I'm disappointed in the Gallatin 2.0 I had the old Gallatin shoe, and it was constructed of supple comfortable leather. This shoe is much more rigid, especially at the heel. It's killing my achilles and after a day of walking, there are holes in my socks! Ouch. Why, Trask shoe people did you screw up a comfy shoe?

Great looking shoe! I can wear these both for business as well as for casual outings. The leather lining and soft footbed are features I could not find at the local mall.

I gave a negative review of these shoes in Bourbon. In Walnut, they are great. Durable full grain leather with a durable finish. They are "reverse leather," like classic hiking boots.

Trask is my new favorite brand. After purchasing the Gulch for the Holidays and looking at my wardrobe and footwear needs I decided to purchase two pair of the Gallatin. I reached for the Walnut, this color is so versatile and goes with all my casual and dress clothing, then with the need for a second pair I grabbed one in black. Wow! What a amazing shoes. Great comfort and after wearing for a month they still look brand new. Then there is all the compliments. My next stop will be a pair of their sneakers. Barbecue season is around the corner. Great shoes and a great brand. Zappos, you are the best! Thank you!

I have an old pair in brown. Always loved them. These just seem to be too bulky. They're like boots instead of shoes.

The Gallatine 2.0 looks great, but has some weird heal cushion that is 1/2" to 3/4" thick. The cushion prevents your foot from fully going into the shoe and gives a strange arch to your foot. The Gallantine 2.0 seems like its a high heal shoe for a man that is not very comfortable.

Great workmanship and quality, and they're marketed like the shoes are manufactured in the US. They are not, ... they are manufactured in India. For a premium brand like Allen-Edmonds you get all of that along with support in the USA, at virtually the same price. The only difference is style, and if Allen-Edmonds offered a similar product I'd buy it. I've requested the 11.5 hoping that it will give a bit more width space. We'll see ...

I owned Trask's Gallatins before the company folded and the brand was reborn. They were great shoes--made from bison leather, wore like iron, comfortable. The Gallatin 2.0s look great like my old Gallatins, and they are comfortable. I would give 5 stars, but the dye is only on the surface, and it scuffs off to bare leather extremely easily. (This review regards Gallatin 2.0s in "bourbon," which are purportedly bison leather. I cannot say whether it applies to the other colors, which are cow leather.)
