Hands down, these are great looking boots. There are some caveats to them being waterproof. Yes, they do keep your feet dry, however, they definitely DO NOT keep them warm. There isn’t any warm lining under the toes where the leather material is and you can definitely tell when standing in extreme cold weather. I started wearing with wool socks and it helped a lot but still not ideal for snow. They also scuff very easily, I’ve only worn them twice with light walking and there a scuff mark on the toe area already. They also run slightly small so go up a half size or full size if you want to wear thick socks.

Wanted to like these but the width was a bit too narrow. Was hoping going with a 9 vs 8.5 I would have gotten a little bit more room. Other than that really nice boot.

These boots are just what I was looking for. They are waterproof and warm. I wore them to work and they were comfortable all day long. A careful choice of socks is a must for the fit and comfort. Overall, an excellent boot keep your feet warm, dry and not to mention stylish.

Love this boot! But, why would Ugg supply extra laces in brown.. for black boots?

I recently bought these along with several different Sorel boots. These were my favorite in terms of fit, comfort, and the promise of warmth due to the fleece linings (shearling on bottom, microfleece on sides). My only complaint is that they are flatter than they appear in the picture, and don't have much support, but i bought a pair of insoles I plan to wear with. Overall - very happy with purchase. I have already worn them and walked around in mud and rain and they performed great...the sole has great grip and they're definitely waterproof.

i was looking for something that was sort of "engineer" style that would hold up to a lot of walking. my similar frye boots have wooden heels that need re-heeling about twice a year. it gets expensive. these feel like my favorite old hiking boots. no break in time needed. the black gives that "street" look, the unique fabric part of the shaft (seems like wool, but they don't really say) gives them just a bit of class. i wish i had a legitimate reason to buy the brown ones too. i disagree that the distressing of the leather is a bad thing. i can never wait for my boots to look authentic. (i don't want to look like a "weekender.") i like the roomy foot box. i am sensitive to shoes that squash the top side of my toes. these fit like i could walk forever in them! though they were designed for cold weather and are waterproof, they still look cool. (i'm sixty seven, but i'm told that i am still cool...) i have fun playing around with the laces. i like to unlace the top few holes and wrap them around the ankle and tie them in the back like i do with combat boots. they look great with a short skirt and tights or skinny jeans tucked in. i love the genuine leather and wool shearling, and the rubber and cork soles. i have wasted too much money down through the years with synthetic materials that make you sweat. i am usually a size seven and a half... i got the size 8 because reviews said they ran small. at a size 8 they fit exactly like those fave hiking boots. the shearling footbed feels great with thin socks, but there is plenty of room for warm winter sox when the weather gets really cold. my first pair of UGGs. i never liked the look of wearing big pillows on my feet, but these have a totally different look. i could go on and on... i almost never write reviews because i am too lazy. but i simply had to take the time to praise these boots, and my husband doesn't want to listen to me expound upon their virtue so i'm cutting loose here. i am so distracted from my agenda today because i am marveling, so i had to write this review just to get the exuberance out of my system. a great value for the money. buy them.

These boots seemed like they would be warm and comfy. They fit well and the leather was nice, but the overall style wasn’t quite what I was looking for.

I loooooved these shoes for two straight years. I have a really hard time finding shoes that are comfortable enough to stand on concrete for ten hours and these fit the bill. Sadly they didn’t last as long as i had hoped and they are seriously falling apart. (They started to come apart a lot sooner but they’re really expensive and should have lasted longer.)

Someone should let you know that these boots are narrow. Please don't waste your money if you do not have a super slim foot, don't try to put them on.
