I fell in love with these Birkenstock Gizeh sandals in the Stardust Stone color from the photos. However, when I received them, I realized the faded silver color was covered in an iridescent, sparkly coating that was a little too girly, as in my 6 y/o daughter's form of girly, for my liking. Returning for another color.

Please be aware that the toe piece is made from hard solid plastic. I bought these a year ago (or maybe two). I'm a huge Birkenstock fan (wide feet, high instep, arthritis in my feet even though I'm young) and have 8 pairs in different styles. I love all of them, but these ones are the ones that haunt me. The hard plastic between the toes doesn't soften up and doesn't show mercy. They look super cute and feminine, but I wish the piece was leather or soft somehow. I won't buy another pair of Gizehs unless they change this hard plastic feature. I wore these to the mall yesterday and the whole time was irked by the plastic toe divider. I hope they fix this; the sandal is very pretty. I'm finally writing this review with the hope that it helps another woman or two.

Love this style, Have bought two manifestations of this particular style and next summer will probably buy a few more ( especially if I encounter a nice soft turquoise suede...hint hint) Great summer casual shoe.

I bought these for my pregnancy and they were awesome for my tired feet! The only sandal I could wear all day without pain! I wear a size 6 always and the 36 could have fit better if you ask me but that is the smallest I could find. That being said they still had excellent support.

my daughter loves this sandal in the stardust black. A little more blingy than I thought it would be. But apparently that's 'the look' for the high school boho crowd. I admit I borrow them sometimes to be the cool mom. . ..

Birkenstocks... what more can I say!? Literally the only sandals I wear in the summer. These have a part that comes between your big toe and second toe. At first it is a little unusual, cause it is hard plastic, but you quickly get used to it. I have a pair of this sandal in a different color that has lasted me three summers of constant wear. Still as comfy! I can not say enough about Birkenstock, as well as Zappos. I was shipped the wrong sandal size and color when I ordered this sandal. A quick email to Zappos and within and HOUR they had responded back, saying they would ship the replacement out that same day. Incredible!!

I should have paid more attention to the reviewer that said "sparkles" - love these and they are so so comfortable. I have another pair of Gizeh as well but these are covered in tiny little rainbow sparkle dots. If you know the book Rainbow Fish, it's just like that. All over. Would be perfect just silver and black shiny. Too bad - going back.

Absolutely love these shoes! First off, they are super comfortable. I've had no issues with the toe piece being uncomfortable or rubbing as some other reviews mentioned. I'd been having some aching in my ankle and these shoes seem to have alleviated it. I bought the stardust stone color and couldn't be happier with the sparkle; however, if you don't like sparkle I would recommend a different color.

Long time Birkenstock lover. My daughter finally succumbed as well. She is rocking this pair at High School. The Stardust Black is a bit bright for me, but apparently a hit among her friends. And now that her foot has stopped growing, I'm fine with shelling out the $$ for a good pair of sandals.

Love the Gizeh. Super comfortable. Love the worn silver look.

These are my 2nd pair of Birkenstocks. Can't say enough how much I love them. I have plantar fasciitis and loose ligaments in my feet. I've worn other orthotics and these are truly the best. The fun colors are great!

The color is too "blingy" for my needs. Gizeh, however, is a great style. I already own 3 pairs. The thong doesn't irritate because the adjustable instep strap is high enough on my foot that the shoe doesn't slip around. This is a safety feature, as well, preventing "walking out," as with some sandals. Just wish they came in Pewter or a darker Silver.

Beautiful sandal. Have worn this style for years, but this pair didn't feel good between the toes. They are going back.

This is my fourteen pair of sandals, love this style would not wear any thing else. Zappos is wonderful to deal with, will keep buying from them.

I'm recovering from a pretty bad foot injury and need a lot of support as well as plenty of toe room. I was hesitant to buy Birkenstocks because I've never really thought of myself as that type of person. I was so wrong. These are wonderful shoes. Comfortable, supportive, and surprisingly cute. Love the extra sparkle. I'm a convert!

I wore Birkenstocks 35 years ago and now am going back to them! Very comfortable and cute shoes which support the natural structure and function of the feet. I tried the Black Stardust model also and felt it was too shiny sparkly. If you are at the lower end of the US size range, I would size down 1 European size.

Birks are always comfortable with great arch support. Love this mottled gold color because they are a little dressier. I'll be wearing them as soon as the snow melts!

My first pair of Birks. They are stiff at first and have required some breaking in. There's no way I'd do a lot of walking in them. While they have a lot of great support, the sole is really hard. I've found that the soles of my feet hurt after wearing them. I just wish they were a little softer. I love this style though!

The Gizeh is my favorite Birk sandal, but I agree with the earlier review that said this shoe has a bit "too much bling" for my tastes. The photos here make it seem like the shoe has a weathered, somewhat metallic look, but in person, it's very shiny and looks like it's covered in specks of glitter. I don't hate them enough to return them, but I thought it was worth posting a review so others can be aware these look quite different in person.

These shoes are very comfortable and super cute, but I am disappointed in how they held up. The cork on both shoes has cracked and they are only a couple months old. I can take them to be repaired, but for $100 sandals, I would expect them to hold up for at least one season.

They state that these are for narrow and normal, they arent. I have never purchased a wide in any shoe but on these I would have needed the option. Truly disappointed, they are a cool design.

This was my first pair of Birks and I was really hoping that they would help with some of my foot issues. The footbed felt amazing on the feet but after only a few steps I realized that the thong between the toes was downright painful. It was not just casually irritating but it was absolutely painful. Sadly, they have to go back.
