Great boot to wear. Size down.

Just pulled them out of the box and put them one. If any issues, I'll update review. I usually wear a size 13 but am probably closer to a 12.5, but no one makes a 12.5, so 13 it is. I bought these in a 12 and they're plenty big enough even to wear with thick socks and an insole if you wanted. Width is great. Laces are short if you go to the top hook and I have standard feet, not skinny, not fat. Nice wide toe box too, not too wide that I'm sliding, just wide enough that my toes have room to move and breathe.

These are classic Redwing boots. Definitely runs large. I sized a full size down from tennis shoes and half size down from other boots. I normally wear a 9.5 in Vans/Jack Purcells, 10 in Nike, 9 in Alden. Tried on a 9 in the Redwing store, but felt loose with dress socks, doesn't get too cold in SoCal, don't wear boot socks very much. Tried on a 8.5 and it felt perfect. Ordered a 8.5 through Zappos. It took about a week for the boot to break in while on my feet all day (just bit the bullet). I almost didn't make it as by the end of each day, my foot was swollen to where it was super uncomfortable. I thought about exchanging for a 9, but glad I kept at it as they are way more comfortable after the initial break in period. I definitely like the lug Vibram sole over the other soles as the Vibram provides more traction on rain/snow. The laces do seem a little short, but long enough for me to tie them. It's harder to tie all the way up while wearing thicker socks. Love these boots!

These are great, high quality boots that I plan on keeping for years to come. I normally wear a 9.5 and had to drop to an 8. They take some breaking in but once they are, you won't be able to taken them off.

These boots are the best. Spend the money folks. I waffled on these guys for a while and it was a mistake. I usually wear a 13. Per other reviews I purchased a 12. The felt a little snug width wise but after about a week and a good oiling they fit like a glove. I've had them a few weeks now but they are getting broke in to the point they are perfect. The materials are all high quality. These boots will last. Not to mention everyone tells me how nice they are, who doesn't like that. Some reviewers mention the laces are not long enough. I had trouble the first couple times when they were stiff but after I piled them and wore them a couple times they lace all the way up no trouble. Buy these boots. Just do it.

Great color. Superb construction. Lug sole is excellent for rain/snow regions. Get half to full size smaller than you usually wear. Love these!

The best boots I have ever owned, hands down. Made in the USA, excellent attention to detail, and high quality materials. Worth every penny. They definitely run large, so order at least a half or full size smaller than your normal size.

Beautiful boots I have gotten several complements in the office.I have only been wearing them for a week know.little to no break in time. It's true out of the box the laces are too short.

Red Wing makes a great boot hands down. Tough, supportive, great look. The Vibram sole really adds something to the traditional Iron Ranger. Super comfortable from the moment I slide them on. They need their break in period but these are in heavy rotation with my other boots immediately. Excellent boots for all your needs whether it is work or just going out.

Break-in can be a bit rough. Double socks and the Red Wing oil helps a lot. I've just passed the year mark, wearing these every work day as a construction Project Manager. They hold up well, and look good in meetings.

I’ve been trying for find a pair that fits but these boots vary so much in sizes

Definately a high quality boot. Since the soles extend 1/4" on each side, thus 1/2" is lost in width, it is recommended that a normal M width must be ordered in a Wide width.

Suggested to size down a full size. Didn't believe it so went down 1/2. Returned for a 1/2 size small and sure enough, perfect fit! Not much arch support, but very supportive. Stiff at first, but that was expected. Worn around the house for almost a week and every day they are getting better and better. I believe in another week they will be perfect. Old school, break them in and you will love them! I ordered a set of THIN leather insoles from Amazon and they could use just a bit more cushioning. Again, one broken in I think they will be best boots ever. Also, heavier, than most "modern" boots, but I believe will pay off in many years of wear. Remains to be seen if $350 for a pair of boots is worth it, but seems good after a week.

These are great looking boots, but didn't fit me in the instep area. Had to return them.

Couldn't get any of 3pairs that I tried to fit me. 2felt too large and the 3rd too small. Love redwing shoes, definitely will try different model.

The 8085 CRT I recently ordered came in the same color as my 8111 Amber Harness. Labels confirmed it was 8085. So be aware that the color Copper Rough & Tough or 8085 may vary from the images you see on the net.

Why do the Iron Rangers not fit true to the size of several other Red Wing Boots that I own? Other than that the boots are spot on. Break in isn’t as bad as expected.

I bought these for my husband. He is normally a size 11 and I had to get him a size 10 wide as he felt the regular ones were too narrow

These boots look great and are holding up well after a year. They are not the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn, but they are great boots nevertheless.

Great looking but could tell it would not be comfortable walking for a while until the leather broke in

These are really high quality, stylish boots. They're taking a while to break in, so expect some discomfort at least the first month of wearing them. They also run bigger than I'm used to. I normally buy size 11.5 or 12 sneakers for a reasonably tight fit, whereas size 11 in these boots is still pretty roomy for me. That said, I'm really happy with the purchase, love how these look and expect the high quality will last for years and keep looking better as they break in.

The boots are solid and look great, definitely. Personally, they felt 1.5 sizes bigger than usual. I'm a size 10 normally and kept the 9, and it still feels a bit loose. Probably could have gone with the 8.5, but just laced them very tight. I've yet to break them in, but based on everything I've read, these end up being very comfortable once they mold to your feet. Style and quality wise, very solid purchase!

These ran too narrow for me. After multiple attempts to get the toe box widened I ended up having to sell them. Too bad as these boots look incredible!

I'll start by saying I've never received so many compliments on footwear in my life. These are some very stylish boots and probably deserve the sticker price. That being said, they take quite a bit of time to break in (a couple weeks in my experience) and they have zero insulation, so they won't keep your feet warm in sub-zero temps.
