Best/most comfortable booties I've bought to date. Like another reviewer said, these were completely comfortable right out of the box. I've worn them several times and they are definitely my new favorite fall shoe. I ordered the black, because that was the color I needed, but now I'm considering ordering the brown suede ones too - even though I have another brand in that style. The heel height is perfect to give you some lift, but doesn't affect the walkability. My one bit of feedback is that normal ankle socks show, due to the low v in the front, so you need to wear sock liners. I also wish the inner lining was actually leather, I would have paid more for that.

Comfort and style are there. However, today I wore these in a light drizzle and my feet are wet inside the boot. I felt the inside of the boot at the toe box. Definitely wet. I know these are not rain boots but it was a light rain and I don't get my feet wet in other shoes or boots. Not pleased!

Fabulous! So comfortable, so stylish. I seriously love these boots. FYI - they do have a distressed look at the toe. Also, if you want to wear them with socks, you'll need the extra low-cut "sport" style socks (regular ankle socks are visible). Just wish these were cheaper so I could justify getting the black pair, too.

Super cute boot. Very comfy and stable for walking. However....I have a high instep and these boots were too tight in that area. I have these boots in an 8 in taupe and while I wear them for a few hours at a time, they never stretched enough to make them comfortable for all day wear. I tried an 8.5 in the black because I love my taupe ones so much but, alas, the instep was still too tight so I had to return them. If your foot has a moderate arch/instep then give these a try. You won't be disappointed.

And so the quest for perfect black booties continues! These seemed ideal; excellent padding, quality leather, comfortable heel, and stylishly on trend. Alas, they rub uncomfortably on my ankle bones; perhaps because the leather is so thick and substantial. For reference, I have slim, boney ankles. Fabulous booties but the rubbing is a deal breaker. Return process is quick and easy - thank you Zappos, love ya!

I am in love with these boots. They look great and are comfy. I wear them daily and am on my feet a lot. They dont hurt by the end of the day. They are loose around my heel but I think thats unique to me. Otherwise the fit is good. Highly recommend!

I wear 8.5 normally and the 8.5 was a perfect fit. I do prefer to wear these boots with boot cut jeans. I did try them with skinny jeans and they didn't look right on me. I do love the boots and will keep them.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Heel height is perfect. This is the color I have been searching for. Now I wish there were more colors in this boot! I would like it even more if the it were tighter around the ankle.

I tried out numerous pairs of ankle boots in my search for the perfect pair (5 different pairs with this last Zappos order), and of all of those, these were the pair I ended up keeping. They are comfortable and versatile, and although I needed ankle boots to wear with my growing collection of wide leg pants, these look good with skirts and skinny jeans even with my long, skinny legs (which are normally a problem for ankle boots). The color is also quite nice, though it's not as reddish as they appear on this website: more of a light, tawny nude shade. The dark brown heel and outsole make a really attractive contrast. As for size and feel, I'm normally an 8-8.5 usually 8.5 with boots but I tried these in an 8 and they fit very well. Not too loose with nylons, but enough room left for thick socks. The ankle openings don't rub me at all, and the foot bed is lightly cushioned. Very glad to have finally found a pair that work for me!

I have been on the hunt for comfortable, cute black booties for ages. After trying and rejecting over a dozen pairs, I found these and can finally stop the search. These boots are amazingly comfortable - I am by no means a heels kind of girl, but I barely notice the height on these, thanks to their stability and well-padded soles. They also are super versatile and look great with skinny jeans/pants, skirts, dresses, leggings, etc. So glad to have found these! Thank you, Born and Zappos!

These boots do feel amazing, you barely notice the heel height. I will agree with a previous reviewer, however, that the leather is a little shiny and the toe a little too round. BUT, I've decided to keep them anyway because they're a good mixture between dressy and casual. They look great with jeans, and I think the leather will wear in.

I guess I was expecting more, given all the positive reviews, but this boot was just OK, nothing special. The sides rubbed oddly against my ankle and there could have been more cushioning in the footbed.

The boot is much lighter than it appears in the picture. The picture looks like a rich light whiskey color. The boot is actually pale, more like a mushroom color. Also the edge of the boot, where the sole is attached to the upper, was very sloppily stitched and awkward looking. I expected more from Born. That said, they were very comfy right out of the box. Unfortunately the color and sloppy stitching was a deal breaker and I'm sending them back.

Typically wear a 7 in boots. These were so tight around the heel, so returned for a 7.5. Unfortunately, these were so big, they slipped. So disappointed.

Really cute and comfortable. I even ended up getting my mom a pair because if I didn’t, I’m pretty sure she was going to steal mine. I can walk all day in them and be completely fine.

I bought these boots for my globe-trotting 20 something daughter, after she thrashed a pair of similar boos by Born that I had passed down to her on the cobblestones of Prague. They look nice with everything. She loves them and I miss my old pair because I loved that pair too. I will certainly be buying more Born boots.

Boot is high at ankle and rubs. I like the look but uncomfortable with the rubbing.

LOVE this boot! They are soooo comfy and don’t even feel like you’re in heels. I have narrow feet and usually wear a 9.5, they only had a 9 but I’m glad I went down half a size because they fit perfect!

I have a little obsession with finding the perfect casual bootie & I finally found my favorite! I just ordered my second pair because my first have gotten a little worn after wearing them so much & I wanted a nicer looking pair for an upcoming trip. I love them with skinny jeans & just a tiny bit of ankle exposed (so either slightly shorter pants or a little cuff works.) They have become my go to shoe for months. Super comfortable right from the start & cute yet casual. Heel is perfect height & I can wear them all day/night. I just wish they came in a beige/sandy color for a lighter option too!

Ordered in size 11 and it fits perfect. The leather is very nice, very comfortable. These are my go to boots now. Goes with pretty much any outfit. Love these shoes.

These booties are super cute with pants or skirts! The footbed is comfortable, but the leather was initially pretty stiff and took some breaking in (about 3-5 wears) to feel fully comfortable for all day wear. I'm on my feet for my entire workday, so the initial stiffness was more noticeable than it might have been if I had a desk job. Since I've broken them in, they are great and I can wear them all day, so totally worth it!

I am obsessed with these booties. I’ve worn them almost every day since I got them, I want the black distressed pair now!!
