The Ecco Biom shoe is the most comfortable, shock absorbing shoe I own. I think the key is the shank in the midsole that provides stability and support. The result is a shoe that is not "pillowy" soft, overly flexible. My foot feels solidly in place while the multiple layers of cushioning material absorb shock. I have moved to the Ecco Biom from Mephisto for my walking shoe. Check out the info on their construction at the global.ecco.com web site. I don't work for Ecco, I am just so happy to have found a shoe that makes walking so comfortable.

Comfortable right out of the box. These are my second pair and they have been great. I am 58 and have some foot issues due to arthritis, these shoes let me work on my feet all day. Will hope to order again when these wear out!

These are my very favorite running shoes. I am not a runner so I don't use them in that way, but I wear them just about every day and exercise and am very active. ECCO makes great shoes and this is not exception. I've enjoyed two different year models of this shoe and both are outstanding.

These replace a nearly identical pair that I wore down. Like nearly all Ecco shoes I've tried, they are well constructed and feel wonderful. I don't run, but walk five miles on concrete with comfort. Over a period of 10 years or so, I have acquired 13 pair that range from sneakers to trainers to office dress shoes ... they're that good.

Rock star walking shoes! Finally - after trying Skechers, Rockports, etc, these are fantastic! Just finished an 8 mile walk - my feet are thanking me for sticking with Eccos.

I am not a runner but these are wonderful walking shoes. Also, they look nothing like any other runners. Sleek not clunky.

Bought these for an upcoming trip around Europe with lots of walking predicted. Husband loves them and says they're the most comfortable shoes he's had. Sporty, yet with an urban look.

Really nice sneaker. Fits well comfortable but I have neuropathy from Diabetes so finding something perfect for my feet are difficult but they are well made. I wear ECCO shoes and love them. Give them a try. If you are a 12 you may want to consider 13 instead. I had to.

I really like these shoes. I bought them for going on walks. The sizing is spot on. I would buy again in another color.

These are wonderful, quality sneakers. They are light weight and supportive. Ecco is a great product in that the fit is great and that they make a size 14.5 which fit my son perfectly.

Very supportive shoe; great for all-around outdoor use. Good-looking enough to wear around town and would probably hold up well for light hiking etc. Love the fact that Ecco includes two colors of laces; the orange gives the shoe a nice bit of style.....

Here's a direct quote from my generally unemotional husband when he put these shoes on: "I LOVE THESE!" He likes his Ecco dress shoes a lot, but we weren't sure whether these slim-looking shoes would fit his somewhat wide feet. We picked the same size as his other Ecco shoes, and they fit perfectly. The insole is especially comfortable, and the shoes are better-looking than a lot of athletic shoes. He's VERY happy with them.

Really, really comfortable. Thought I'd try a different brand that turned out not to be comfortable. I returned then for these Ecco shoes. Paid a bit more, but it was worth it. I always seem to be extremely pleased with Eccos. I have dress, golf and running Eccos. High quality.

I have bought quite a few Ecco shoes, from fishing sandals, to athletic/gym shoes, or hiking boots. All have been good. I took these Ecco Sport Biom Fjuel Racers out of the box, put them on, and hardly wanted to take them off. Like my other ECCOs, they are great so far. The pair they replace has been on my feet near daily at the clinic and often every where I go otherwise. They were comfortable and tough, bought at Zappos, and well worth the money, more dollars actually than these. This pair is more comfortable. I am here now actually thinking about buying another pair so I will have them on hand. Great product, great companies in my experience, both Ecco and Zappos. I will be back!

Only about two weeks in on this purchase, but all indications thus far point to another quality product from Ecco. Pretty much ready to wear out of the box, the cushioning is generous and the arch support is good, but not overdone. Width is about a perfect D. If anything, it may shade just ever so slightly to the narrow side. The European to U.S. size conversion was dead-on for my size (47). The synthetic cloth-like portion of the uppers seems to be extremely durable. What appears as the stripes in these pictures is a rubbery type substance that has been impregnated deep into the cloth. It is not apparent from the pictures, but while these stripes are certainly the charcoal grayish color described, they also have a slight metallic greenish hue to them when viewed in the right light. All in all, a good, comfortable pair of shoes.

All of my shoes are Ecco including my golf shoes and this is the first pair I don't like! The arch support is overkill to the point of that's all your conscious of is this arch almost pressing up into your foot. The tongue seems to be slightly offset to the side and seems like should be longer. Overall not a good running/walking shoe for me and I should have sent it back immediately but since I'm such a big Ecco fan I didn't and ultimately got I'd of them.

I have had my Ecco Biom's for several years now. IN total, for Ecco only I keep six pair in total. There are only about 3 separate vendors that I am able to wear. M In the previous 27.6 years I have suffered with chronic pain that will not diminish despite what activities I use to stay busy doing what I am able. Sitting in a sedentary vocation only seems to exacerbate the pain that I have suffered with. The other two characters that returned to the vehicle. According to the character the second other timeside during the previous 4 months I have went through several surgical procedures to decrease the amount of opiates that I need to take daily without any sense of relief.

I buy a lot of Ecco shoes, including sports shoes. Unfortunately, this shoe is my least favorite...primarily due to the fact that it is very difficult to get on my feet. Very odd but even if you loosen the laces, these things just have to be jammed on my feet. Once on, they're okay but the overall rating in my opinion is pretty low

Let me start by saying I LOVE Ecco shoes. I have about 6 pair of their golf shoes, 2 dress shoes, and 4 every-day shoes in different styles. I just bought the Ecco Cool 2.0 for both golf and walking & these shoes are GREAT! I tried my hand and the Ecco Biom Fjuel and, while they were very comfortable, they have the annoying trait of the tongue that wants to slide all the way down to the side of your foot. They do have the little loop in the middle, but that doesn't do much. Ecco should consider the little eye-lit that Brooks Running shoes uses on the tongue that keeps their tongues in place when you run (or even just walk.) Too annoying for me so I had to return this pair after just wearing them once to the gym. I still love Eccos, but not this particular pair of running shoes....

For the price, I was pretty disappointed in these shoes. They don't offer enough arch support, and there's a strange pocket of air in the lower back portion that causes my heel to rub against the shoe with every step. I'm developing new calluses, but is that really the point with fancy sneakers like these.
