I don't understand the negative reviews that state that they can't get their feet in the opening. The elastic gives plenty and those loops are functional to pull the opening apart to get your clod hopper in. If they left the opening too big then the shoe would slip off while you are walking. Bottom line I love these boots and I have been wearing work boots daily for over 30 years. I have no complaints about this boot and have bought additional pairs. I have included a before and after photo and you can see that I am not easy on my equipment. I basically wore the sole down to nothing and I might get the old pair resoled. On the other hand at this price you can just buy another pair. Any potential pros and cons one might have are obvious to the design. If you need ankle support or a shoe that ties tight, get something else. If you often go back and forth from dirty and dangerous conditions to clean conditions these are perfect to slip on and off quickly.

These are awesome. They may seem too firm at first feel BUT Slip them on and within 30 minutes of wearing them its as if they have molded around my foot! I feel very sure footed walking through anything! I am a Realtor in the mountains and am walking through new construction to homes with fine finishes on floors and they dont mark are scuff AND its easy to knock the mud off the soles if they get muddy! The tread is big enough NOT to hold dirt and drag it all over the house. Love these shoes! Love GA BOOT! I have a pair of lace up boots that match this shoe and I have had them for almost 20 years and I CANNOT wear them out!

My husband loves these! The only issue he has is driving in them - and they'll be a little too warm for anything but cold weather. Regardless, they did very well this winter on snow and ice.

These shoes are sturdy enough for visiting a construction site, but stylish enough for an office meeting. They are not quite tall enough for my high arch, and can bruise the top of my foot after a long day. And I’d prefer them in black. But overall, they have become my go to shoes and I’ll probably buy another pair.

This shoe is great! A little heavy, but that's to be expected with a steel toe. It's roomy, which is saying a lot as my feet are really wide! The opening is pretty narrow, but if you just jam your foot past that, it fits great! I like the style and so I'm going to try the boots next.

The fit and width was perfect. As noted in a few other reviews the opening to get your foot inside is small so you will have to tug on the tabs to get your foot inside the shoe. That is because this model is a slip-on type safety shoe. It has to hug the foot in order to provide safety and not fall off your foot. Once the shoe is on they are very comfortable and true to size. I'm OK with having to wrestle a little to get my foot past the smaller top opening in order to be safer shoe. They come off easy when you're ready to take them off.
