Stylish, comfortable, dry and warm. It took about a day to break them in, when the shearling was unworn they felt a bit tight but they loosened up to feel true to size quickly. This is a great city "light winter" boot, my husband was working in Europe last year and so we travelled a lot and I wore these boots in multiple European countries all winter long and always felt my boots were stylish and practical. I often wore my son in baby carrier while in these boots and felt confident in my footing on cold but maintained sidewalks. My always cold feet were typically comfortable and warm in these with a thin pair of merino wool socks. I own the black ones and they definitely show grime quickly I needed to wipe off the waterproof leather portion daily and we used some boot polish on the toe a couple times a month. These wouldn't be my pick for more than a light dusting of snow or an activity like sledding but for errands, Christmas markets or city sidewalks in the winter these are my go to for temperatures between 20-50 degrees Fahrenheit.

I purchased these shoes to get me through a cold winter in Ohio. I wanted something that was durable, warm, could deal with extensive walking/standing in different kinds of terrain, but still look somewhat presentable so I could wear them out to dinner with jeans and so forth. These boots were perfect and still my go-to cold weather boot for anything short of snow (haven’t tested them for that yet). They are extremely comfortable; I’ve trudged through mud, pouring rain, rocks, river beds and forests, and each time they can be wiped down and look great again. Very versatile and warm.

These are so great I almost feel bad about making fun of people who wear those really ugly Ugg boots. This is the dream boot - perfect fit, incredibly comfortable, matches everything, warm enough for winter but not too hot indoors. I was looking for an indoor-to-outdoor boot for Minnesota, and this is it. Very waterproof, but still breathes. There is wool on all sides. Worth every last penny - once I purchased them, I wore them nearly every day until the snow melted (and then some). I normally have cold, clammy feet (ew, I know, but we're out here), and these kept me warm all day indoors, and didn't make me sweat at all. You could go sockless, if that's your thing. If you're choosing between rain boots and heavy winter boots (a la Sorels) on the daily, buy these and you won't need either of the other two.

The boots are incredibly warm and a great style! I wore them a couple of times in the snow and they held up well, though I could imagine scratches showing up easily on the leather.

These are hands-down the best shoes I think I’ve ever owned, and I don’t say that lightly. I can dress them up or wear them hiking, they’re waterproof, I can wear them with jeans or with leggings, tucked in or covered over, and I get complements on them every time I wear them. They fit like a warm glove right out of the box, and were perfect for my trip up the Oregon coastline. I wear them every chance I get.

I have had these for a while and I love them!

I wanted a pair of boots that I could wear during the end of the winter season- into early spring in Northern Ontario. Boots that weren’t too clunky and wintry looking. These are perfect ... a bit of heel rubbing on one side but that’s expected I guess with a new pair of shoes. I find they fit true to size.

I recently came home after two weeks in the UK. We were on our feet from sunup to sundown, walking for miles on all kinds of surfaces and standing on hard floors in museums, cathedrals, etc. The weather included everything from cold rainy sleety days to sunny days in the low 40s. These boots were absolutely perfect! I did not have the chance to break them in before we left but it did not matter. With a pair of thin wool socks, my feet were always totally comfortable, warm and dry - plus the traction was great! They are a bit clunky but I never felt out of place in them. Wore them with jeggings and also under straight leg pants and jeans. Side zippers made them easy on/off for air travel. Before I found these I had purchased and returned several pairs of shoes/boots while planning for this trip -- thanks, Zappos, for making that so easy!

I live in Wisconsin and I was looking for a truly waterproof boot for dog walking in the winter. These have been great, my feet are dry even walking through icy puddles. Traction is also decent. I wear them with wool socks and the warmth has been adequate. They are higher than other ankle boots, so to me they feel slightly more heavy and I do feel less ankle motility. I am 8-8.5 in boot and 8.5 in these are fine (my foot is on the narrow side). I have had an issue with PF so I wear these with inserts. Overall, I am happy with these boots, I have a good winter boot that can still be worn to the office with casual clothing.
