My first pair of Birkenstocks! Hoping the hurt on top of my foot goes away in time so I don't have to give them to my daughter. May have worn them too long the first 2 days, as that bone on the top of my foot swelled up and they hurt. I bought them hoping they would be good for my plantar fasciitis and Achilles heel problems. Am a size 9 N and the 39 seems to be my size. I got my fit at the shoe store before ordering them. Hope they work out, as I love the look and so far, partial comfort.

I love the look and style of these sandals; however, after wearing them for a while, they became uncomfortable in the toe area. I keep wearing them hoping it will get better. The soft bed Birks are much more comfortable without the accentuated bump in toe area. Overall I will keep them but my next pair will definitely be soft bed sandals.

For Birkenstocks these are pretty good looking, do not think birkenstocks are "good looking" shoes. They are comfortable which is the main reason I purchased them.

These are beautiful, but if you have a wide foot, they will be slightly narrow. If I could get them in 39 (regular), I would order them again.

So, I was crazy for these shoes, saved up to buy them, and bought them the second they came back in stock. Now that I actually have them, I'm more than a little disappointed. The gold buckles look really cheap, and are already a little tarnished. The white upper is plastic and has this synthetic, white fuzzy backing on the underside that will get dirty easily and definitely cannot be cleaned. And the entire sole on the bottom of the shoe is white so I imagine this will look pretty nasty if you wear them outside. Overall, I don't see this sandal lasting through the summer, which is completely unacceptable for a Birkenstock shoe. Size-wize, I wear an 8 and I ordered the narrow 8-8.5 and it fits pretty well, maybe *slightly* on the large size.
