a bit wide around the ball of the foot

I have this shoe in many colors and love there support for work and walking in the city. Did not like the lighter tan color.

just be wary on choosing your size - the shoes straps get bigger/looser as you wear them. more so vs. what is normal shoe ware

I have had this style in the past and walked it down to a nubbins after years of wear. The my dog ate one strap and ended the comfort! This shoe was way too wide in the toe area and since it was not adjustable I had to return it. I liked the style and cushioning and the color.

I have found the quality of this sandal to be not as refined as previous pairs. I believe this style is no longer in production, and similar styles are not to my liking. With that said, I have a backup pair purchased on sale for seasons in the future.

Really liked the comfort and overall styling of this shoe. It has several "velcro" strap attachments, which make is convenient for a snug and comfortable fit, however, my feet are bony, and one is slightly smaller. This meant that on one shoe the strap ends would have curled up in several places, and that spoiled the look for me, so I ended up returning.

Really cute and comfy shoe. Unfortunately the strap catches on my little toe. Have to return. As always, Zappos delivers 5 star service!

These sandals are wonderful! No breaking in or strap chafing. Lots of compliments and they are so attractive.

This is a great sandal. Only gripe it the straps across are a bit tight. If you have a normal to thick size foot these may be a bit snug in the beginning. Probably because I need a .5 size bigger and they don't offer them.

This is the closest show Merrell carries to their old San Remo style. Here is the thing, I really miss the all leather of the old style. The fabric strap with the pattern on it really makes just over the "too casual" line for my work but when it was all leather I feel like I could get by. Also, I wish Merrell would add a few more adjustable straps to help make this show work better for wider feet without having to change the footbed itself.

Length of shoe felt appropriate but foot kept slipping out despite tightest placement of straps. Appreciate the multiple points can do adjustment on. Slimming appearance, single grey strap detail nice variation, makes shoe appear lighter. Too bad, really wanted to keep these.

Oh so comfortable that I wore them all day with no problems. Soft sole, takes some adjustment with the multiple straps, at least one of the straps are so long it does not lay flat, but no big deal.

First of all, let me say that I am a solid size 11 and the 11 in this shoe was too big in width and length. The 10 was a perfect fit. The sandal was comfortable but did not offer a huge amount of support. For half the price I would have kept them. But the deciding factor for me was the fabric that touched my ankles felt scratchy. This issue might have resolved over time, but for this price, I was not willing to risk it.

I am pleased with these sandals...I wasn't sure at first because they have 3 velcro fasteners and I envisioned them coming loose when the sandals were worn...but they are very comfortable and the velcro has not come undone while I am wearing them. I simply slip my foot in the sandal and pull the back strap up onto my heel...so I don't have to adjust the velcro straps each time I wear them.

I also had a pair several years ago that were leather - loved them and wore to the point of no return. Could no longer find in stores, so ordered 2 pairs from Zappos. Love the colors, fit (typically wear an 81/2 or 9, but ordered an 8), style (looks good with skirts or pants) and comfort (can wear all day with no problems). BUT - the fabric does not hold up as well as the leather - for price they should last longer - fabric shows wear almost immediately. Please consider bringing back leather or sturdier alternate material.

Lovely to look at, very comfortable, but slightly too big -- the problem with velcro straps, eventually as the sandal straps stretch, the velcro straps extend beyond their mates and it's not possible to tighten them adequately. These would work if the straps allowed for the possibility of actually tightening. Sigh.

Very comfortable. I did not like the peach color because it blended it with my skin color and looked like there was not enough straps. The back part holding the ankle strap was too heavy looking compared to the more dainty front straps over the toes.

Merrell makes the best sandals for those of us who need foot, arch and ankle support. The only downside is that the velcro closures (from my past experience with 4 similar pairs) stop holding after a few months and the straps flap open. I love the comfort so much I take them to a shoe repair shop and get the straps stitched tight.
