These are my fourth pair of Vivo's and almost instantly became my favorites. I've been wearing the Neos and Breatho Trails for the last few years and absolutely loved them. The Trail Freak IIs are a welcome upgrade. The upper is a bit stiffer, but not at all uncomfortable. The lacing system is quick and holds tension for a long time. It can be a little difficult to get your foot in as the upper doesn't stretch very much and there isn't a true tongue on the shoe. I love that these are waterproof and have the added insert for cold weather. I took them out for a quick jog in low 30 degree weather and my feet were toasty. Even while I was cooling down and stretching, my feet never got cold. For warmer weather, just pull out the insert and you re good to go. No, these won't breathe as well as other models (largely due to the waterproof properties). My only concern is that these are so comfortable, I'll wear down the lugs quickly by wearing them on a daily basis.

I had to send them back. I have a pair of the original Trail Freak shoes. I wear them almost every day. I wanted a new pair, but all I found was Trail Freak II. After a major struggle I was able to force my feet in. Bad fit. I was so disappointed because Vivobarefoot is my favorite brand.

Great shoe. Bomber seamless construction. A tad warm in hot weather due to the waterproofness. It is a bit hard to get them on and off because of the sealed tongue. Once they're on, they're terrific.

Super comfortable. Soft seamless inside. No blister points. Great traction. Nice roomy width. Ran long, order a half size to a size down. Fantastic shoes.

These are amazing shoes! Natural barefoot feel, very aggressive and sure footed tread. Love them!

I bought this for my husband, says felt true to size but not as comfortable as should be for this price. Nice for winter time, so far!

PROS: Low profile. Good materials. Flat heel. Waterproof. CONS: Very difficult to get feet into shoes; cuffs too tight and no tongue. Outsole lugs are flimsy at heel and likely to wear out quickly. Flex at forefoot/metatarsals is tight and uncomfortable at top of toes; material bunches and flexes too far forward. Red design accents are distracting, light-reflective material as well.
