This is an update to my previous review. My son has now been wearing these for two months for school. Unfortunately they show wear in the toe very quickly (maybe a couple of weeks). They are well made, lightweight, and a nice style, but they are not made for playground play. His Berberlis loafers from kindergarten lasted the whole year and still looked very good. I would recommend these shoes only for special occasion wear, not for daily school wear.
I'd also recommend:
Berberlis, Naturino

My 7 year son loves how these fit. Very stylish and comfortable. They run small. Size 6 fit him when he usually wears size 4.5.

My son wears these shoes regularly, and he is very active. The leather has held up exceptionally well. Still nice and shiny and scratch-free. They are also a sturdy shoe, and very comfortable, with good rubber grip on the sole without looking clunky. Highly recommend if the wearer will be using these a lot.

First time ordering Elephantito. We’re die-hard Footmates fans, but my son has outgrown their sizing. So far so good! They seem to hold up as well as Footmates and are still a classic little-boy shoe look instead of a more modern, trendy approach.

Extremely well made shoes. My cousin instantly fall in love with them and asked that I buy him another pair. Strangely they still fit him.

I purchased these as school shoes for my son. They are buttery soft leather, cushy insole and lightweight. I cannot attest as to how they will hold up yet but the look and feel great.

The "Big Kid" size 6 is actually a size 5 - a full size smaller than shoes on average. My 10 year old loves the shoe, but it will be too tight in about 3-4 months. Sad!! These shoes are beautiful!!

for the price of these shoes and the fact they are real leather and seemed to be high quality, I thought they would be a sturdy school shoe for a 9 year old girl’s school uniform. If I had known that the quality only allows for only dressy occasion once a week or less, I would never have invested in them! The only difference between these and the Payless shoes I used to get is the price. So sad because I was so proud of purchasing these shoes for my daughter! So, not worth the price!
