible (zip off leg) pant but otherwise, I finally found an outstanding pair of pants for my backpacking needs.

Purchased 2 pair - exceptional performance for west coast weather. Dry, warm but comfortable, free moving and durable, convenient pockets. Have been on several hikes, changing conditions, performed great.

Bought it three months ago to wear something comfortable while working at home that were not sweat pants Although they are designed for hiking (I have done it and are great) I like to use them at home and walking in the neighborhood. They are light, nice fit, and comfortable

First i am enjoying this pants with zippered thigh pockets for cell phone and wallet. One thing i do not enjoy as i am in between sizes, i would really like to have elasticates waist band as i do not believe in the Arcteryx' hook band system - the hook band does not give any room to expand for different activities. I ended up sewing it myself - took me an hour by hand sewing per pants (Palisade, Sabre LT and many other ski pants i had). Also the men zipper is a bit annoying and it does not go down enough for the urgent need - would need 1" longer zipper if you care. Very lightweight and stylish.

Love the lightweight material, the truly best part of the pant. Gets somewhat tight in the hip area, rather broad in the calves. I would really appreciate an ankle based snap or drawstring.

I did a lot of research before investing in this purchase. I had tried on an older version I found at a discount store, that didn't have my size. I loved the style and materials so much I read reviews and went ahead and bought a size 2 on Arc'teryx website. Not only was the shipping and online experience super, I am in LOVE with these pants! I REALLY appreciate the green color, because I am sick of black, grey and beige hiking/outdoor pants! It's a stellar color that goes with everything and I don't feel frumpy to go out after a hike or adventure. I live in the wilderness off-grid with big mountain trails, I garden and mountain bike. I'm hoping it holds up to my wilderness brush and thorns, but as most of the quality I have purchased from this company I'm pretty confident in the product as expected for the substantial cost. I'm willing to invest for this pant and am considering another pair in the other cool mulberry color if it holds up as I expect. Gratitude for such great designs and top-notch company.

I bought these for hiking but they are so comfortable I wear them everywhere. For hiking, the pants are fine as long as I don't have to step up too high; if the trail is steep and I have to lift my leg up high, I feel the pants tug on my leg - they stick instead of slide. Not a huge deal, but a minor annoyance. I started a hike when the temp was in the low 40s and the Palisade was perfect, but as the temp got into the high 50s, I got a little hot and was wishing for zip-off legs. That would be a nice option for future versions. I wore the pants rappelling and they were great - tight enough to not bunch up under the harness, stretchy enough for free movement, and pockets to hold my stuff. I love the material, I love the way they fit, and I especially love all the pockets. However, if any Arc'teryx designers read this, the pocket zippers can be difficult to zip due to the shape and/or size of the pull tab - they are not easy to grab onto. Also, I have two pair of these pants, and the belt loop on the blue pair is a little too big, which causes the belt to come undone a little too easily. Lastly, if these pants came in khaki, or if they came with zip-off legs, I would buy another pair.

I'm very pleased that Arc'teryx has these pants in the line up, and I hope to see more like it. Skiers tend to have larger thighs and gluts, so having pants with a regular fit is indispensable. I do wish there were more colour options for tall sizes. I have black and it attracts heat so is better to wear on overcast days, or in cooler weather. I believe other colours could be worn comfortably in summer.

These trousers have become my firm first choice for indoor climbing and most outdoor activities. They are very comfortable, give enough stretch to allow freedom of motion, but without 'drooping' knees. The trousers proved very abrasion resistant during scrambling. They are not for cold winter climbing, but they worked extremely well during swift weather changes on Scottish Munros. Very satisfied with this product.

Picked these up in the spring and they have been my go to pants for the last few months. They have exactly enough stretch to feel comfortable but not sloppy. The "Tall" inseam gives me plenty of length to work with. Pockets are big but do not add bulk. Waist belt is unnoticeable when carrying a pack. I've worn them everywhere from mowing the lawn, to backpacking in Glacier National Park, to getting a bite to eat. And they still look like new. These pants do it all!

I usually decide to buy pants based on the pockets because I need to carry a few things that are quick to grab. These pants are light, breathable, and I can fit my guide book and cell phone (for picture taking) in the pockets for easy access. I love the zippers too because they are just so smooth. I highly recommend these pants and I have more than one pair.

Love these pants. Spent nearly two-weeks climbing the longer Lemosho route at Kilimanjaro in them back in 2018. Made from lightweight, breathable, and quick drying stretchy nylon, which turned out to be perfect starting out in the rain forest. But these pants are extremely comfortable, trim fitting, with straight legs, coupled with many other features like zippered thigh pockets. Plenty of room to add layers underneath as we ascended higher and it got colder.

We LOVE these pants. They are awesome. No flaws. Get compliments on them from my friends all the time. Only con is limited sizing and colors. We cannot find more anywhere in the right size. We'd love to see in size 34/35 in the colors colbalt moon or labrynth. Hope they come out in these colors soon!!!
