I've been looking for a black leather boot like this and sadly, Frye runs too narrow for my feet. I ordered these in a 9 (I usually wear 8.5 in US shoes and 39 in European/Italian) and they fit very very nicely. Plenty of room, soft flexible leather, and they look much nicer in person than in the photos. I will apply waterproof wax and wear these through the chilly New York winter :).

These were my favorite boots... for two whole months until the zipper just broke out of nowhere. For the price, I would have expected them to be more robust and to last longer than two month. Very disappointing.

Love the look of these boots, however I bought two pairs in two different styles. One was a 9 and the other 91/2 and it felt like they were the same size though one was a bit tighter in the toe box. This is where they get snug, in the toe box. Order a half size to a whole size larger then you think you wear. Says medium width but might be more fitted than that.

I love these boots! Comfy right out of the box—though I am glad I ordered a half size up after seeing some reviews that recommended that and noting that the Bed-Stu website also says this style runs small. Very pleased and look forward to wearing these for years to come.

True to size, SLIGHTLY leaning toward the smaller side. I normally wear a 9 in most shoes, size up to 9.5 for some, yet have to wear a EUR 40 (size 10) in rag & bone and an 8.5 in Converse. ????? I went back and forth about what size to get in Bed Stu because this was my first pair. I got the 9.5 and am happy with them. A 9 would have been too small, and a 10 would have looked too long. I cannot wear super thick boot socks with the 9.5 though, so it depends on what you intend to wear. I prefer paper-thin/dressy socks with these, so they fit nicely. Very little break-in needed with these compared to other Bed Stu shoes I’ve since purchased. These shoes are very well made, stylish, unique, and I am very glad I got them.

I had been looking for high quality, stylish, lace up black boots for years. If I found a style I liked, the leather looked cheap. Once I found these boots, I knew I had hit the jackpot. The leather is superb; it’s soft but substantial and requires no break-in. The boot is the perfect height and fit - I can still get my skinny jeans over them. I took them to Pittsburgh for a work trip and got tons of compliments. I wore them with black dress pants and jeans, so they can be styled in multiple ways. Bed Stu is a quality brand too, so the price is worth it.

These boots fit really well and are quite comfy. I absolutely love them. Best boots ever and I will buy them again. Just beautiful and worth it.

These shoes are perfect! I love them so much. They fit me well with a thick sock which is what I wanted, and they are beautiful. The detail in the stitching of the leather is really stylie

I love these boots. I ordered my usual size (9) and they fit perfectly. I think my foot is about average width, and these fit snug width-wise. They didn't require too much breaking in and appear well-constructed. They came with a tag warning to use caution for the first few wears due to the possibility of dye transfer onto your clothes, but I did not experience this. If you like the style, I think they're a pretty safe bet; I really have no complaints.

If you're looking for the perfect boots look no further. These are well worth the money. Really distressed soft leather, very well made. Will go with anything. I ordered 1/2 size down and they fit perfectly. Zipper in the back makes them easy on and off. Love these boots!!!

I had waited for weeks (looking at them everyday) for these boots before I finally bought them. Well They arrived today and I was sorely disappointed, as they ran waaaaay too small! I ordered a size 7.5, and I can often be in between a 7-7.5, {and I have skinny, no-fat feet,} but these felt like a 6.5! yikes. Anyway, BACK THEY GO!
