Like the natural brown leather. But the shiny sides of the black soles seem not to match that look. Good for hanging around in, maybe not long walks.

While I like the fit and feel of these shoes, they are definitely NOT "Dark Brown" by any objective definition.

I really liked these shoes. I wear an 3E shoe and these were marked 2E. I ordered them anyway because the reviews said the fit a bit wider than marked. This pair felt true to the 2E size. I considered wearing them for a while and hoping they would stretch out a bit. I was willing to take the chance but I thought I should check with someone at Zappos. The agent I spoke to told me that shoes shouldn't have to be broken in and recommended that I return them and pick out a different shoe instead. I did that. Great service and people at Zappos! I've been a satisfied Zappos customer for 12 years. You couldn't ask for a better place to shop for shoes!

Shoes were ok, but too wide in the heel for my wedge-shaped foot.

These shoes fit great. I have had other Skechers and eventually the gel insole loses some of it's spring but that may be the nature of all of these types of insoles. The only thing I subtracted one star from the overall was due to the slightly brushed finish (brown). It looks really sharp when fresh and new, but a few scuffs here and there and they easily lose that great out-of-the-box look. I would say they are an excellent choice for comfort, maybe not so much for long-term finish. Time will tell how much "character" the develop in another few months. I have a three year old pair of Clark Un Ramble Steps with smooth brown leather and although they have some wrinkles, they still look great with a coat of polish. I also have a pair of Merrell Jungle Mocs in Nubuck, which is a similar finish to these, but they don't scuff quite as easily. If you want to save a few bucks, the Skechers are a good choice. If you are willing to spend a few extra dollars, check out the Clarks and Merrells. They are of a bit higher quality in my opinion.

Overall, these are lightweight and comfortable shoes. The only thing that keeps it from being a 5 star review is that there is not much arch support. I fixed the problem with some arch support inserts. The footbed of the shoe can not be removed so I purchased the arch supports inserts alone, not a footbed insert.

Ordered a size 14, extra wide. The width, and from front to back fit very well, no wiggling from side to side or front to back. However, the space between the top of my foot and the tongue of the shoe was sizable enough to make my feet come up and down in the shoe while walking. Had to return.
