I really like the look and feel of this shoe. It is very solid and stable and allows great traction on long hikes. The ventilation is good as compared to my heavier shoes but I will have to report back on performance on very hot days.
Be advised that this shoe is cut very low around the ankle and the back. I found myself stopping to cinch down the laces a few times to give the shoe a more secure feel.
The size was perfect as always.

Moab Edge Water proof, is a very good looking shoe that can be worn in a variety of venue's and seasons. At work, sport, casual or at play. I like that there are many colors available.

I was excited to receive these shoes and I really liked the red color. I have a narrow heel and a low volume foot that is regular width, so I have difficulty finding supportive shoes that fit well. I had high hopes for these shoes, but they were too narrow and confining in the toe box. The heel fit perfectly and the cushioning was comfortable and supportive. I was sorry to return these due to the uncomfortably narrow toe. If you have a narrow foot from heel to toe, these shoes will probably work for you.

Got these as a light pair of trail shoes and they are just what I needed. Great fit, nice and light, and a better than another pair of brown/grey trail shoes! I got the bright blue, and in case of emergency they will see me from a mile away!

Initially these seem to be a little bit wide. Feet have a bit too much room to slide around than I would prefer. I have noticed this on a previous pair of Merrell boots i purchased a little over a year ago as well. Maybe it's a new fit standard I am not familiar with. Haven't had a chance to really put them through much yet though.

My son is very hard on his shoes, if he can keep a sneaker four months we are doing well. These are not the most stylish, but he reported they are comfortable and they held up well for over 6 months.

These are not the Moabs you’re looking for. Move along, move along. — You loved your leather clad hiking Moab and wanted a lighter weight city walker with the same fit and comfort. Unfortunately, these are not it. Although the Edge has the same styling and identical Vibram soles as the leather clad originals, they are not made on the same lines with the same shoe molds and the variance is huge! And apparently, quality control is not par with the original. The lot I received had the arch support all the way in the back under the heal and felt like I was walking in high-heels. You might get a good pair by chance but repeated returns suck for both Zappos and customers.

I'm in my shoes upwards of 14hours straight most days walking all over a campus environment and standing for extended periods of time. While this shoe is as comfortable as any other that I've owned, they have barely made it two months before the colored overlay is separating from the mesh in places. I realize that I'm harder on footwear than most, so I didn't knock my overall rating down too much for the lack of longevity. Seriously a comfortable shoe, just wish they were a bit tougher.

after owning these shoes for 3 months the soles are beginning to separate from the rest of the shoe. I do wear these daily for work but I expected so much more from a merrel product. They are however, the most comfortable shoes I've had and the Vibram soles provide adequate grib in most weather conditions

I'm in the food delivery business so I need a shoe that won't wear out so fast going up and down the ramp and the vibram holds up better than regular soles BUT the insole wears out with 2 months and that's wearing the shoes for 9+ hours Mon-fri. The out side of the shoe holds up good it handles like a 6 in wet surfaces . For the price the outside and bottom of the shoe is good but if you buy these make sure you get you a good pair of insoles.

Fit was ok, but not as comfortable as other hikers I have work- plastic feel
Looks fine and the treads are solid- slippery though
Worst part is the defect / lack of water-resistance of the sole
Even a small amount of moisture on the road surface (not even puddles) will seep into the shoe
I have never seen this in a shoe before. Hikers or not. I would not recommend this product

Recently purchased a MOAB. Have had good luck with Merrell in the past, but this pair has caused instant foot pain. Have worn them for two weeks now and have to go buy something else. I am a letter carrier with Canada Post and walk an average of 20 Km's per day.
Not sure what changed but whatever it is , it no longer works for me

Lace loop snapped off after wearing the shoes about five times.

My new MERRILL shoes fell apart within a couple of days. The problem is i am 300mi away from home on a job, with only (1) pair of shoes - those new MERRILLs. The customer service rep. solved my problem easily... I am a SUPER HAPPY customer for LIFE, thanks ZAPPOS!

These are absolutely the worst Merrell shoes that I've ever worn. After just a couple hours, there are many pains in the heels, arches and calves. Even Dr. Scholls inserts cannot combat the pain along with thick socks.

Very disappointing shoe in terms of wear. My son wore them for a couple months and the sole separated from the shoe. He has worn Merrills before and not had a problem. This style didn't wear well at all. Too bad since he said they were comfortable.

This shoe does not breath. Made my feet really hot. I bought these for a trip overseas initially they were really comfortable but after eights hours on a plane and walking a few miles they proved to be less than desirable. The heel is high causing a lot of stress on your calves. I'm not happy about this purchase.
