Customer Reviews Caterpillar Echo Waterproof Steel Toe

I had to buy shoes for my ACI Certification and future projects, and selected these. They lived up to everything I read (e.g. others' reviews)- and for the price, they are beyond worth it! I wore them in pouring rain, through puddles, walking for hours, splashed concrete on them, and they held up perfectly and comfortably. They are sturdy but feminine. I don't have a narrow foot, and the toe room is great. I'm a 9.5, sometimes 10, and got these in 9.5 - wouldn't trade them for another!

I'm an apprentice pipe fitter that is currently working in a fab shop. I just received these boots this evening and tried them on for the first time. I can tell already that these are going to be comfortable to work in. At least a lot more so than my ten year old broken down boots I was swimming in. Love the extra ankle support. Lightweight and a nice flexible sole. Leads me to believe there won't be a long break-in period for them. It's so hard to find good work boots in women's sizes, not to mention the sad amount of options. Thank you, Caterpillar, for making these!

I'm on my second pair of these. I know all feet are different but I can't believe anyone would give these a bad review. These are one of my two favorite steel toes, along with Justin round toe cowboy boots. I have worn steel toed boots for the past thirty years and I found these true to size and easy to wear it. The thing that makes them better than the Justin boots is that the heel is smaller so they're better on uneven surfaces. Also, they're really high so they provide lots of ankle support. The reason I didn't give them a 5 star is that the gray and the periwinkle are a brushed leather material so they don't clean up well

Look, I loved these. I loved the color. They are so well made and felt so comfortable everywhere but my calves. I have really big calves and sadly these just felt too tight on them to be cute or comfortable. If you don’t have larger lower legs these will be great for you!

I love these boots. They're comfortable, waterproof, and the soles are great for working in wet, slippery environments.

At first, I loved them! Now, four months in, the sole is separating from the shoe! This IS supposed to be a work shoe, right? I expect more for $180!

Wow these boots are awesome! I am on my feet all day I work in a warehouse and then in a pet clinic at night and I dont even have to change my footwear because these boots are so comfortable and cute at the same time, everybody loves them ...my feet don’t hurt at all the width the weight everything is spot on, and the customer service is very very helpful, I am glad I called to ask questions!! Will buy again 100%

Very snazzy and a great color. They are very comfortable and seemed to run narrow, which is great for my small feet. Not too heavy or clunky feeling.

Was able to wear them from box to site where I walked 7/8 miles several days in a row and they were fine. Felt tight for the first hour I wore them then they loosened up. After walking in water I can confirm they are definitely waterproof :)

These are the best boots I’ve ever had. Comfortable out of the box. Details if you’re shopping: we bought two pair of these boots for two different people in the family. I wear a size 7.5 and I have a slightly narrow foot. These fit perfectly in a 7.5 for me. However, the other pair of boots for the other person were too narrow and the instep was too tight. Both of us thought they were stylish. I work landscaping, electrical, and house painting, and I will use the boots for all three. I also wear work boots regularly. The other person is not used to wearing work boots at all. So that may have been part of her complaint. I hope this is helpful for those trying to decide. Either way, it’s a very high quality, well made, and—for me—extremely comfortable boot!

Perfect all the way!!!

I love these boots, they are comfortable to wear for 11+ hours on a job-site and even walking my dogs. The only criticism I have is that my heel slips a bit and that rubbing creates some irritation. I haven’t gotten blisters but I have added an extra trouser type sock under my SmartWool socks and that has helped. (I do hope that it doesn’t accelerate wear on my SmartWool socks.) Otherwise, I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. Size wise I’m between an 8-1/2 and a 9. I went with the 8-1/2 and they are snug but the 9 would have been too big and my heel would be swimming.

Over pronators be aware. I love these boots and wanted them to work out. So cute. Comfy except, no matter how I laced them, where I fall in due to pronation I have, after 15 minutes, deep, deep indentations into the area of my leg just above and slightly in front of the inside part of my ankle. I have makes from the tongue and seaming. Dang. So comfy otherwise.

Not too heavy and super comfy!!

I ordered the boots because of the reviews, I also liked the style and color. The first day wearing the boots I had a discomfort on my left side, this caused a very uncomfortable day at work. I usually work 10 hours a day and do a lot of walking - up to 20k steps - and I feel these are not the proper boots. Other than that I really did love the boots, just not the boots for my job.

By far the best working boots i have ever tried on. I work on a jobsite that requires being on my feet often and this def is comfortable. It's stylish and gives enough support.

Fit well. Relatively lightweight & comfortable for a steel toe. One shoe has an uncomfortable fold in the tongue due to the stitching, but loosening the laces helps. I like that you can easily adjust how high you lace them up.

love! have to have steel toes for work but can still have some fun color. wore them all day at home thinking i should break them in, but no break in discomfort at all!

Love these boots. I’m an environmental engineer, and these are perfect for the job. Ankle and arch support, waterproof, and cute too! I had the gray pair for a little over 2 years. Wore those into the ground (still in decent shape though) and decided to get them again, but in purple! The color is so fun, love them.

I wear a size 10 in most shoes but some brands have to go to 9.5 or even a 9. These boots fit but were somewhat big around my arch and ankles. I returned them mainly because i changed my mind about the type of boot I wanted. The color was as pictured and they seemed like a sturdy boot.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I work in an office but occasionally have to head out to a construction field. I never found the typical brown, ankle-height steel-toe boots appealing, and thought it looked weird when you're wearing dress/work pants over these shoes. SO happy I found these on Zappos! Got MANY compliments on them, and a coworker even went and got the same pair! The pants tuck in well into this shoe and it is surprisingly light. I'm really happy I went with the grey colour - it hides the dust well.

They are my favorite

Absolutely excellent. Ordered both colors to choose which to keep, but keeping BOTH (though Frost Gray is most adaptable), even though I am not a construction worker or an apprentice pipe fitter. Boots are beautiful and comfortable, but I need to stop just sitting there feeling the leather because it feels so silky and wonderful. Just happened to stumble across these. Caterpillar...who knew?

Never in my life would I think I need work boots for a job! These are a little more fashionable and extremely comfortable!
