Straight out of the box, these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The leather is super soft and the foot bed is velvety and cushioned, with high, very firm arch support. My feet are very flat, so the arch supports are like a foot massage with every step. I also was born with pretty spectacular bunions and my entire life have struggled with fit in the fore foot, needing to use a shoe stretcher to make room for that freakish bump. Not with these shoes. The strap lays across the top of my bunions, but is so soft there is no uncomfortable rubbing. The only issue I have is size. I usually wear an 8.5/39 in Born, Dansko, and Naot. Because other reviewers mentioned the shoes run a little large, I ordered an 8.5 in black and an 8 in tan, planning to return the one that didn't fit. Though the boxes were different sizes, to my surprise, the shoes labeled as 8.5 were exactly the same size as those labeled 8. Some sellers do not sell half sizes for the these shoes, so I can only conclude there are no half sizes. The 8s were a bit on the large size and I debated returning them for a 7.5, but I loved the shoes, they fit well enough with the straps tightened, and I wanted to start wearing them right away, so I kept them. Both pairs. They are the only shoes I have worn since they arrived. As long as I can remember, every opportunity to remove my shoes, I have done so. No longer!! Now the first thing I remove when I get home is my bra. These shoes stay on!

I absolutely love these shoes. I feel like I'm walking on a cloud. I had to break them in a little bit but once that was done the fit is great. The arch is nice and firm. My foot is a little wide but I don't need to get a wide in this shoe because it gives me enough room. I have fallen arches and plantar fasciitis and this shoe gives me the relief I need. I have them in the tan color as well. I love having the back strap because it gives me stability and security when walking. Vionic shoes have done wonders for my feet!

This shoe makes me feel like Vionic is back! They're so comfortable and back to their supportive selves!! The footbed is soft but not squishy and the support is very strong! It's wide enough for wide but fits my medium perfectly because of the adjustability.

I love these shoes. I've been wearing them every day. They're really, really comfortable and have great arch support. My feet are average width and the front strap and sole is almost too wide, but after walking around in them, I think they're just right. It's just a little wider than I expected them to fit, but my feet stay securely in them and maybe adds to their comfort.

This was my first purchase of Vionics shoes and I am thrilled with the purchase. I have cavus arches, severe plantar fasciitis, and a heel spur. These sandals felt great right out of the box and I wore them the next day and walked all around Boston for several hours. My feet didn't hurt at all. I've worn them every day since and can't get over the comfort. The arch support is great as is the deep heel cup. They really cradle my feet. I read all the reviews before purchasing and ordered a size 6. I run between a 6 and 6.5. They fit perfectly. I admit that for some people they would probably be too wide but I didn't have that problem. Since I have high arches and insteps I liked the extra roominess as they didn't bind across the instep as many shoes and sandals do. I have custom orthotics but of course they don't work for sandals or flip flops so these are a godsend! After my experience with these, i plan on ordering some other Vionics styles. My feet have never felt better.

These are the cutest sandals and I totally I love them! They are well-constructed and perfect in every way. They run a little large, so you may want to consider going down a size. (I wear a 7.5 and the 7.0 are a good fit.) Yes, they are a tad expensive for a sandal, but you'll be paid back quickly with compliments.

I have about nine pairs of Vionic sandals which I love, but these ones (Samar) are by far my favorites.

Hard to tell from the photos, but the sandal is very wide. This would be good if you have a wider foot, but don't want to wear only Birkenstocks. My foot is more slender, so these were too wide for me. They made me feet look like Hobbit feet. Not what I was expecting. The foam inside is very nice and supportive. They are very comfortable so if you do like Birkenstocks, these would be a nice option for you! Unfortunately, if you look at the side of the sandal you can see the foam makes up about 90% of the "sole" of the sandals. The actual sole of the sandals on the bottom is very thin (that thinner line of rubber at the bottom). I doubt these would last more than one season, which makes the price a bit too steep. If you are prone to dragging your heels or pronating a lot, this could be an issue because once you wear down the rubber, you will be slowly eroding the foam support on these babies.

I loved the look of these shoes and they were so comfortable, unfortunately the raised outer edge of the footbed near the strap curved in where my foot didn't. I tried them on over several days hoping I was wrong - I hated to return these otherwise perfect for me shoes. I wear size 10 with a widish foot and this fit great without making my foot look huge.

LOVE these! Really chic style. I have fallen arches and these provide the support I need. My feet always feel achy after walking around (even short distances) But not anymore! These shoes are SO comfortable.

So far so good, the only thing I would say is that they run large, I needed a half size smaller.

I ordered a 1/2 size smaller from what others reviewers recommended and they fit perfectly. The arch is very good and they have a deep heel well that is cushioned. Nice leather and lining and they can be used for casual or moderate dress-up. This sandal is a good buy for people with foot issues.

These were so cute and SO comfortable but had no adjust ability in the width and we much to wide for me.

These sandals are wonderful. I have wide feet (can wear regular width but some brands pinch my toes) and a high arch so the fact that these sandals are a bit wide worked out well for me. The arch support is better than any other brand I have tried including Birkenstock and Mephisto. These sandals are so comfortable that I plan to wear them all summer! I got them in the tan color and the gold buckles dress them up a bit and prevent them from looking too "orthopedic" so can be worn with shorts or casual dresses. When I first put them on I thought the wider strap across the top of the foot would rub uncomfortably on the top of my foot but the material is so soft and flexible that this was not an issue.

This shoes is very comfortable. I wore it several days all day and did a lot of walking and had no trouble. I felt very secure and it is fashionable. The coloring of the material make this shoe very versatile. Love it.

So happy to have tried these sandals! I have very high arches, plantar fasciitis and heel spurs, so I need support and cushioning. These sandals need no breaking in--the leather is soft and the straps don't rub or press uncomfortably. The adjustable ankle strap is essential to a custom fit.

Super comfortable and yet still really supportive. The leather is soft; the foot bed is well-cushioned with excellent arch support. I tore a tendon in my foot/ankle, so now that foot has a partially fallen arch. I take my arch support very seriously and these sandals have got it going on! The only thing change I would make to the shoes is the velvety footbed and side-sole. While attractive and comfortable, it does not hold up to water very well and a girl can't always predict when it will rain.

I have severely high arches, narrow heels, and a wide forefoot, so I spent years just cramming my feet into whatever shoes would let me. Last year, my podiatrist said I had to stop and recommended Vionic for its arch support. I've slowly turned over my entire shoe collection to Vionic (and Birkenstocks) and being on my feet is so much easier. These sandals in particular are great for my wide forefoot -- very roomy without being loose. The adjustable straps make it easy to get the right level of security. The footbed is probably the best part though because it's soft (read no hot spots from walking in them!) and provides great arch support. Not only did I wear them straight out of the box with no blisters, that day, I walked home 2.5 miles from work with zero problems.

Cute sandal and very comfortable. They are too wide in the front for my more narrow foot.

I LOVE these sandals! I had waited a whole year to buy them. I was hesitant at the price but like my husband says you pay for quality. They are the perfect neutral color AND it feels like walking on pillows. These are my favorite sandals ever!
