I thought I had found the unicorn pair of unembellished distressed tall boots - no laces or fringe or extra straps. I usually am a solid size 7 but listened to the reviews and ordered a 7-1/2(I have two othe pair of tall BedStu boots). Even with both zippers undone, I couldn’t stuff my foot in while wearing basic socks (because that’s when one wears boots, right? When it’s cool enough to need socks?). With tights or bare feet, I could zip them up all the way, but barely. There is NO WAY anyone with average calves will be able to wear these with skinny jeans. The leather is solid, thick and rigid, so gaps quite a bit at the top on the outside of my legs -see photo. I hope that with honest wear, things might soften up a bit? Bearing with the foot-binding sensation while sitting around the house for a while, to see if they will break in, or whether they need to go back - stay tuned.

The color is beautiful. As with all bedstu products, it’s unique. I love the back zip which helps me, since I have larger calves. Size is good. They are currently stiff. I have the Motos also and they are great. I tried Manchester and those are very difficult to pull on and more narrow. Love these Glayes

Beautiful boot! Excellent quality! Need a 1/2 size larger - runs small. Unfortunately the size I need is no longer available, otherwise would have definitely re-ordered :-(

Love, love, love the look of these boots. I wish the sizing wasn't so bad. I am normally a 9.5 to a 10 and I am now going to have to wait for an 11 to come back into stock to see if that is ridiculously big or whether that fits like a 10. I really wish Bed Stu could have more accurate sizing and put a little padding in the footbed. If they got that right, this shoe company would have me as a life longer customer. I can't emphasize enough how good they look.

I sized up half size based on other reviews. The calf is snug & I have average size calves. The back zipper made it workable. I’m hoping they stretch a little. The leather quality is excellent & the design is very stylish!

My search for the perfect boot is finally over! It's taken years - but these are PERFECT! Beautiful leather, edgy/cool, and comfortable! I love how they aren't just plain black, they have character and a mixture of tones. I typically wear a size 7 shoe and 7.5 in boots and have a narrow foot. I ordered these in an 8. At first they felt a bit snug, especially in the toe, but after just one day of wearing them they are the perfect fit! A full day of work and my feet don't hurt. I was hesitant to spend this much on a pair of boots - but they are worth every penny!

I love these boots! They are super soft and very comfortable. Unfortunately I am returning them for 2 reasons that have nothing to do with the boot. First off, they are too tall for me. They come right up to my knee cap and it's a little annoying. Second and more importantly, there is a gap a the top of the boot. I have skinny calves, and the boot fits perfect until the top where it just kind of buckles outward. Very disappointed, because these are great boots.

I absolutely love this these boots have them in other colors. But I wasn't a fan of the shiny black color. Thought it was a little different but other than that the boots were perfect.

Beautiful boots! I normally wear a size 8 but after reading reviews I ordered an 8 1/2 however these boots were too tight, even at the calf. If I was wearing jeans they would not have zipped up over them. I do not need to buy wide calf so I think these boots just run quite small throughout.

Love these boots. They are so comfortable right out of the box and they look wonderful. I have had so many compliments.

I ordered a half size bigger than my usual size, based on other reviews. They were still a tiny bit tight in the toes but after first wearing the toe box stretched enough to be comfortable. Got them in black. The color is great -- black enough to wear with black leggings but can also pass for very dark brown. Love these boots!

There is such a distinction between synthetics and real leather/suede. The feel and comfort of these are fantastic.

Super cute boots but they run crazy small. In a true 7 in everything and I couldn’t force my foot in. Sadly had to return but they are extremely cute!

I had to get a full size larger but they were amazing. I love these boots. The leather is luxurious and very comfy. Best boots I’ve ever owned.

I really like the fit of these. The two different zippers helps with putting them on, they are perfect to go with a bunch of different color of pants

I usually wear a 7 so ordered a 7.5. Too small. Ordered an 8.5 AND an 8. Oddly enough the 8.5 feels smaller than the 8(which feels huge). Going to wear around the house a bit and see what’s up!

Leather is a bit stiff through the toe area, but they are wearing in nicely! Great quality boot.

Read the other reviews and went a half size larger and they fit perfectly! Love the style!

These are hands down my favorite boot purchase. I have practically lived in these since I got them and would still be wearing them if it wasn't so warm out! They are beautifully made with quality materials and great workmanship. I wear a 6.5 but after reading the reviews, I ordered a half size up. They fit perfectly and didn't require any break-in period like my other pair of Bed Stu boots did. I highly recommend these -- you won't regret it!

After searching for quite awhile for a pair of Brown riding boots, I finally took a chance on these. I am so thankful I did -- I love them! I usually wear a size 7.5 or 8, and I ordered these in an 8.5. They are quite tight, but I am hoping they will loosen up with wear. I love how dressy they are -- previously I had purchased a pair of Frye boots (that everyone was raving about), but I returned the Frye and kept the BedStu.
