I love these jeans. A great alternative to the skinny jean. They are super comfy and stretchy. Almost like leggings feel. I bought the smitten color and after receiving them I immediately ordered the grey color. I'm 5'9 134lbs and the 28 is perfect. The size charts say I could do a 27....but think they would be a little to clingy for me. Give them a try...as we all know Zappos Rocks!

Love AG Jeans! I usually wear the Angel boot cut but wanted a straight leg that I could also roll up for a crop. The Harper is the perfect fit. I'm 5'11 and length is just right although it would work also if you do not need the length. They are expensive but totally worth the money. Zappos service is amazing, here in 2 days!

I love the fit (high enough / not too high). I love the color (dark enough / not too dark). I did not read the description well enough - with 98% cotton, I was not expecting the stretch in the fabric, which is not really my style, but I liked everything else about them so I kept them. I would like to buy another pair in a more natural cotton (not stretchy).

I am in love with these jeans. One reviewer said they were so comfortable, like leggings, but I was skeptical. But they are great. They are long enough (I am 5'11") but not skin tight like the legging jeans. The waist is just the right height - not too high but not too low where you are always pulling them up!

These jeans were really nice. However, while they fit in the leg there was a gap in the back of the waist. Because of this, I could not justify keeping for the price. I am not sure I it is the style of the jeans - I am not curvy but more strait and that may be the issue. Anyway, considering ordering a size down to see if they fit better. The material was stretchy and comfortable - easy to see myself traveling in these!

True to size. Just enough stretch - doesn’t stretch out while wearing like so many jeans do.

These are fantastically comfortable and the extra length in the inseam is great for my long legs.

I am kind of picky when it comes to jeans. I usually avoid skinny jeans because I don't like the feel or look of jeans that are too tight. And, I need a mid to high waist for muffin top issues. But, I wanted a pair of "skinnier than straight leg" jeans to wear with boots. My previous favorites were Paige Hidden Hill straights but these have been harder to find lately. These are my first pair of AG Jeans, and I am in love. They are SO soft and comfortable, have the perfect fit along the thigh and calf, and hit just the perfect spot at my waist. They are the first pair of jeans I've had that I can lounge around all day in...as comfortable as sweatpants. The color is great...can go from casual to dressy. I also did what another reviewer did and immediately went and bought another pair in gray!

I love these jeans. At first I wasn't wild about the bit of stretch in the fabric but now I love it. The rise is perfect, the color is perfect, the length is perfect.

I love the prima mid-rise cigarette by AG, and I was looking for a backup pair to the medium / dark wash ones that I regularly wear. I didn't see a similar pair, so I thought I'd give the Harper a try. I would say the size is spot on with my primas. I usually wear a size 26 in Paige and AG Stilt, however my primas are a 25, which is what I purchased in these. The size 26 was too big in the Harper. First of all, these Harpers do amazing things for the backside! I wasn't sure about the skinny straight fit (does this fit accentuate my hips bc they taper in at the knee then slightly straighten out?) and they have a longer inseam than I'm used to. Now I love them. I did a web search for ways to roll the hem on straight-leg jeans and now do a sort of messy half roll with them. I've worn them with oversized plaid shirts from Madewell; a half-tuck. I've worn them with ankle booties and the Birkenstock Gizeh. Also, the fabric on these is divine. Perfect stretch, no bagging out, and just super comfy. All in all, an investment purchase. AG jeans last forever if properly cared for (wash inside out, cold water, hang dry).

The Harper is my new favorite jean style. I'm very tired of skinnies and wanted the freedom to wear jeans that weren't too restricting. This jean is straight leg that is more fitted in the hips and thighs and falls to a straight leg. Great with flats, booties or heels. I have the smitten wash and a more distressed wash. The denim in the Smitten wash has a little more give than the 5+ year washes.

I bought my regular size, and it was too small. Tight and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I had to return the denim, although it was really nice!!
