I have a difficult time finding shoes that fit well (wide toe-box, narrow heel, higher arches), and spent days searching for shoes that I could wear almost daily in the office and around town. I have a pair of Merrell Moab Mid Hiking Boots that have served me extremely well for four years, and have been extremely comfortable when hiking on slippery mountain gravel, limestone, etc. These All Out Blazer Chukkas seem to have almost as much if not equal traction as my hiking boots, and are *incredibly* lightweight and sturdy. They fit perfectly right out of the box, and also look fantastic - even better than the pictures. They're also very flexible. I'm hoping to get a lot of use out of these, and will likely replace them with the exact same whenever they do finally wear out. Another job very well done by Merrell, and of course, the great service of Zappos that they've delivered for the nearly ten years that I've been ordering from them! Additional info: Foot size is 9.5" and I typically need a "wide." The 7M fit me perfectly, but if you need more than a "W" or "2E," the "M" may be too tight.

They are just what I expected. They are comfortable. Color was well represented.

As a long time consumer of Merrell shoes, I've come to expect a level of quality and resilience. These aren't built to the same tough standards I expect. The glue holding the leather to the sole separated within weeks and progressively got worse. Zappos support replaced them overnight without question. My second pair are holding up after two weeks. So maybe it was a fluke. The leather upper creases very early so don't expect them to remain looking brand new for long but they do get very comfortable after the break in.

I wear orthotic devices in my shoes and need to remove the padded inserts. This particular shoe has the inserts bonded or glued in place and are not removable without ruining the shoe. Kept them in and shoes are a little tight but wearable. Very nice styling and color.

The insert is not removable. I usually throw them away and put my Smartfeet inserts in due to plantars faciitis. This made them even smaller. This shoe is definitely shorter than my other size 12 shoes. There is some arch support but not enough to do away with my insert, but then it was too much with the insert. Argh! I pulled the bottom layer off of my inserts and wear thinner socks and now they feel and fit great. I was disappointed that a permanent crease developed the very first day where your toe bends.

I'll preface this review with an admission that I'm a fan of Merrell footwear. I've owned many different kinds and have always enjoyed them at work, outdoors, and just chilling around the house. With that said, I have to say these are junk because they just don't hold up to basic use. I've gone through two pair - and in the process of returning my 2nd thanks to Zappos I'm not stuck with these. They decided to glue the sole to the upper and this glue does not hold up, leaving your nice leather shoe looking like a hobo shoe in less than a few months of light wear.
